Romans - Revelation ![]() Chapter 1: Verses 1-6-Paul teaches from Holy Scripture regarding Jesus, and to the Gentiles for they are called to belong to Jesus Christ also. Verses 14-17-Paul said, “I am obligated to preach this gospel to all and I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus, it is the power of God to all who believe it, for we live by faith in it.” Verses 25-31-Paul speaks to God’s truth made a lie, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, man is filled with every kind of wickedness. Chapter 2: Verses 2-3-we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on His truth. Verses 10-11-there is glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good for God does not show favoritism. Verse 29-no man is a Jew just because he is circumcised by the code of the Law, he is God’s if he is circumcised in his heart. Chapter 3: Verses 10-18-the Old Testament Bible says, “there is no one righteous and there is no one who seeks God, all o us have turned away, there is not one who does good, not one. Their mouths are full of cursing and their feet are swift to shed blood, and we don’t fear God.” (Psalm 5:9; 36:1; 51:4; 140:3) Verses 23-24-we have all sinned, but we are justified by God’s grace through faith in Jesus. Chapter 4: Verse 3-what does Old Testament Scripture say, “Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness.” (Genesis 22:7-14; Hebrews 11:17) Verses 12-16-God is also the father of all, circumcised or uncircumcised, Abraham is the father of all that believed (Hebrews 11). Verses 23-24-this faith is for all who believe. Chapter 5: Verses 1-3-so, we being justified by faith, we have peace with God. How? Through Jesus Christ the Lord of us all! Chapter 6: Verses 1-6-if we died to sin how can we live in it any longer? We should know if we are baptized into Christ, we live a new life, the old man is in Jesus crucified for us. Verses 19-23-we are weak in out natural selves, the wages of that sin is death, but God’s gift of eternal life is in Christ Jesus makes Him our Lord. Chapter 7: Verses 4-6-we died to the law through Jesus and live by His grace in His resurrection. Verses 10-15-I found that the commandment of God actually brought death, but without Jesus I cannot keep them, I am unspiritual with out Jesus, I cannot understand God’s plan. Verses 24-25-man in himself is wretched, then who will rescue me? Thank God it is in Christ our Lord we are free. Chapter 8: Verses 3-4-for what the law and commandment could not do, God sending His Son in likeness of sin, condemned sin on the cross for us, we live according to the Spirit, for the mind of the Spirit is life. Verse 28-all things work for God’s good by those who love God and who have been called for His purpose. Verse 31-if God is for us who can be against us! Verses 37-38-in all things we, His people, are more than conquerors through God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, all are one (John 17:22-24). Chapter 9: Verses 1-5-Paul said, “I have great sorrow and anguish in my heart for Israel, my own race, to the point I would wish I myself were cursed for their sakes, for they are my brothers.” Verse 16-all things depend on God’s mercy (love). (Psalm 136) Verses 24-25-God called Jews and Gentiles by his mercy (it is written in Hosea 1:10; 2:23). Chapter 10: Verse 4-so Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for all who believe (Hebrews 1:14). Verses 8-10-what does the Bible say? The Word (John 1:1-4) is in you, that is the Word, Jesus, by faith we are proclaiming if you confess this truth, God raised Jesus from the dead, you are saved. Verses 16-17-but not all the Israelites accepted the good news, that is Jesus the Word. Faith comes from hearing! Chapter 11: Verse 1-Paul is an Israelite from the tribe of Benjamin. Verse 11-because of Israel’s sins salvation has come to the Gentiles. Verses 34-36-who has known the mind of the Lord? To Him be all glory forever, amen! Chapter 12: Verse 5-in Christ we who are many are in Christ. One and each member belongs to all the others. God has given us gifts of prophecy, serving, teaching, encouraging, giving, leadership and showing mercy. Let His mercy be done (Psalm 136:1-26)! Verse 9-our love must be sincere! Verse 14-bless those who persecute you! Verse 21-do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Chapter 13: Verse 10-love does not harm to anyone, therefore love is fulfilling the law. Verse 14-clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ. Chapter 14: Verse 1-accept the weak in faith. Verse 8-if we live, we live to the Lord, also if we die, we die to the Lord, for we belong to the Lord. Verses 11-12-it is written in Isaiah 45:23, “ before Me, says the Lord, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess, so then, each one of us will give an account of himself to God.” (Revelation 22:12-14) Chapter 15: Verses 1-4-we who are strong ought to bear with the weak, for everything that is written in the Old Testament was written to teach us so we might have hope. Verse 7-accept one another just as Christ accepted you to bring praise to God. Verses 12-13-Isaiah says, “The Gentiles will hope in Jesus, so may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him.” Verses 16-17-Paul said, “I am a minister of Christ to the Gentiles and I do this by the Holy Spirit, so I glory in Jesus in my service.” Chapter 16: Verses 1-2-Paul said to the people in Rome, “I commend to you our sister in Christ, Phoebe, she may need you, she has been a great help to many people, including me.” Verse 5-Epenetus was the first convert to Christ in the province of Asia. Verse 7-2 relatives of Paul were in Christ before he was and Herodion (verse 11), a relative also. Verses 17-18-Paul said to them, “watch our for those who cause divisions, for such people are not serving our Lord as Christ, Be careful of their smooth talk and flattery, they deceive the minds of nanve people.” Verse 20-the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet, may His (Jesus) grace be with you. Chapter 1: Verse 10-Paul said to the Corinthian church, “I appeal to you, brothers, in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, that all must agree with one another in His Name so there will be no divisions among you. Be united in your minds in God.” Verses 18-19-Remember the message of the cross of Jesus is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God (Isaiah 29:13-16; 30:18). Verses 26-29-(this if for me, Elmer Reeve) what was my life, not many of us were wise by human standards, but God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, God chose me in weakness, I boast not. Chapter 2: Verses 1-5-Paul said, “I came to you Corinthians in a humble testimony about God and all I want is for you to know Jesus so that your faith might not be in man but in God and His wisdom.” Verses 15-16-the man with a spiritual mind makes spiritual judgments. For who has known the mind of the Lord, but we have the mind of Christ (Isaiah 40:11-15). (This letter was written by Paul in the time A.D. 55. He was in