Statement of Beliefs
![]() 1. There is one true God, who is perfect, existing eternally, having revealed Himself in three persons as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. [1 Cor 12:4-6; Eph 4:4-6] 2. The Son, Jesus, is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and died on the cross to pay the penalty for mankind’s sin. Jesus was physically resurrected from the dead, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will one day return in power and glory. [1 Cor 15:3-4; Isa 9:6; Titus 2:13] 3. The Holy Spirit is sent to be the Comforter, to seal, indwell, guide, teach, sanctify, and empower the believer. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. His gifts and manifestations will operate through present-day Christians who yield to Him. [John 16:7-13; John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; Eph 5:18; Rom 12:6-8] 4. We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, as originally inspired, to be the inerrant, supreme, revealed Word of God. The Bible is the only infallible rule of faith and conduct. [2 Tim 3:16] 5. Man was created good, but fell from his sinless state by voluntary transgression. Sin passed to all men through Adam. All have individually sinned and are under just condemnation without defense or excuse. Mankind’s only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, by virtue of His shed blood. [Rom 5:9; Eph 1:7; 1 Jn 1:7; Rev 12:11; Gen 1:27; Isa 59:1-2; Rom 3:23] 6. Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ’s sacrificial death on the cross for all mankind. Those who repent and place their faith in him are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and become the children of God. Salvation is possible only through God’s grace, and not by man’s works. [Titus 3:4-5; Rom 6:23; Rom 10:9-10; Eph 2:8-9] 7. Water Baptism should follow the experience of the new birth as a public witness to one’s faith. [Matt 28:18-20] 8. The Bible teaches a life of holiness. By the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word, believers are able to obey the commands of the Lord. “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.” [I John 5:3] 9. The Body of Christ is made up of all who have been born again, regardless of denominational differences. Each believer is an integral part of the church of Jesus Christ, and has a vital role in winning the lost to Christ and discipling believers to maturity. [Eph 1:22-23; Heb 10:24-25] 10. Provision is made in the redemptive work of Jesus for the healing of the body as well as the soul and spirit. Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are taught in the scriptures and are privileges for the church in this present age. [James 5:14] ![]() |
