~WONDERFUL, ISN'T HE?~

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder;
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor,
The mighty God, The everlasting Father,
The Prince of Peace."
-----Isa. 9: 6.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
When we read the prophecies of our Savior's birth, we see many of the names which He would be called. He is truly wonderful, and the greatest Counselor this world could ever know. He is the Prince of Peace who will rule over a kingdom of peace which shall never cease.

Even those in Old Testament days looked forward to the
coming of the Messiah. They knew the government would
one day be upon His shoulders. There was only one way
for man to have a way back to God. Only one was worthy
to be the mediator between God and man, and to be the
perfect sacrifice for our sins.

This child, without sin, whom Mary carried would one day
carry the sins of the world to the old rugged cross and
pay the price that we might go free. A lost and dying
world was given one perfect plan to have eternal life
and peace forevermore.

It's hard to understand how the atheists, agnostics, and doubters can question the birth and life of our Lord and Savior. Because He lives, we can face tomorrow with the assurance of one day living with the Lord forever in His kingdom. All who have been born again have His blessed promises and know for a child of God, the best is yet to come.

Jesus is more than wonderful to us and as the words to
a children's song tell us, "every day with Jesus is sweeter
than the day before." One day our hope will become a
reality and our Lord will split the eastern skies to come
for His bride. What a day, wonderful day, that will be!
Until that time, keep the faith and let His wonderful
love fill your heart and soul with peace and joy in
all seasons.

Wonderful, Isn't He?

Our Blessed Saviour was born in Bethlehem,
He lay in an earthly manger filled with hay,
Christ our Lord came in robes in flesh,
born as a babe, on that first Christmas Day.

Our Savior was called Wonderful,
Mighty God and the Prince of Peace,
He was born to die for the sins of men,
destined for a Kingdom which shall never cease.

Holy Lord, was this child of Mary,
Son of God and King of all Kings,
Shepherds came to adore Him,
Wise men worshipped, while angels sang.

Mary's child, the only begotten Son of God,
Heaven's plan fulfilled of the Great "I AM",
Great High Priest and our Intercessor,
Forever His kingdom will stand.

"Wonderful, Isn't He?"
His virgin Mother must have said in awe and praise,
This child of God grew in love and wisdom,
A supreme sacrifice, His life He freely gave.

Resurrected in power and glory,
He led those captive to their heavenly home on high,
Wonderful, Counselor, and soon coming Lord,
Because Jesus lives, we shall never die.

Wonderful, Isn't He?

QUOTES AND ONE-LINERS

A wise man will make more opportunities than he finds.

I'd rather be a fool in the eyes of men, than a fool in the eyes of God.

Wise are those who learn that the bottom line doesn't
always have to be their top priority.

There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.

Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.

A burden shared is a lighter load.

~EARLY IN THE MORNING~

"My voice shall thou hear
in the morning, O Lord;
in the morning will I direct
my prayer to thee."
.....Psalm 5 :3
``````````
Isn't it great to be able to feel the presence of the Lord every day?
Jesus is just as close as the mention of His holy name.
By faith, we can reach out and touch the Lord.
When the sun rises over the earth and the birds begin to sing a morning melody, the Spirit of the Lord is waiting for God's children to welcome His presence into their day.
Communion with the Lord makes each day
take on a new meaning.
As the sun gives the earth light and life,
God's presence and warmth puts His holy zeal into our lives.
His Word gives light to guide souls in the right direction, through the power of His blessed Holy Spirit.
The Psalmist David knew the power of prayer and
fellowship with the Lord.
His request was for the Lord to hearken and hear
the voice of his cry and to consider his meditation.
Our meditations on the Lord and prayers for others do not go unnoticed.
Jesus is always there and intercedes for us,
as our Great High Priest.
No request is insignificant or no problem too big for God to hear, answer, and meet the need.
Adam Clark teaches about God's presence in His commentary and says:
" Every holy soul has, throughout eternity, the beautific vision, i.e., "it sees God as He is," because it is like Him; { 1Jo 3:2}. It drinks in beautification from the presence of the Eternal Trinity. Thy right hand is the place of honor and dignity; repeatedly used in this sense in the Scriptures. Pleasures for evermore means onwardly;
perpetually, continually, well expressed by our translation, ever and more; an eternal progression. Think of duration in the most extended and unlimited manner, and there is still more; more to be enjoyed in heaven."
He also says, "Great God, grant that my readers may have this beatific sight; this eternal progression in unadulterated, unchangeable, and unlimited happiness! Hear this prayer for his sake, who found out the path of life,
and who by His blood purchased an entrance into the holiest! We give thanks for the blood of Jesus which purchased our salvation and lets us boldly present our needs to the Lord at His mercy seat."
Focused prayer is a prayer directed only to the Lord out of pure motives. It is a prayer by one on the pathway of life, whose way has been purchased and paved by the Lord Jesus Christ. Our prayers are as a sweet incense rising
to the Father and are pleasing to Him when our worship is in 'spirit and in truth.'
We know we have a God who will hear us and we can go boldly to God's throne of grace because of "who we are" in Him. It is not because of our works of righteousness, but because of Who we belong to and "in whom we live, move, and have our being." He will make us what we need to be,
as we give Him every part of our lives and submit to Him.
God's plan of salvation calls all to accept His invitation.
Through the quickening power of His Holy Spirit, souls can be born again, made new and worthy by the blood of the Lamb. What a wonderful Savior! What a wonderful plan.
God gives His salvation to "whosoever will hear"
and answer the call of His Spirit.
May our hearts be stirred each new day to arise in His power and strength. He will carry us through the day and embrace us with His love in the midnight hour, if we only look to Him. His love will compass us about with favor as a shield. Let all those who put their trust in Him rejoice
and shout for joy, for He will defend and bless His children.
Blessings in Christ,
PRAYER OF FAITH
Prayer is said to be the key to heaven
Faith unlocks the door,
When we go to the Lord in prayer,
On wings of faith our hearts will soar.
The Lord picks us up when we feel down
His love for us will never cease,
His grace is all sufficient,
He fills our lives with joy and peace.
Prayer in faith will touch the hem of His garment
He will reach down to lift us up in His grace,
What a wonderful privilege to take all our cares to God,
In the arms of the Blessed Lord, we will always be safe.
QUOTES AND ONE-LINERS
"Faith is the open door for entering into the present,
perfect, and eternal love of God."
The zeal of faith is according to knowledge,
and its strivings are the preludes to sublime peace.
Faith is to religion what sails are to a ship;
it is an addition of power, not an added burden of life.
Do your best, then sleep in peace.
God is awake all night.
There is no better exercise for the heart than reaching
down and lifting people up.
Honor's a lease for life to come.
Freedom is fragile--handle it with prayer.
To cope with life, have hope in Christ.
Have a Blessed Day!
"The Lord redeemeth the soul of His servants;
and none of them that trust in Him shall be desolate."
.........Psalm 34: 22.
