We see here that the Lord not only orders his people to be armed but he also expects us to be properly trained in the use of the weapons. He armed his trained servants, That means we also must be always at the ready, to defend our selves, and our family, to be ready to spring into action at a moments notice, as Abram's men were already trained, And finally this passage teaches us that we must not only be armed, and trained in their use, but sometimes, we must also be willing to take the action, Which Abram did not hesitate to do, for one moment. Abram was, in today's vernacular "Ready Willing and Able." to strike back at wickedness.

What I say about gun control.
I fear the government, that fears it's People who own guns.

Alternately it has been proven numerous times in states that pass conceal carry laws that gun crimes, yea all crime goes down.
A Florida convicted armed robber was asked why he choose to rob only tourists, his response was that Florida has a conceal carry law, which means Florida residents have guns but tourists do not. I might get shot if I rob someone who lives here. DUHHH. Then there is the problem of the second amendment. Also there is what is right is just simply right, (that is why the Lord put Luke 22:36 in the Bible it's the right thing to do, the founding fathers agreed) we must allow the people the right to self defense, especially in view of the high crime, and threatened terrorist attacks.

In 1985 I was working for a government subcontracting, research, facility, In a major southeastern city where we did research in the hard sciences. I was shift supervisor, on the night shift for the security department, this job required a federal security clearance. Usually one of us went to the store to get breakfast for himself and the others, sometime during the night, this particular night was my turn to do the shopping. I went up to the convenience store and walked in it was about 02:00 am, there were three people in the store, the female clerk and two young black men. The second I walked in one of the men spotted me. I of course was in uniform with a badge and a real big hog leg on my hip, a coworker used to kid me about needing to carry that thing on training wheels, it was a Colt Trooper MK III with a six inch barrel .357 Magnum. Well one of the two men spoke to the other I do not know what he said, but at that point they walked up the counter paid for some items and left the store without further incident. I made my selections and walked up to the counter to pay for the merchandise, and while I was standing there the store manager told me that she was thankful that I walked in when I did, because she had been in the convenience store business for over twenty years, and she knows when she is about to robbed, and those two guys were acting strange and were definitely about to rob her. So I have personal experience that just the sight of a weapon in the possession of a law abiding citizen can and does prevent crimes.

This law has been enforced since 1976 and has subjected law abiding persons to unreasonable crimes including rapes and murders, especially among our most vulnerable segment of society our senior citizens. Many of those who oppose the second amendment do so because they say the second amendment applies to the states militia, and not the citizenry in general. However this argument is disingenuous, and they know it. First the constitution was written prior to there being any such thing as a state, so that could not possibly have any illusion of credibility. Secondly if the constitution applies to the states then so does the 16th amendment, and from now on I will start sending my federal income tax bill to the governor of Florida. And thirdly the bill of rights starts out with these words "We the people" What part of "We the people" don't you understand?

Another Inconvenient Truth

I heard a preacher say this week end that some folk deny America is Mystery Babylon because they don't want it to be Mystery Babylon. He posited the reason, is because "I don't want to be put on a list". I guess they are more concerned about being popular or they are concerned that this will interfere with there health wealth and prosperity preaching, which indeed it would. They just can not deal with the fact that it is the end times. They can not continue to preach their power of positive thinking theories, as popularized by the Right Revrend Robert Schuller, nor their don't worry be happy everything is going to be alright nonsense, when the whole world is crumbling around them. The recently invented doctrine of preterism is also likewise at risk, the preterists must face their Congregation and say I have been wrong, all these years! Aint gonna hapen folks. Their congregations would run them out of town on the proverbial rail. Nobody but nobody, likes to be proven wrong. Some folk when faced with the overwhelming mountain of evidence, such as we have with the fact that America is Mystery Babylon, and that we are in the end times, stiffen their backs and necks and absolutely refuse to consider any other possibility. I am right and don't you dare confuse me with the facts.
Other reasons they don't want it to be Mystery Babylon is they have house payments, and children that must go to college. The fact that we live in Mystery Babylon and that it is the end times, is their inconvenient truth.
But we must tell the truth no matter how inconvenient it is and here is why.