Ephesus. The city of Corinth was a wicked city) Chapter 3: Verses 1-4-sometimes we can be spiritual but not wise. Milk is good but solid food (II Timothy 2:15) is needed. Man would rather follow man, not God. Verse 9-for we are God’s fellow workers, God’s building. Verse 11-for no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, that is Jesus Christ. Verses 16-17-don’t you know that we are God’s temple. Verse 23-you and I are of Christ, and Christ is of God. Chapter 4: Verse 4-my conscience must be clear for it is God the Lord who judges us. Verse 6-do not go beyond what is written in the Bible. Verses 9-16-we are put on display like men condemned in the arena. Verse 20-for the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power. Chapter 5: Verses 1-5-a man with a great sin should be handed over to Satan so that the sinful nature may be destroyed and that his spirit be saved on the day of the Lord. Verse 12-Paul said, “it is not my business to judge those outside the church, God will judge them, but you, expel the sinful among you. Chapter 6: Verses 9-10-do you not know that the wicked will not inherit God’s kingdom. The wicked are those sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexuals, thieves, drunkards, swindlers. Verse 13-the body is not meant for sexual immorality, but it is meant for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. Verse 15-your bodies are members of Christ (Colossians 2:6-17). Chapter 7: Verses 1-2-it is good if we could go on and not get married and serve God, but there is so much immorality in us that it is good to marry. Verse 9-it is better to marry than to burn with passion. Verses 19-24-as for circumcision, that is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, keeping God’s commands is what counts, stay the way you were when you were saved. Brothers, each man is responsible to God, so remain in the situation God called you to. Chapter 8: Verse 3-the man or woman who loves God is known by God (but in Matthew 7:22-23 beware). Verse 6-there is but one God, He is the Father and there is one Lord, He is Jesus, in Him all things came to be and in Him we live. Chapter 9: Verses 16-19-Paul said, “when I preach the gospel of Jesus Christ I do not boast, for I am compelled to preach it, I voluntarily do it, in this I make myself your slave.” Verse 25-everyone who competes in the games go into training (II Timothy 2:14-16). They do it to get a crown, but we should do it to get a crown that will last forever. I beat my body and make it my slave to please God (Proverbs 3:6-8). Chapter 10: Verses 5-7-God was not pleased with Israel (Exodus 32:5-7) so Paul said, “we should keep our selves from setting our hearts on evil things.” Verses 11-13-God is warning us in the ages, He said, “no temptation has seized you except what is common to man, and God is faithful, He loves you, He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.” Verses 14-17-Paul refers to the Lord’s supper. Chapter 11: Verses 3-4-now we must realize how God works, Christ works in man, God works in Christ (II Corinthians 5:17-19), and man works with woman. Verses 5-10-every woman who prays or prophesies is in God’s work with man. Verses 11-12-in the Lord women are not independent of man, not is man independent of women, but everything comes from God. Verses 23-26-Paul reminds all in the church of the Lord’s supper. Verse 27-but whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and the blood of the Lord. Verse 30-that is why many are weak and sick, and a number of you have died. Chapter 12: Verses 3-4-no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God can say, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord.” It can be done only by the Holy Spirit. It is God working all gifts by the Spirit. Verse 11-all these are the work of one and the same Spirit and He gives them to each one just as He determines. Verse 13-for the church was all baptized by on Spirit into one body. Chapter 13: Verses 1-3-all the parts of the church body is gifts from God in love (love is the greatest gift given to us). Verses 4-8-how does this love work, it is patient and kind, no envy, no boasting, not proud or rude, does not become self seeking, not easy to be angered, keeps no record of peoples wrongs, does not delight in evil, but, does rejoice in the truth. Love never fails! Verse 13-there are 3 things-faith, hope and love. The greatest is love! Chapter 14: Verse 4-he who prophesies (preach the gospel) edifies the whole church. Verses 15-16-Paul says, “I will pray and sing with my spirit and my mind.” (Isaiah 28:11-12) Verse 33-for God is not a God of disorder but of peace (Hebrews 12:14). Chapter 15: Verses 3-8-Paul said, “what I received, this is important, that Christ died for our sins.” He received this from the Scriptures (Old Testament-Isaiah 53:5). Verse 13-if there is no resurrection of the dead, if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless. Verse 20-but Christ has been raised! Verses 27-28-for God has put everything under Jesus feet so that god may be all in all (Matthew 28:18). Verses 42-43-the resurrection of the dead, the body that is sown is perishable, but it is raised imperishable, and it is raised in glory and power. Verse 58-my dear brothers, stand firm! Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord because you know that your labor in the Lord Jesus is not in vain. Chapter 16: Verses 1-4-collecting money for the men you have approved. Verses 10-11-Paul’s approval of Timothy! Verses 13-14-be on your guard, stand firm in the faith, be men and women of courage, be strong and do everything in God’s love. Verse 21-Paul wrote the greeting to the church in his own hand at this time. Paul had a helper who wrote the letter while he dictated but Paul wrote the final words in his own handwriting. Chapter 1: Verses 20-21-no matter how many promises God has made to us they are all yes in Christ Jesus. Now it is God who makes us stand firm and that is in our Lord Jesus Christ. Verse 22-God put His Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. Chapter 2: Verses 5-11-the punishment inflicted on the one we dealt with, the one in the past by the majority, it was sufficient for him, now we ought to forgive and comfort him (I Corinthians 5:1-5). Verse 17-unlike so many, we do not peddle the Word of God for profit, God makes us sincere for all men to come to God. Chapter 3: Verses 2-3-we are letters, written on our hearts is the Word of God. Verse 18-and we should reflect the Lord’s glory, are we being transformed into Jesus’ likeness. He, Jesus, is the Spirit. Chapter 4: Verse 10-we always carry around in our body the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. Verse 14-we know this, the one who raised Jesus will also raise us. Chapter 5: Verse 10-for we must appear before the judgment seat of Christ that each one may receive what is due him, whether good or bad (Revelation 22:18-20)! Chapter 6: Verses 1-2-we are God’s fellow workers. Do not receive God’s grace in vain (Isaiah 49:8-9) at this time, it is for