Team Name: AFC = Alpha Fire Company
Team Insignia: Red Olive Tree on black background. This symbol was taken from the Israeli Defence Force's Golani Brigade. The Golani Brigade (also known as Brigade No. 1) is an Israeli infantry brigade that was formed February 28, 1948. It is one of the most highly decorated infantry units in the IDF. The symbol of the brigade is an olive tree. The olive tree is known for its strong roots that penetrate and firmly hold the land, thus this symbol was chosen for our team.
Golani is the most veteran IDF brigade and earned a reputation for its die-hard soldiers: who tend to be fearless, impulsive and warm. These qualities are expressed in braveness, toughness and quick response - producing excellent warriors who can handle the hardest situation. Golani is known for its high "warrior comraderie" among the troops.
On the Field: Being a Special Missions Unit, we look for small missions like clearing a fort, smokin out a sniper, or leading the charge into a heavily defended village. If the team we are on finds themselves in a situation were they need someone to run up and take that forward bunker we will gladly volunteer.
The Squad: The squad is made up of players with all levels of experience. We may only be a few in number, but we will join forces with anyone on the field. We find that using proven tactics that put two or three guns working together is a powerful force.
Our Gear: We use a wide range of gear. Mostly Tippmanns with various upgrades. We just love the sport of paintball and believe that using reliable gear combined with team training and the guts to jump into the action makes “Team AFC” a force to be reckoned with.
Why We Play: We play because it’s a blast. It doesn’t matter if it’s a big game with hundreds of people or just a few of us playing in our woods at home, we love every minute of it. There is nothing like the sport of paintball. We will see you on the battlefield!
