Fortunately, Rom 6:23 not only says "For the wages of sin is death..." it also goes on to say "but the gift of GOD is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Everyone has sinned, but not everyone is going to Hell.
What's the difference maker? The gift of GOD(grace). Because of grace, GOD sent his son, Jesus to pay the penalty for our sins, by dying on the cross. If the sinner takes the gift of GOD by faith, repenting of his sin and trusting fully on the shed blood of Christ as the atonement (payment) for their sin, GOD's word says they are saved.
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life (John 6:47)."
Even better news is that the scriptures tell us Christ rose from the grave. In doing so he defeated death, hell and the grave for all those who believe.
