IRELAND’S NEW DAY
Prophecy to Northern Ireland
Brian Gilliland

“The path of the righteous is as the dawning light that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” Proverbs 4:18 (ASV)

The new day has just arrived. In these early moments we are adjusting our eyes to the glare of the early morning sun as it climbs above the horizon. All around is a most noticeable peace and an unusual, almost surreal, atmosphere. This is a time far removed from our normal experience. We know it is significant yet we struggle to comprehend its true meaning. All the hurts, problems, failures and disappointments of the past are now behind us and we must leave them there and press into the awesome new day. This certainly feels like one last opportunity to fulfil our destinies and realise our innermost desires. This is the beginning of a day, a time, like no other and we do well to pause in this brief period of calm to set our hearts and minds for what lies ahead.

It is easy, but wrong, to focus our thoughts on what we have seen around us. To do so results in a bleak, depressing picture. Lawlessness is increasing, political resolution seems as far away as ever and the church appears to have no influence, attraction or sense of purpose. Many have given up and have resigned themselves to more of the same until Christ returns. They see a world that has lost its way and is sliding rapidly towards oblivion.

The mistake people are making is equating revival with political peace and stability. Political unrest and civil disturbance will continue to dominate – and even increase to greater levels – but this new day heralds the start of a glorious time of harvest. God is putting together a remnant people who will cut through tradition and reach souls in the marketplace. For too long preachers have preached to the converted, for too long people have stagnated in the pews and for too long the real needs of people have been neglected. Our eyes must not concentrate on the continual failings of man but rather be sharpened to see what God is about to accomplish. A mighty harvest, beyond our imagination, will not only sweep this country but will have major impact throughout the world.

Who is this remnant body of people? For many years a small number has ploughed a lonely furrow with seemingly negligible results. These folk have suffered frustration, rejection and isolation but somehow remained faithful to their calling. Their task is coming to an end - and they will be richly rewarded - but in this new day God is preparing to bring forth a people He has been preparing. This people do not represent big name ministries but will come from all corners of the country, from widely different backgrounds and having come through the fire will go forth with an anointing and a power that shall sweep the land in a way we cannot begin to imagine. Those in positions of authority shall seek out members of this remnant people for advice and guidance. No city, town or village shall be unaffected by this mighty move of God which shall not be halted, thwarted or sidetracked by the prevailing political and economic situation. Yes, there have been mighty moves of God in the past but they will fade into insignificance compared with what is now being birthed. Those with discernment will already have noticed some of this remnant people slowly coming forth and soon this trickle will become a mighty flood. It is time for Ireland, an often troubled land beloved of many, to be at the forefront and give a lead in this new day. The Bride of Christ must now be prepared for that great and awesome day that looms ever closer.

Use this short time in the stillness of the early morning wisely. Discard the past with its hurts and disappointments, yield totally to His will and strengthen yourself for the battle that will rage during the heat of the day. Do not feel limited by your perceived lack of experience or ability for He shall surely supply your every need. All that is required is your submission, your total reliance on Him. This will necessitate great determination, great focus and a commitment to press on until the job is done. There will be many ups and downs and severe trials along the way for Satan will not yield easily but God will not forsake us but rather will strengthen, protect and grant wisdom.

It is time to get serious for truly the New Day has dawned. You can see the evidence all around you of a lost, hungry generation battling to survive in a world that is cruel, selfish and has little time for spiritual concerns. The dead, empty churches offer no hope and still the people cry out for fulfilment and meaning in their lives. The fields are indeed white unto harvest and today we are called by the almighty God to rescue countless millions from Satan’s evil grasp.

The Bride of Christ is being made ready and all will be in place when the Lord returns. My we grab hold of the opportunity this new day now offers us. We have been prepared for this time, it is our day. The dark clouds that have hovered over Ireland for so long will be blown away to reveal a land of destiny, a land of revival.

Let us rejoice as we welcome the New Day.

THE CROSS ROADS

In vision I was taken back in time to witness a scene, an event that had a profound effect on those present and still has an impact on the world of today.

It was dark – a strange surreal darkness that evoked feelings of unease, fear and an acknowledgement that this was a time like no other. As even the slightest sound pierced the gloom it seemed to be magnified a thousand fold. The low moan of one in agony made stomachs churn and caused tears to well up in the eyes of even the most hardened. Everyone was conscious that this was a turning point in history, a crossroads for mankind, the dividing line between what was and what was to be. Nothing could ever be the same again. Many felt that this was the end, it was all over, and the end of the line had been reached. And yet, there was an expectancy that there was more to see. It was an awesome moment and everyone was transfixed, unable and unwilling to move.