your salvation. Verses 7-8-we do this in truthful speech and in the power of God. Verse 16-for we are the temple of the living God, we are His people (II Samuel 7:14-16) and God’s love for us is forever. Chapter 7: Verse 1-so we purify ourselves for God’s work in us! Verse 10-Godly sorrow brings repentance and that leads to salvation. Chapter 8: Verses 1-15-generosity-the churches gave as much as they were able. Some of them urgently pleaded for the privilege of sharing in this service. See that all of you excel in this grace of giving. Chapter 9: Verse 5b-it will be received as a generous gift, not as one grudgingly given. Verses 6-7-we must remember this, whoever gives sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever gives generously will also get generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver (II Kings 12:6-9). Chapter 10: Verse 3-people of the Lord, though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does (Hebrews 12:14). Verse 18-it is not the one who commands himself that is approved, no it is the Lord who commands us. Chapter 11: Verse 13-such men who are false apostles, deceitful workmen, they are masquerading as apostles of Christ, for it is Satan that masquerades as an angel of light. Verses 16-33-Paul boasts about his sufferings, “I Paul boast about all of this, I am a Hebrew, an Israelite, Abraham’s descendant, and I am a servant of Christ Jesus the Lord God.” Chapter 12: Verses 9-10-Paul said, “God said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.’ For when I am weak then I am made strong.” Verse 15-Paul said to the Corinthians, “I will very gladly spend for you everything I have. If I love you more will you love me less?” Verse 21-and he said, “When I come to you I will be grieved over many who have sinned and have not repented of the impurity they have indulged in.” (Romans 3:21-24) Chapter 13: Verses 1-4-Paul’s third visit to the church in Corinth-there must be established accountability, I know you are demanding proof that Christ is speaking through me, to be sure that He, Jesus, was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by God’s power, the same way we to are weak in Him yet we will live by God’s power. Verses 5-6-we should examine ourselves to see faith, we must realize that Christ Jesus is in us. Verse 8-for we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth (John 4:24; 14:6)! Verses 11-14-Paul’s love for the people of Corinth-”finally, brothers, good bye! Aim for perfection! Listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace and the God of peace will be with you (Hebrews 12:14-16). Greet one another with Godly love. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” Paul said, “my love to all of you in Christ Jesus, amen!” (I Corinthians 16:24) Chapter 1: Verse 13-Paul says he was called by God, “and you have heard of my previous way of life, how intensely I persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it.” (Acts 9:1-31) Chapter 2: Verse 8-”God, who was at work in the ministry of Peter as an apostle to the Jews, was also at work in my ministry as an apostle to the Gentiles.” (Hosea 2:23) Verses 15-17-Jews by birth and Gentiles know that a man is not justified by law but by faith in Jesus Christ, not by observing the law, by the law no one is justified. Does that mean that Christ promotes sin? Absolutely not! (Romans 6:1-9) Verses 20-21-I have been crucified with Christ, I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. I do not set aside the grace of God, but could righteousness be gained through the law? If that is true Christ died in vain! Chapter 3: Verse 7-Abraham’s faith understand that those who believe are children of Abraham’s by faith (Genesis 12:1-4). Verses 25-26-know that faith in Jesus has come, we are no longer under the supervision of law, we are all sons of God through faith in Christ (Messiah) Jesus (Savior). (John 4:23-24) Chapter 4: Verse 21-tell me all who want to be under the law, are you not aware, you cannot escape the law (Romans 3:9-20). Chapter 5: Verse 6-for in Christ Jesus neither law nor you have any value, the only thing that counts is faith expressed through love. Verses 14-15-the entire law is summed up in a single command, love your neighbor as yourself-stop destroying yourselves. Verse 18-if you are led by the Spirit you are not under the law. Verses 22-25-the fruit of God’s Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control, against all this there is no law. Chapter 6: Verses 1-2-the law of Christ is this, if a brother is caught in a sin help him. Verse 3-you are nothing, Christ is all! Verses 7-8-a man reaps what he sows. Verse 10-therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people (Hebrews 12:14), especially the family of believers. Verse 12-those who want to make a good impression are trying to compel you to be circumcised so they can boast about your flesh not your spirit (Romans 12:14). Chapter 1: Verses 3-5-God has blessed His people in heaven with spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus, for He chose us in Him before the creation of this world. Verses 9-10-God has made known to us the mystery of all this in Christ! He did this to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, that is Christ Jesus. Verses 13-14-we also who believed were included, we were marked with a seal, and that is in the Holy Spirit, and this is God’s praise of His glory. Verse 22-God placed all things under Jesus and appointed Him to be the head over everything (Matthew 28:18). Chapter 2: Verses 9-10-not by our works, for we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus. Verse 13-you who are Gentiles, who once were far away have been brought to God by Jesus. Verses 16-18-in this way God reconciled both Jew and Gentile, for through Jesus we all can have access to God. Verse 22-Gentiles and Jews, in Him (Jesus), you are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit (Colossians 2:9-12). Chapter 3: Verses 4-7-by reading Paul’s knowing the mystery of Christ which was not made known to men in other generations, it is now being revealed by the Spirit to God’s people. This is the mystery, Christ is for the Israelites and Gentiles all in one body. Verse 12-in Jesus Christ and through faith in Him we can approach God with freedom and confidence. Chapter 4: Verse 2-now make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bonds of peace. Verse 7-each one of us grace has been given (Psalm 68:18-19). Verses 9-10-Jesus, in God, descended to the lower, earthly regions, who also ascended higher than all the heavens in order to fill the whole universe (Acts 1:9). Chapter 5: Verses 1-7-be imitators of God and live a life of love just as Christ loved you. Verse 15-be very careful how you live, as wise as Jesus. Verse 18-be filled with the Spirit of God. Chapter 6: Verses 8-9-the Lord will reward everyone for the good he does, whether he is weak or strong, God has no favoritism. Verse 10-put on the full armor of God, the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, have feet of peace