Promise of 2008

Promise of the year 2008 - Zechariah 4:6-7
Zechariah 4:6-7
King James Version (KJV)

Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Zechariah 4:6-7
New International Version (NIV)

So he said to me, "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty.

"What are you, O mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of 'God bless it! God bless it!' "
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Greetings to you all in the sweet name of our Lord Jesus Christ. God has enabled us to see the New year 2008.
I wish you all a Happy and Graceful New Year 2008.
God has given a great Promise! It is from Zechariah 4:6-7

" Not By Might Nor By Power But By My Spirit. O Great Mountain, You will become Plain Before Zerubbabel " says the Lord of Hosts.

Zerubbabel was the Governor of Judah. He was the Leader who brought 42, 360 Jewish people back from the exile. He was trying to build the second Temple of Jerusalem for 16 years. God encouraged him with the following words we read in Haggai 2:4-5.

1. Be Strong!
2. Work!
3. God is with You!
4. The Spirit of God remains among you!
5. Do not Fear!

Even though he had all these promises, he could not complete the task he was trying to do. We might be in the same situation all these years. We might have tried with the help of might (army - influence of others) and effort (our power). We could not succeed. GREAT MOUNTAIN in our life. We couldn't make the mountain flat. Now God says: O Great Mountain, you will become plain before God's chosen people. It is Not By Might Nor By Power But By God's Spirit.

This will be the promise for 2008 and Believe it!

Promise of 2007
-------------
Be not afraid, O land; be glad and rejoice. Surely the LORD has done great things. (NIV)
Don't be afraid, my people. Be glad now and rejoice, for the LORD has done great things. (NLT)
Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things (KJV)
Fear not, O land; Be glad and rejoice, For the LORD has done marvelous things! (NKJV)
Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice, for the Lord has done great things (AMP)
First is the Command of the Lord: Be Not Afraid ? The phrase ? Fear Not ? is mentioned 365 times in the Bible. Its like we can use one ?Fear not? everyday. Fear is a Spirit. We need to get rid of the Fear from our mind. We should fear only for God. Don?t worry about your problem; let your problem worry about you.
Power: God gave the promise to Noah, that every living creatures will fear for Noah. God has given powr to Noah over the creatures. When the creatures look at Noah, they will fear and terror. Dear child of God, you need to understand this truth. God has empowered you over all the things of this world.
Gen. 9:2- All the animals of the earth, all the birds of the sky, all the small animals that scurry along the ground, and all the fish in the sea will look on you (Noah) with fear and terror. I have placed them in your power.
Protection: The God who has given power over everything is protecting us. He will reward us too. Look at the following verse.
Gen.15:1 -Do not be afraid, Abram, for I will protect you, and your reward will be great.
When God wants us to bless, He might take us to a different location like He did to Jacob. Jacob was uncertain about his future and he was hesitating to go to Egypt. But God said the following verse to Jacob.
Gen. 46:3- Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for there I will make your family into a great nation.
If we are afraid, we will lose our faith and our hope on God. But if we don?t fear about the future, He will make our family into a great nation.

We need to fear for God. When we fear for God, He will deliver us out of the hands of our enemies.
2 Kings 17:39- the LORD your God ye shall fear; and he shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies

Second Command is Be Glad and Rejoice!
Neh. 8:10 - for the joy of the LORD is your strength ? Ezra
Psalms 37:4 - Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart
Philippians 4:6 - Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
Third is a Message: Surely the Lord has done great things.
Blessings (Great Things) of God to His children
v.23 - Be glad, O people of Zion, rejoice in the LORD your God, for he has given you.
v. 24 - The threshing floors will again be piled high with grain, and the presses will overflow with new wine and olive oil.
v. 25 - The LORD says, ?I will give you back what you lost. (NLT)
And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten (KJV)
v. 26 - Once again you will have all the food you want, and you will praise the LORD your God,
who does these miracles for you. Never again will my people be disgraced. (NLT)
And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. (KJV)
v. 27 - and my people shall never be ashamed
Child of God, our Lord of Hosts is a promise keeping God. His words are yea and amen. He will fulfill this promise in your life and will not put you into shame. God bless!