They felt as if captured in some supernatural spell that decreed they must be there to witness the climax of this incredible story.
Those closest to the centre point of the action were nauseated by the putrid smell of death, disturbed by the soft tormented groanings of the dying, horrified at the awful open wounds that spilled blood, disgusted as spittle slowly dribbled down the tortured flesh. “Oh, man’s inhumanity to man!” was the phrase on many lips.

A close look at the people scattered around revealed they were battle worn, disillusioned and completely lost. They vaguely remembered better times and were afraid to look forward to what they felt would be a bleak, lonely struggle devoid of purpose and enjoyment. Somehow the sight of the dying was a graphic representation of their despair, their inadequacy and certain destruction. Yet, somehow, in a manner they could not as yet reason, this death, this murder, held the key to the future of mankind.

I was then taken heavenwards to view the scene from above and was astounded to see that the cross was embedded in the ground on the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland just to the south of the city of Newry. Significantly, the arms of the cross pointed north and south, rather than east and west. From this vantage point everything seemed even darker, more terrible and more depressing that from the ground.
Next I was taken to see things from the other side of the cross. The contrast was immense as I witnessed the light, the peace, the great sense of purpose, the unity of the people and the sheer joy.
“Look at the cross!” I was commanded. It glistened in the warm rays of the sun and its shadow touched every life BUT it was empty!

One rather obvious question remained: “How do people get from one side of the cross to the other?” To arrive at the answer I was prepared for a journey of discovery that I sensed would be arduous and life changing. “There is only one way,” I was assured as we set off. The journey took me literally through the cross – I was able to smell the stench, witness the horrific wounds and feel the desperate pain and agony as God’s only son bore the sins of the world. For a brief second I sensed the desolation, the extreme cost of this sacrifice and was completely overwhelmed that someone as insignificant as I might live and experience a life of purpose, fulfilment and hope with all sins forgiven and forgotten.

Ireland is a country that has known great suffering and pain and is a place where the wounds and scars run deep. It is a religious country often devoid of Christianity, a tiny place but with Kingdom significance, a place at the dawn of its greatest revival that will send shock waves throughout the world. A new generation is on the march, one that has come by way of the Cross and one that will fulfil its destiny by facilitating the revival. The arms of the cross that stretched the length of the island now hold the country in a gesture of love and compassion.

The voices from the distant scene that shouted, “It is finished!” have now been replaced by one that trumpets, “This is Ireland’s New Day!”

Let us rejoice that the prayers of the righteous, in difficult and dark days, have been heard and for those who have eyes to see, are already being answered in incredible and astounding ways.

Revival has arrived!

NORTHERN IRELAND
Brian Gilliland

CONSIDER THE CROCUS

I was taken above the earth to look down on Northern Ireland and all I could see was a dark grey blanket that covered the entire country. It was thick and seemed to be impenetrable. I felt sorry that the light was unable to break through and knew that the lives of those who lived below were being adversely affected.

I was then taken below the blanket to see the people. They all seemed grey and lifeless, going about their dreary routines in a fatalistic, far from happy manner. They seemed to have no spark, no vitality, no hope – everything was dull, dismal and pessimistic.

I was returned back above the blanket and told to look very carefully as I was taken nearer to its surface. Scattered throughout its length and breadth I could see that the odd colourful flower had broken through the surface. These flowers were all of the same variety – each one was a crocus. This flower, I was informed, represents spring, a new beginning, hope, new life, optimism, renewal and a sign of better times ahead. There was no one location where the flowers grew in any great numbers – they were in little groups here and there, often only a single bloom.
I was full of questions:
Why are the flowers so few, and so scattered?
Why is everything so grey?
Why is this blanket in place and can it, and will it, be removed?

As part of the answer I was made aware that much seed had been planted in this country over a long period of time. Many had come from America, England, Australia, Canada, South Africa and other places to minister to the people. They had often found the place to be oppressive and the response was often minimal and sometimes even hostile. Many had given up after just a few visits, but some kept on leaving a deposit they believed would surely yield a harvest.

It was also made clear that groups who had a vision and were on the right lines had become fragmented as some members had broken away to form other groups that in turn also fragmented. Hence we had a few crocuses here and there in little groups that though often very close to each other had little or no contact.

As I was taken on a tour of the country I was amazed at the number of crocus plants I was shown, many, if not most of them, located in the most unlikely places. The majority of the plants were peeping through the soil and still had a little way to go before their brilliant colours could brighten up their dull surroundings. However, I was assured they were healthy robust plants that would certainly reach their potential.

Some people were obviously aware of the blanket and sought out ways to have it lifted off. However, the answer was not to push it higher as this would still not prevent it blocking out the sun. To push or pull it aside would mean others being influenced by it. The answer was to rise above it – to put it underfoot. The crocuses were pointing the way by breaking through it to flourish in the clear air above.