in the gospel, helmet of faith and the sword of the Word. Chapter 1: Verses 9-10-and this is my prayer, that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ. Verse 18-the important thing is that in every way Christ is preached, and because of this (this day is 5/21/04) I rejoice (Grandpa Reeve). Chapter 2: Verses 3-5-do nothing out of selfish ambition, all of us should look not to our own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus (John 3:34; 4:34; 13:34). Love as I love! Verses 10-11-at the Name of Jesus every knee shall bow in heaven and on earth and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Psalm 136:3). Chapter 3: Verse 9-it is not righteousness of ones own that is in the law but the righteousness through faith in Christ and that comes from God. Verse 15-if you think differently, that too, God will make clear to you. Verses 20-21-but our citizenship is in heaven and we look for Him who is coming, Jesus Christ the Lord, then we will be like Him. Chapter 4: Verse 1-my brothers, you are my dear friends in Christ! Verse 3-and help these women who have been at my side. Verses 4-5-my dear family, rejoice in the Lord always, let your gentleness be evident to all, the Lord is always near. Verses 19-20-the Lord God will meet all your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus. To our God and our Father be all glory forever and ever (Romans 8:28). Chapter 1: Verses 13-14-for God has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of His Son who He loved in whom we have redemption, that is forgiveness of sins (II Corinthians 5:17-21). Verses 15-20-Christ is the image of the invisible God, for by Him (Christ) all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, both visible and invisible. He (Jesus) is before all things and in Him all things hold together, and He is the head of the body (that is you and me). God did this to reconcile to Himself all things in heaven and on earth. Verse 22-God reconciled you by Christ’s physical body, through death, so that we may be presented holy to God. Verse 27-this is the mystery, Christ in us the hope of glory! Chapter 2: Verse 2-be encouraged and united in love so that all may know the mystery of Christ. Verses 6-8-so, then, just as you receive Christ Jesus as your Lord, always continue to live in Him. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy which depends on human tradition in this world rather than on Jesus, the Lord of life. Verse 9-in Christ all the deity of God lives! Chapter 3: Verses 1-4-since you have been raised with Christ set your hearts on things above where Christ is. Don’t set your mind on things on earth for you are in Christ life, when He comes you will be with Him. Verses 12-13-as God’s chosen people be like Jesus, be holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and be patient, bear with each other and learn to forgive as Christ forgave you. Verse 24-it is the Lord Christ you are serving! Chapter 4: Verses 5-6-be wise in the way you act toward sinners and make the most of every opportunity, let your conversation be always full of grace. God will show you how to answer everyone. Verse 11-a man called Justus, he is also called Jesus, sends greetings to the church, also a few Jews are with Paul and they have proved a comfort to him. Verse 14-Paul said, “our dear friend Luke.” (The doctor, the one who wrote the books of Luke and Acts. Luke wrote of Paul’s conversion in Acts when he was called Saul) Verse18-someone always helps Paul write the letters, but here he said he is writing this greeting in his own hand, in chains. It is written about 60 A.D. I THESSALONIANS Chapter 1: Verses 8-10-to the church of Thessalonica, the Lord’s message rang out from not only Macedonia and Achaia, your faith in God has become known everywhere. For all of them report what kind of reception you gave us, they tell us how you turned to God from idols to serve the true God and His Son Jesus from heaven and that He was raised from the dead, He rescued us from the coming wrath. Chapter 2: Verses 13-15-Paul said to the church, “we thank God that when you received the Word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it, not as the word of men, but as it is, the Word of God, and it is at work in you who believe and you suffered from your own people the same things those churches suffered from the Jews who killed our Lord Jesus, and they killed their prophets also. Verse 20-indeed you are our glory and joy! Chapter 3: Verses 4-6-Paul said to them, “we told you we would be persecuted for Jesus and it turns out that way, as you well know, I was afraid that in some way the devil might tempt you and our efforts might have been weakened, but Timothy brought us the good news about your faith and love.” Verse 13-may the Lord strengthen your hearts so you will be blameless for the day of His coming. Chapter 4: Verses 7-8-God did not call us to be impure but to live a holy life, therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man, they reject God and the Holy Spirit. Verses 16-18-for you must know that the Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a loud command and the dead in Christ will rise first then after that, we who are still alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet Jesus (Acts 1:7-11). Chapter 5: Verses 1-3-now, about the time of all this, we cannot write to you, it will happen at God’s time, it will come like a thief in the night and people will be saying, “peace and safety,” destruction will come, like labor pains and no one will escape. Verses 8-11-but since we belong to the day (the light of day is Jesus), therefore encourage one another and build each one up. Verse 13b-live in peace with each other (Hebrews 12:14). Verses 14-15-I urge you Christians, warn those who are idle and encourage the timid, also help the weak, be patient with everyone. Verses 16-22-be joyful always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Avoid every kind of evil. Chapter 1: Verses 7-8-God will give relief to all who are troubled, and He, God, will punish those who do not know Him and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. Verse 12-you are prayed for so that the Name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of God. Chapter 2: Verses 3-4-do not let anyone deceive you in any way, for His coming will come when the man of lawlessness is revealed. At that time, he, the devil, will exalt himself over everything that is called God’s. He will set himself up in God’s temple saying, “I am God.” This is the work of Satan. Verse 10-people perish because they refused to love the truth so they can be saved. Verse 16-may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God our Father, who loves us and He gave us eternal encouragement and hope. Chapter 3: Verses 13-15-as for all of us, never tire of doing what is right, and encourage the weak and warn him as a brother. Verse 16-(I say with Paul and Timothy) may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way (Isaiah 9:6; Matthew 5:9; John 14:27; Romans 5:1; Galatians 