Promise of God for 2006
=======================
New year greetings to you all in the sweet name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We wish You a Happy, Blessed, Healthy & Prosperous New Year 2006. The promise of this year 2006 is Isaiah 40:31.

"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Praise be to God! God's word says, the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: but they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Being God's child is a great privilege. Christian life is a life of faith. So we need to wait for the Lord, He is going to exalt us. Unless we have a faith on the Word of God, we won't wait on the Lord. If we wait on the Lord and keep His ways, He will help us to inherit the land (Ps. 37:34).

Isaiah uses a beautiful word in the original (qavah, kaw?vaw') to describe the unique relationship between the LORD God and His people who walk by faith.

"Renew" means change or exchange. The word is associated with the molting of eagle's wings as it exchanges its old feathers for new ones and is fitted for those spectacular flights into the higher altitudes. For those who patiently wait upon the LORD He wraps His strength around our stand of life and gives us inner strength. We can live above the chances, the changes and circumstances of life. We exchange our weakness for His strength. We can only get that strength by waiting upon Him and wrapping ourselves around Him and drawing our strength from Him. The strength which He bestows is a new kind of strength. All purely human strength tends downward toward decay and death, even the best of it (v.30) But those who wait in expectant dependence upon God??have confidence in His control of life and commit life to His control??shall renew their strength, exchange that which they have for a new quality of strength, the power of God.

Our renewal comes from God?s grace and strength. Christ died not only to save us from sins in the past, not only to give us eternal life so we will go to heaven, but to give us His resurrection life today!

He gives us His strength in our weakness! He gives us His wisdom in our foolishness. He gives us His grace when we are greedy. He gives us His love for our lust. He gives us His peace for our conflicts. He gives us His joy in our sorrows. He gives us forgiveness when we feel guilty. He gives us His plenty for our poverty, Amen! Hallelujah!

Its more important to wait on the Lord patiently like Abraham (Heb. 6:17) and like a farmer (husband man) until he receives the precious fruit (James 5:7).

When we submit/ humble ourselves under the mighty arm of God, He will do mighty things in our life (1 Pet. 5:6). He will renew our strength and will exalt us. Amen! God bless.

WISH YOU ALL A HAPPY, BLESSED, PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR 2006

Promise for the New Year 2005- 2 Chro. 20:17
=================================
Ye shall not need to fight in this battle; set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem; fear not, nor be dismayed, tomorrow go out against them; for the Lord will be with you

Ye shall not need to fight in this battle; set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem; fear not, nor be dismayed, tomorrow go out against them; for the Lord will be with you

The above promise is God?s gracious answer to Jehoshaphat?s prayer. While he was yet speaking God heard: before the congregation was dismissed they had assurance given them that they should be victorious; for it is never in vain to seek God.

The spirit of prophecy came upon a Levite in the midst of the congregation.(v14) He was of the sons of Asaph, and therefore one of the singers; on that office God would put an honor. There needed no sign, the thing itself was to be performed the very next day, and that would be confirmation enough to his prophecy.

He encouraged them to trust in God, though the danger was very threatening(v15): Be not afraid. The battle is not yours; the battle is God?s.

He gives them intelligence of the motions of the enemy, and orders them to march towards them, with particular directions where they should find them. Tomorrow (the day after the fast) go you down against them, (v16, 17).

He assures them that they should be, not the glorious instruments, but the joyful spectators, of the total defeat of the enemy: You shall not need to strike a stroke; the work shall be done to your hands; only stand still and see it (v17) Let but the Christian soldier go out against his spiritual enemies, and the God of peace will tread them under his feet and make him more than a conqueror.

Jehoshaphat and his people received these assurances with faith, reverence and thankfulness. They bowed their heads, Jehoshaphat first, then all the people fell before the Lord and worshipped. They lifted up their voices in praise to God (v19)

May God Make this Year a Victorious One

Promise of the year 2004 - Jeremiah 32:39-41
--------------------------------------------
Then I will give them one hear and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good one of them and their children after them. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them,

that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will not turn away from doing from good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me

Yes I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will assuredly plant them in this land, with all My heart and with all My soul.
