BEACON LADIES AUXILIARY-Women's Ministry

October 16 & 17 are the days set aside for the South West
Association District Women's Retreat to be held at the
Radisson Hotel, Lubbock, Texas. Quaker Avenue Missionary Baptist Church is the host church with Terry Hilliard as
their featured speaker.
Nine of our ladies from Beacon plan to attend. Please pray for them as they travel to and from the retreat. Pray also that they may be spiritually refreshed and have a great time
of fellowship with other women from our sister churches.

SPIRITUAL EMERGENCY ROOM-
The thoughts, scriptures, and words of encouragment are
intended for anyone who may have on-going health issuses.
Man is a three part being> Mind, body, and soul.
We need to look to the Master Physician for every need.
Jesus offers Himself to us by saying, "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30
There are no guarantees that anyone will have a trouble free life or perfect health.
The Apostle Paul revealed that he had a "Thorn in the flesh." In II Corinthians 12:9-"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficienct for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest
upon me."
It is perfectly o-kay to pray for God's healing. But please
know that God may allow your sickness for a reason.
The entire book of Job reveals that many different things can occur to the child of God. But in them and through them we need to keep trusting God.
In the forty-two chapters of the book of Job there are many important lessons. But in the end Job was even more blessed.
There are those today who preach a "Health & Wealth" gospel. Or a "Name It & Claim It" gospel. This is another gospel of a different kind.
Such preachers have many followers, but note also that they
wear expensive clothes and have alot of expensive possessions. These are all "benefits" of the gospel which they preach.
Don't be deceived by their lies.
***DO YOU NEED SPIRITUAL CPR?***
Are you a child of God? Have you been born-again? Do you want to go to heaven when you die? Then you need to repent of sin, confess to God and ask Him to come into your heart and save you. The Bible promises, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
***DO YOU HAVE A PULSE?***
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost." Titus 3:5
