Way to Heaven & retired and forgotten
There is only one way to heaven, for Jew and Gentile alike. Any one who thinks they are going to get there by some other way than God's way will be disappointed big time. If you died today and stood before God, what would you say? You will not gain heaven on the basis of what you have done, but rather what Christ has done. If you could good work your way in, Christ would not have had to die for your sins. If the Bible is clear on anything it is clear on this: It's not by works of righteousness we have done but according to God's mercy he saved us,-- for by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast. Christ died for our sins and He offers to save all who come unto God by him. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Would you pray a simple prayer, right now and ask Him to come into your heart? ....." Dear God, be merciful to me a sinner, I confess my sin, I believe Christ died for me and that His precious blood will cleanse me from all my sin. By faith I now receive the Lord Jesus Christ into my heart as my Lord and my Savior. Help me Lord to do your will each day, In Jesus name I pray, amen............." You can show your love for the Lord and others as you pray and give out personal Bibles - 1 Corinthians 3:9 says For we are labourers together with God....................................................... ####Retired and forgotten#### --*Remember that kind old white hair couple who always sat in the 3rd pew on the right? (You remember Marjorie and Bill) Did you know they did'nt move away but they did move into a seniors home out on the townline. They moved there until they are called to their eternal reward. Don't they still need Christian fellowship? What can you do to help? This area of ministry has an overwhelming need. Are you free once and awhile to walk the mile with your local seniors, to visit, to read the Bible, maybe sing a few songs (you know, the old hymns of the church,- the one's they remember) Ask your Pastor, he can't do it alone, are you not called too? Pray about it. It is not high profile, but do you want to be recognized by men?