If we deny the truth of the bible do we not also deny the very one who wrote it? Of course we do.

of his Father, with the holy angels."
Jesus asked this question.

These folk that deny that we are in the end times, and deny America is Mystery Babylon, and also I suppose the rapture deniers, are in a manner of speaking denying their very faith. They are not trusting in the Lord period.
As far as being put on a list, Yes I am sure that those of us who are true born again believers, and take up the fight against the devil and the coming one world government, and the mark of the beast, are on a list, for eventual rounding up, and no telling what else. But also remember this.
Matthew 10:28 Quote: "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."
And also remember God has his own list.
Revelation 20:12 Quote: "And I saw the dead, both small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."
It is them that should be worried about being on a list, God's list, because when you make God's wicked list your goose is cooked for all eternity.
Now I suppose one could consider this a doom and gloom Message, it may well be, for the unsaved. However absolutely not so for the true born again believers, because.
Jesus is coming soon and very soon for us.

I live here in Florida and sometimes I have occasion to go to the beach, as I have a metal detector and sometimes locate lost jewellery and coins with it. And the amount of skin displayed is atrocious, g-string bikini’s showing the entire rear end, and these are usually young women, what on earth are their parents thinking when they allow their children to dress like that? What kind of upbringing did these people have? Remember what happened to King David when he saw Bath Sheba, bathing next door, 2 Samuel 11, he committed a plethora of sins. Let me tell you, young ladies out there, there are some people who just do not want to see your body in that state, You cause a brother to sin. Romans 14:13 let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man (or woman) put a stumbling block, or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way. Romans 14:21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor anything whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.

Ybor City, Tampa's biggest cash cow in history, yes even bigger than the three S. Bowls, Quavaween, and the Gasparilla pirate parade is, as we speak, dying a horrible death. As a limo driver my self, I predicted this a few years ago, as I saw how the city ruined the 1991 S. bowl by the then Mayor Sandi Freedman and her collegues in city government, who canceled everything to do with the S. bowl for fear of a terror attack, as the first Gulf war had just begun, every limo and bus company in the Tampa Bay area lost hundreds of thousands of $US Dol. THANK YOU very much Mayor Sandi your a peach. And also they destroyed Harbor Island just as that place was about to take off, a number of clubs went out of business with that one. I could have made a lot of money taking people to Harbor Island, but I did not, thanks to the city of Tampa. The city spent millions on the Fort Brook parking deck shuttle train to Harbor Island, which eventually had to be torn down, due to lack of use, at millions more expense to the taxpayers of Tampa. They just keep beating more and more out of the golden goose until it dies, instead of nurturing it, and now they're doing the same thing to Ybor city.
The reason for this, is pure and simple greed, the city sees the clubs making money hand over fist, and city government has to figure a way to get a piece of their action, even if it destroys the businesses in so doing, which it usually does.
How you ask? well first the police must roust everybody for the least little thing that they now call a crime, "THE LAW IS THE LAW" and "NO TOLERANCE" policies, the reason they have no tolerance is it brings in million$ in fine$. They're not righteous crime fighters, they are in fact greedy little folk that just want your money, and the more of it they get, the better they like it. They just use the righteous crime fighter routine simply as a ruse to look like a hero, especially to the Christian voter who just loves to be tough on crime and criminals. Then of course there is the parking fees, and the city hires the local towing companies that must pay the city large sums in permits to get the contracts to tow away the evil doer that should happen to park a few minutes beyond the limit. They enforce the parking meters twentyfourseven threesixtyfive, and that to the nines, to make sure that every possible nickel is brought into the city. When I have been over there in the limo or the party bus I have actually seen tow trucks just driving around trying to spot a car they can tow, not unlike a buzzard circling it's dying prey. And now here in the technology age the added factor of being surveilled is probably going to be Ybor's final nail in it's coffin.