5:22; Hebrews 12:14; I Peter 3:11). (The books of Timothy 1 and 2 and Titus are pastoral letters. They are for duties of pastors) Chapter 1: Verse 2-Paul to Timothy, calls him son in the faith. Timothy had a Greek father and a Jewish mother. Verse 5-the goal of faith-the command is love-this comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. Verses 9-11-the law is not for the righteous but it is for lawbreakers and sinful men. Verses 13-14-Paul said, “even I was once a blasphemer, but I was shown mercy because of God’s love.” Verses 15-16-”you see Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I was one of the worst.” Verse 19-”there are 2 men who ship wrecked their faith whom I have taught not to blaspheme.” Chapter 2: Verses 1-5-Paul said to Timothy, “prayers and thanksgiving should be given at all times. God wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of His truth, for there is one mediator between us and God, that is Jesus Christ the Lord.” (John 3:16) Chapter 3: Verse 6-to take care of God’s church a man must not be a recent convert, for he may fall without learning. Verse 9-they must keep hold of the deep truths of God’s faith in them. Verse 15-all this is that you and I will know how we ought to conduct ourselves in God’s household that is the church. Chapter 4: Verses 7-8-train yourself to be godly for godliness has value for all things. This holds a promise for both the present life and the life to come (Romans 8:28). Verse 13-devote yourself to reading Scripture. Chapter 5: Verse 8-if anyone does not provide for his family he has denied the faith of God (this is what I am doing in this book). Verse 25-good deeds cannot be hidden (let them be glorifying God-Matthew 5:16)! Chapter 6: Verse 6-godliness with contentment is great gain. Verse 10-the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil (Luke 12:15). Verse 11-men of God flee from all this and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness. Verses 17-19-we should command those who are rich in this world not to be arrogant, nor to put their hope in wealth, for this is so uncertain, but they should put their hope in God, for it is He who richly provides us with all we need and always willing to share it. In this way they to will lay up treasures for themselves and then they will take hold of God’s life and that is truly life (John 14:6-7-God and Jesus are one). Chapter 1: Verses 6-8-fan into flame the gift of God which is in you, for God gave us a Spirit of power and love and of self discipline, so do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord and don’t be afraid to suffer for His gospel (Romans 1:16). Verse 9-the grace of Christ Jesus was given to us before the beginning of time. Verse 12-Paul said, “I am not ashamed of Christ gospel because I know who I believe in and I am convinced that He is able to guard all I do.” Chapter 2: Verse 1-so we should be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus! Verse 6-the Lord will give you insight in all things. Verse 15-do not be ashamed and learn to handle the Word of Truth (the Bible). Verse 19-for the Lord knows those who are His and everyone who confesses the Name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness (John 4:24). Verse 22-flee the evil desires of the flesh and pursue God’s righteousness, and do it with a pure heart. Do not quarrel, instead be kind to everyone (Matthew 5:7; Luke 12:34). Verses 25-26-God will grant you repentance and lead you to a knowledge of truth so you can escape from the trap of the devil (Proverbs 1:4-5). Chapter 3: Verse 1-5-in the last days people will be lovers of themselves, loving money, lovers of pleasure, rather than lovers of God. They will have a form of godliness but deny God’s power (Matthew 7:12; 21-23). Verse 10-you know about my teaching and my way of life, my faith in Jesus (I Corinthians 3:9). Verse 12-everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will have temptation (I Corinthians 10:13). Verses 16-17-all Scripture (Bible) is God breathed and is useful for teaching and good work. Chapter 4: Verses 2-3-do this, preach the word, be prepared at all times with patience and careful instruction, for time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Verse 8-now there is in store for me the crown of God’s righteousness which the Lord will award me on that day, and not only me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing. Verses 17-18-Paul said, “the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom. To God be the glory forever and ever, amen. Chapter 1: Verse 2-we have a faith and knowledge in resting on the hope of eternal life, and God cannot lie, it is in Jesus Christ the Lord, this promise came before the beginning of time. Verse 15-to the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe there is nothing pure. They claim to know God but by their actions they deny Him (Matthew 7:21-24). Chapter 2: Verses 9-10-teach all God’s people not to steal, but that they can be trusted, this way show that all can be trusted. So in every way they will make the teaching about God in Jesus attractive. Verses 11-15-the grace of God in Jesus will appear to all men. Do not let anyone deceive you. Chapter 3: Verses 4-8-God saved us because of His mercy. He did it by the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ our Savior. This is the rebirth that has made us heirs having hope of eternal life. These things are for all who will receive them. Verse 14-all God’s people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good and not live unproductive lives (Job 28:28). Chapter 1: Verses 2-3-Paul said to Philemon and to Apphia our sister, and to the church meeting in Archippus home, “grace and peace to you from Jesus the Christ and Lord for us all.” Verse 6-I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ. Verses 16-18-Paul is sending Onesimus, a slave of Philemon’s, back as a brother in Christ. Welcome him as you would welcome me and he said, “if he has done any wrong and if owes you anything, charge it to me.” Verse 19-”I, Paul, am writing this letter to you in my own hand.” Introduction-Philemon was a leader of the church at Colosse and a friend of Paul’s. Philemon’s slave, Onesimus, had stolen money from him and he ran away to Rome and there he met Paul and became a Christian. Paul begs Philemon to forgive Onesimus (Matthew 6:12). Chapter 1: Verses 1-5-in the time before Jesus, God spoke to the Jewish people through prophets. He did it many times and in many ways, but in these days He is speaking to all men by Jesus. The Son, Jesus, is the radiance of God Himself, and doing it by His powerful Word for our sin. To which angel did God ever say, “you are My Son, today I have become Your Father?” (II Samuel 7:12-15; I Chronicles 17:11-14; Psalm 2:7; John 1:1-5) Chapter 2: Verse 3-how shall man escape hell if he ignores such a great salvation? Verses 8-9-we, at this time, have not seen all things subject to God, but we see Jesus with glory and honor who died for us (Psalm 8:1-9; John 3:16). Verses 11-12-both