This, I was told, is a great season for the crocus and it will produce an abundant harvest and the country will no longer be dull and grey but will radiate with splendid colour and life. The seeds of the faithful have indeed fallen on good ground and this country will become a great light to the world and many shall go forth to impact other countries and continents so that too they can share in what is currently being birthed here.

A new day, a bright colourful new day, is dawning. Let us step into it with boldness, with confidence and with joy.

“The desert and dry land will become happy. The desert will be glad and will produce flowers. Like a flower, it will have many blooms. It will show its happiness, as if it is shouting with joy. It will be beautiful like the forest of Lebanon. It will be as beautiful as the hill of Carmel and the Plain of Sharon. All people will see the glory of the Lord. They will see the splendour of our God.” (Isaiah 35 v 1,2)

Note: Crocus Botany. The Crocus is a perennial plant, with an underground storage organ in the form of a corm, which has evolved to overcome a dry period during which the plant is dormant. Corms vary considerably in size and shape. Above ground almost all species have leaves with a distinctive white stripe. The jewel like flowers of the crocus are its greatest horticultural asset and they enjoy a long flowering season. Many species have a delicious honey scent. The seeds ripen as the leaves die away. The developing seeds are protected from adverse weather and grazing until ripe for dispersal.

Word/vision-Ireland/Belfast/Dublin.Killarney-Galway
by Kathie Walters

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is not THE word -it's part of The word - "We know in part and we prophesy in part." This is the part that God showed me
Belfast -
When I started to pray for Belfast it seemed as though I was looking down upon some roof-tops in a "downtown" area though not the main part I don't think. There were some office buildings and further back there were some older brick warehouse type buildings. There was one building on a corner that was higher than the other buildings. I saw a black cloud that seemed to roll around the rooftops from one roof to another - a spirit of oppression. There were people in the buildings that seemed to act like a magnet for this cloud. I believe it was negativism that attracted the cloud. Like a religious spirit that made people quick to believe negative things and then speak negative things. God wants to release a spirit of Faith so the joy will be released . Joy is a great evangelizing tool. Get the prophetic intercessors to release the Spirit of Good News which is our inheritance. In Isaiah 44:3 God says 'I will pour water on him that is thirsty and floods upon the dry ground." How do you qualify? - all it says is you have to be thirsty..
Galway -Killarney
I then saw some areas west - Galway down Killarney and I saw spirits of fantasy and superstition - but there was more openness to the supernatural, which is both good and bad depending on if the power of God is being released through God's people.
Dublin
I saw prosperity but then distraction and diversion. Then I saw some people on the street begin to look up toward heaven and some drops of rain were falling on their faces. They smiled because they were being blessed. I especially saw an older man who had been hungry for a long time. I believe he represented the ones how had been around a while in the church - this man seemed to have held back from some things because he wasn't sure about them - but nevertheless he was hungry and he felt the rain - and he was so happy. One of the greatest hindrances to God's move in Ireland is negativism in the church - and a critical spirit which creates hardness. God is good God - He loves Ireland and the Irish people - In the middle of transferring these words from my note-pad to the computer, I had a surprise visitation. I suddenly found myself looking into a room. In the middle of the room, sitting on the floor, was a curly-haired girl who looked about 4 years old. Her hair was red and she was playing with some learning toys. She was quite spirited and lively and something about her made the Lord laugh. He was laughing at the antics of her Irish character. I found myself laughing too! She was by no means grown up and definitely lacking in some graces, but God was seeing her potential and He loved her very much. As I was watching her, this girl, I felt such a love and joy over her. When we see what God sees - the natural, judgmental thoughts seem to be washed away. If we could see each other as God sees - there would be no strife and criticism of one another. The girl represented the "church" of Ireland. I know we like to think of ourselves as being "mature" but I think sometimes we mistake our knowledge for true spiritual life! 3 Kinds of rain - Then I saw a soft rain falling and lots of green - we need the soft rain and it IS a promise. Then Lord told me that the soft rain comes as a result of heartfelt prayers. It is also a preparation. Then I saw sweeping rain - The Holy Spirit gave me a scripture about this kind of rain. Proverbs 28:3 "A poor man who oppresses the poor is like a sweeping rain..which leaves no food.." The sweeping rain is a kind of judgment bought about by the oppression of one man to another. I'm not sure what this means as far as Ireland is concerned but I felt the leaders would know. There obviously needs to be repentance about this . I'm sure there has been some. I'm sorry to be vague, but the Lord just didn't show me anything more about it. Then I saw heavier rain - latter rain. I got another scripture, Zechariah 10:1 "Ask of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain . It says "Ask of the Lord Rain -" Jesus said, (Mark 11: 24.25) "Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (and be confident) - that it is granted you, and you will get it." The only hindrance is qualified in the next verse..unforgiveness. Elijah heard the rain by the Spirit - he heard the sound of the abundance of rain before it rained 1 Kings 18.
With many blessings - Kathie Walters