Jesus, who makes men holy, and we who are made holy are of the same family. This is so He (Jesus) is not ashamed to call us His brother (Psalm 22:22). Verses 14-18-we are God’s children, God in Jesus, shared in the humanity to destroy him who holds the power of death, that is the devil. He (Jesus) is my High Priest in service to God. He, Himself, suffered when He was tempted so He can help us who are being tempted (Romans 6:1-6). Chapter 3: Verses 4-6-everything that is built by man is his honor but God is the builder of everything and we are His house if we honor Him. Verse 13-so encourage one another daily so that none of you be deceitful. Chapter 4: Verses 1-3-the promise of God’s rest is still here, do not be found to have fallen short of it (Psalm 95:11). Verses 12-13-the Word (Bible) of God is living and active, sharper than a sword, it penetrates the soul of man and it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Verse 14-therefore, since Jesus is the great High Priest, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. Chapter 5: Verses 1-4-every high priest is selected from man and represents all men before God. He is able to deal gently, the man who listens will learn, he is to work and he must be called by God. Verse 5-Jesus is our High Priest, called by God (Psalm 2:7-8). Verses 9-10-He is made perfect by God and He became the source of eternal salvation for all who believe. Verse 14-the solid food is for the mature ones who have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil (Proverbs 2:10-12). Chapter 6: Verse 1-so let us leave the elementary teaching of Jesus Christ and go on to maturity. Verse 9-even though I speak like this we are confident of better things (so study God’s Word-the Bible-II Timothy 2:13-16-His Word is truth). Chapter 7: Verse 24-now, because Jesus lives forever He is my permanent priest, therefore He is able to save completely those who come to God through Jesus and will intercede for us (Hebrews 11:6). Verse 28b-the Son (Jesus) who has been made perfect forever (Revelation 22:16-17)! Chapter 8: Verses 10-12-God says, “I will put My laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God and they will be My people. I will forgive their wickedness and remember their sins no more.” (Isaiah 1:18) Chapter 9: Verses 1-10-the gifts and sacrifices being offered before were not enough. Verse 12-Jesus blood is for all, and it is by His own blood, this is the eternal redemption for all who believes. Verse 15-for this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance now that He (Jesus) has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed. Verse 22-without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness (Verse 27). Chapter 10: Verse 1-the law is only a shadow of things to come not the reality themselves. Verse 7-I desire to do your will, O God, within my heart (Psalm 40:8). Verses 9-10-God sets aside the law to establish the faith in Jesus Christ, once for all. Verses 14-17-by one sacrifice in Jesus God had made perfect forever those who are being made holy, it is their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more. Verse 24-25-let us consider how to encourage one another in love and good deeds, don’t stop meeting together, let us encourage one another (Hebrews 12-14). Verse 31-it is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (Revelation 22:7). Verse 36-you need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God you will receive what He (God) has promised (Ephesians 1:3-5). Chapter 11: Verse 1-faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Verse 6-and without this faith it is impossible to please God. You must believe that He exists and that He (God) will reward those who earnestly seek Him. Verse 27-by faith Moses left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger. He persevered because he saw Him who is invisible (John 4:23-24). Verse 40-all this because God had planned something better (Jesus). Chapter 12: Verses 2-3-so let us fix our eyes on Jesus, for He is the author and perfecter of our faith, so consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you and I will not grow weary and lose heart. Verses 5-6-my brothers, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline and do not lose heart when He rebukes you because the Lord disciplines all them He loves, if we are His sons. Verse 10b-God disciplines us for our good that we may share in His holiness (Leviticus 11:44; Romans 12:1). Verse 14-make every effort to live in peace and do it with all people and do it in holiness. Without holiness no one will see the Lord. Verse 28-Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful and worship God with reverence. Chapter 13: Verses 7-8-remember your leaders who spoke the Word of God to you. Jesus Christ is the same always, yes, forever! Verse 9-do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. Always be strengthened by grace, God’s grace. Verse 15-through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise, the fruit of the lips, that confess His Name and share it with others and God will be pleased (Romans 12:1-3). Chapter 1: Verses 12-14-blessed is the man who preserves under trial because when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him. When a man is tempted you should not say, “God is tempting me,” for God cannot be tempted by evil (I Corinthians 10:13). Verses 18-God chose to give us birth through the Word of Truth so that we might be a kind of first fruits of all He created. Verses 19-20-all of us should be quick to listen to people and slow to speak what you want, and be slow to becoming angry, mans anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. Verse 22-do not merely listen to the Word of God, do it, so you don’t deceive yourselves, do what it says (John 1:14; 13:34-35). Verse 27b-God accepts pure faith for us to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. Chapter 2: Verse 5-God has chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith, and they inherit the kingdom promised to those who love Him. Verse 13b-mercy triumphs over judgment! Verse 19-you believe that there is one God, good, even the demons of hell believe that and they shudder in fear. Chapter 3: Verses 1-12-teachers will be judged more strictly! We all stumble in many ways. Look we can turn an animal to make him obey or a ship we can steer by a very small rudder, but the tongue is a small part of the body and it can corrupt the whole person. No man can tame the tongue. We praise God and curse men with it. Can fresh water and salt water be in one spring, can a tree bear overt kinds of fruits? (Be one with the Lord-John 17:22-24) Verse 18-peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness (Matthew 5:9). Chapter 4: Verse 10-humble yourselves before the Lord and He will lift you up. Verse 12-there is only one lawgiver and one judge, He is the one who is able to save and destroy. So you and I ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will we will do this or that.” Chapter 5: Verses 7-9-be patient until the Lord comes, don’t grumble against each other. Verses 12-13-above all things let your yes be yes and your no be no. If you are troubled you should pray. Verses 15-16-and the prayer offered in faith will make all things work for the good of all who love the Lord. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective (Romans 8:28). Chapter 1: Verses 3-5-we have mercy and great hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and an inheritance that can never perish. We are kept in heaven and having faith in Him we are shielded by God until the coming of the Lord’s salvation. Verse 12-even angels long to look into these things. Verse 15-just as Jesus who called you is holy so be holy in all you do (Leviticus 11:44; Proverbs 3:6). Verse 25-the Word of the Lord stands forever, and this is the Word that Jesus is preaching to you and I (John 1:1-5). Chapter 2: Verses 5-6-we, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood to God through Jesus (Isaiah 28:16). Verse 23-when people hurled their insults at Jesus He did not retaliate, instead He entrusted Himself to God, and it was Jesus Himself who bore our sins in His body, by this you and I have been healed of sin. Chapter 3: Verse 9-do not repay evil with more evil, give blessing to all because to this you are called. Verse 15-in your heart let Jesus Christ be your Lord and always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who ask you to give the reason for the hope that you have. Do this with gentleness (Ephesians 2:8-9). Verse 21-the water symbolizes baptism, not the removal of dirt from the body, but comes for a good conscience toward God. Chapter 4: Verses 4-6-people think it strange that you do not go with them into the same sins, but they will have to give an account to Him (God) who is ready to judge the living and the dead, for this is the reason the gospel was preached, even to the saints in the Old Testament, they lived according to God in the Spirit.. Verses 10-11-we to must serve others! If anyone speaks, speak the words of God so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ, and to Him be all glory. Verse 16-if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed (Romans 1:16-17), praise God that you bear the Name of Jesus. Chapter 5: Verses 2-4-Christians, be shepherds of God’s flock, because you are willing as God wants you to be, and being examples to the flock, and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you and I will receive the crown of glory and that will never fade away (Psalms 23:6). Verses 6-7-humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your cares on Him because God cares for us. Verse 9-you and I have brothers throughout the world going through the same suffering we have. Chapter 1: Verses 1-2-we have received a faith that is precious! It came through the knowledge of God and Jesus who is our Lord. Verses 5-8-make every effort to add to your faith goodness, knowledge, self-control, and have perseverance with godliness, kindness to your brother. Do it all with love, these qualities will keep you from sin. Verses 17-18-the one we trust (Jesus) received God’s honor when the voice came to Him from heaven and said, “this is My Son, whom I love, with Him I am well pleased,” Peter said, “we heard this voice when we were with Him on the mountain (Matthew 17:5-6). Chapter 2: Verses 1-4-false prophets are coming! They will say destructive heresies and deny the sovereign Lord, many people will follow their ways. They will exploit you with stories they made up. Now if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them into hell! Verse 10-all this is true of all of us who follow the corrupt desires of our sinful nature. We should not despise His (God’s) authority. Verse 19-these sinful people promise freedom while they themselves are slaves of sin, for a man is a slave to whatever master’s him (Romans 6:16-18). Chapter 3: Verses 2-3-dear believers, I want to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets in the Old Testament and also the command given by our Lord and Savior through your apostles. First of all you must understand that in these last days scoffers will come following their own desires. Verses 8-9-but do not forget this one thing, with the Lord a day is like a 1,000 years. The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, He is not wanting that anyone perish, but He wants everyone to come to Him in repentance. Verse 11-since everything will be destroyed in the world, what kind of people ought we be? Answer: live holy and godly lives, that day is coming, it will bring destruction of heavens, but in keeping with His promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth. This will be for the righteous, so then dear friends, since you and I are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless from sin and be at peace with God. Verse 16-Peter said, “Paul wrote the same things!” Chapter 1: Verses 2-4-Jesus is the light and life of man, He appeared, I John has seen Him and testify and proclaim that He (Jesus) was with the Father and has appeared to us and our fellowship is with the Father and the Son. Verses 9-10-so if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us and give us His righteousness, don’t say you have not sinned because God cannot lie (Romans 3:23; 6:23). Chapter 2: Verse 1-if we sin as God’s children we have Jesus who speaks to God for us (Romans 6:1-4; 6:16-17). Verse 12-John said, “I write to you, God’s children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of Jesus.” Verse 17-the sin of the world and its desires will pass away with the world, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. Verse 19-some people left the way of God but they did not really belong to God at all, if they had belonged to us they would have remained with us. Verse 23-if we don’t deny the Son (Jesus) we have the Father who does not deny us (Matthew 17:5). Verse 25-and this is what God promised us in the Bible Matthew 24:35; John 1:1-5; 3:16; Ephesians 2:10). This is God’s way (Matthew 7:12)! Chapter 3: Verse 2-we are children and what we will be has not yet been made known, but we know that when He (Jesus) appears we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. Verse 7-dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray, for he who does what is right is in God’s righteousness. Verses 8-9-but he who does what is sinful is of the devil and the devil has been sinning from the beginning of time. That is the reason the Son (Jesus) came to destroy the work of the devil. Verse 12-do not be like Cain who belonged to that evil one. He murdered his brother! Why? Because his own actions were evil but his brothers were in God’s eyes righteous. Chapter 4: Verses 2-3-this is how we can recognize the spirit of every spirit of men that acknowledges that Jesus Christ is from God and every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus, his is not of God. Chapter 5: Verses 11-12-God’s testimony is He gives us eternal life and this life is in Jesus, so he who has the Son of God has life, he who does not have the Son does not have life. Verses 19-21-the evil one controls the world, but we are in Jesus, we are not in the world (John 17:15-21). Chapter 1: Verse 1-this letter is one John wrote to a Christian lady and her children. Not only to them but also to all who know the truth. This truth will be with us forever. Verses 5-6-to the lady he said, “I ask that we love one another and walk in obedience to God’s command, this command is that you and I walk in love.” Verse 7-there are many deceivers, they do not acknowledge Jesus is the Christ. Verse 8-and you and I must watch out that we do not lose what you have in His Spirit (I John 4:2). Verse 9-anyone who does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God, but whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son, so bring this teaching to all (Matthew 28:18-20). (The lady and her children might be a Christian woman and her family or the church and all its members) Verse 13-the children of your chosen sister send their greetings. Chapter 1: Verses 1-3-John said to his dear friend Gaius, “it gives me great joy to hear of your faithfulness to the truth (Jesus). (John 14:6) Verse 4-I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in God’s truth (that goes for me to, Grandpa Reeve). Verse 11-dear friends, do not imitate what is evil but imitate what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God and if you cannot you don’t know God. Anyone who does good is from God. Chapter 1: Verse 1-Jude is the brother of James, and James and Jude are brothers of Jesus (Matthew 13:54-56). Verses 17-21-remember what Jesus’ apostles said, “in the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their ungodly desires, these are men who will divide you. They do not have God’s Spirit. But you dear children of God, build yourselves up in your faith in the holy one, Jesus, God’s Son, and keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for His mercy to bring you to eternal life.” Verses 24-25-the doxology! Chapter 1: Verses 1-2-God gave Jesus the revelation and Jesus sent His angel to John to say the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. Verse 5-God said, “Jesus is a faithful witness and He is the first born from the dead and He is also ruler of all the kings on earth.” (Matthew 17:5; 28:18) Verse 7-one day Jesus is coming in the clouds and every eye will see Him. Chapter 2: Verse 7-he who can hear what God says in the Spirit to the churches, if you overcome the Spirit will give you the right to eat from the tree of life (Genesis 3:22-24). Verse 11-so he who overcomes (doing it by Jesus) will not be hurt by the second death (that is hell)! Verse 23-all the churches people will know that I am He who searches hearts and minds and I will repay each of you according to what I see in your deeds. Ps. 139. Chapter 3: Verse 5-and all who overcomes will be like God’s people, dressed in white. I will never blot their name out of His (God’s) book of life, but I will acknowledge His name before My Father and all His angels. Verses 19-20-God said, “those who I love I rebuke and discipline, so repent, God is standing at your hearts door, open the door to Jesus. Chapter 4: Verses 2-3-John immediately was shown things that must be in the hereafter, he was in the Spirit in heaven. Verse 8-in heaven he heard, “holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, He which was and is and is to come.” (Isaiah 6:3) Verse 11-”thou, O Lord, art worthy to receive glory and honor and power, for it is you who created all things and for thy pleasure they are all created.” Chapter 5: Verse 9-(Jesus) You art worthy to take the book (of life) and to open the seals, for thou was slain and by that You redeemed us (who believed) to God by Your blood, out of every nation on earth. Chapter 6: Verses 15-16-all people hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks and said, “Rocks fall on us and hide us from the face of Jesus for He is the Lamb that was slain.” Chapter 7: Verses 4-8-the 144,000 are Israelites, 12,000 from the tribes of Judah, Reuben, Gad, Asher, Naphtali, Manasseh, Simeon, Levi, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph and Benjamin (Genesis 49:1-28). Who is missing? You and me in the rapture (Romans 12:1-2)! Chapter 8: Verse 13-before all this to be 4 angels went out to hurt the sky and the earth and then I John heard an eagle that was flying call out in a loud voice, “woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth. Listen to the last 3 angels. Chapter 9: Verses 1-6-when men in this day, they will seek death but will not find it. Verses 20-21-the ones that were not killed by these plagues, they still did not repent of the work of their hands, they did not stop worshiping demons and idols of gold and silver and all material things, nor did they repent of their murders and their magic or their sexual immorality or their thefts (Romans 1:16-17). Chapter 10: Verse 4-John was about to write but he heard a voice from heaven say, “seal up what you have heard and do not write it down.” Verse 11-then John was told, “you must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages and kings.” Chapter 11: Verses 2-3-the Gentiles will one day trample on the holy city for 3 1/2 years, at that time the Lord said, “I will give power to My two witnesses and they will prophecy for 1,260 days (3 1/2 years) clothed in sackcloth (II Samuel 3:30-31). Verse 6-there are 2 witnesses that have power to shut up the sky from raining during the time they are prophesying, and they also can turn the waters into blood and strike the earth with every kind of plague and do it as often as they want. Verse 7-now when the witnesses finish their testimony the beast (Satan) will kill them. Chapter 12: Verse 6-a pregnant woman fled into the desert to a place prepared for her by God where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days (chapter 11:3). Verses 7-9-there was a war in heaven, Michael and all his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon (Satan) and his fallen angels fought back, and they lost, so they lost their place in heaven (Job 1:6-8). Verses 10-12-then a loud voice in heaven said, “now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come (Matthew 28:18). The accuser of our brothers (Satan) who accuses them before our God day and night, he has been hurled down, we overcame him by the blood of the Lamb (Jesus) and by His testimony; our brothers did not love their lives so much they would even go to their death, so the devil is now cast down to the earth. He is filled with fury because he knows that his time is short.” Chapter 13: Verses 16-18-the beast forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead. He did this so that no one could buy or sell unless they had the mark. Chapter 14: Verses 1-5-the 144,000 mentioned in chapter 7:4-8 had the Name of the Father on their foreheads and they sang a new song before the throne, no one could learn this song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed, and they did not defile themselves.