This then drives away business, when people get a belly full of the police handing out parking tickets, and Denver boots, and overall harassment of the people, they just quit going. This also has a ripple effect on vendors, limousine and bus companies, taxi services, hotel/motels, and actually the entire entertainment/hospitality/tourism industry in the community.
I saw it happen in the Clearwater Beach community a few years ago, the city actually hired a number of officers to stand on street corners to watch for cars that pass by an excessive number of times, yes you heard me right the first time, if your car was spotted passing an officer more than two times you were pulled over and given a ticket. Talk about a police state, Clearwater Beach had one up on every community in America. Well, it did work, the word got out and then every body quit going to Clearwater Beach until the restaurateurs had to lay the law down to the city, you see the restaurants on Clearwater Beach were going out of business, because of this. The local businesses on Clearwater Beach got together and told the city officials to back off, or they would see to it that the city council would be facing a big campaign to unseat them in the next election, and they would also not need to bother asking them (beach businesses) for campaign contributions. Well the city backed off, I do not know how long it took for the patrons to come back to the restaurants, but I do know it usually takes several years, if ever, (Harbor Island never did come back) as there are a large number of restaurants on the beaches in Pinellas county to patronize such as Madeira Beach, St. Petersburg Beach, Indian Rocks Beach, and on and on, you get the picture.
The business owner's in Ybor City need to take a hint from the Clearwater Beach businesses, and lay the law down to the city of Tampa officials in like manner.
I made bucket$ full of ca$h, as did the companies that I worked for over the years driving people to Ybor City, in the limousines and charter busses. I even made a few dollar$ in my own business, Designated Drivers for Hire, driving people to Ybor in their own car so they don’t get a DUI, that also is now a thing of the past. I had a blast while it lasted, but it looks like the party is really over, but what a shame!___________________________________________________________

How I Met Jesus

It was February 1974 I was a machinist in a job shop in Birmingham Alabama. I was sick with a cold so I took a couple days off. I went down to the local pharmacist to get some over the counter cold remedies, while there I saw a book that piqued my interest, called the late “Great planet Earth” by Hal Lindsey, I bought it and a new testament for some reading material while sick in bed. Well that book changed my life, Quite drastically too as I had been a chief captain of Satan for some time, I was a party boy and saloon patron extraordinaire. And some of the saloons I had been in were not for law abiding citizens. One such saloon located on the Jefferson county walker county line in a village called Quinton, pronounced by the locals Quintown. This joint was notorious for fights and shootings, and all that accompanies such places. Well one particular Saturday night while out with my girlfriend a friend of hers and her date for the night walked up to our car to ask for a ride down the road, the girl had been steadily dating my friend at the time and she was not with him at this time, so I refused to give them a ride, being I supposed loyal to my friend of course I knew what might happen the Guy would want to do harm to me for refusing this request. Well of course a few days later the girl told us that her date that night wanted to teach me a lesson, I told her that it was a good thing that he did not because my .38 was sitting on my lap I would have gunned him down where he stood. I believe the Holy Spirit was there that night and made sure things did not result in that happening. So I read Hal’s book and towards the end Hal asks readers to pray the sinners prayer and get saved which I did. I also was reading my new Testament and praying for God every night to send me someone to invite me to church. As it would happen about two weeks later I decided to walk to the mailbox to mail some letters.
About halfway there someone in an old Ford car stopped me to talk to me about Jesus, his Name was Charley, later he would tell me that the Lord had told him to stop and talk to me about Jesus, Charley said but Lord he’s so big he might hurt me. I was 6’11/2” about 210 pounds and wearing a denim jacket with sleeves cut off at the shoulders and no shirt underneath, So I suppose I was somewhat intimidating. Never the less Charley stopped and we had a nice conversation about forty minutes. He did indeed invite me to his church, (the first of many answered prayers) and drove to my house to pick me up the following Sunday morning. In 1975 I went to liberty University to get some good Bible teaching, I had no intention of going into ministry, But I did want to learn more of Jesus. I am currently serving the Lord through this website and my local church.

I heard Dr. Hank Hannagraf say the pre tribbers make a mistake because they go around with a Bible in one hand and a news paper in the other hand, or words to that effect. But Dr. Hannagraf, is in my humble opinion the one who err's, As he is known to be a preterist. I have dealt with preterism previously
Why you ask? I am glad you asked. Because our lord himself ordered us to watch. Watch for what? His second coming of course. This is so important to the Lord that he actually offers rewards to those that watch for him.
2 Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day, and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
The Lord would not have bothered to tell us to watch, IF THERE WOULD BE NOTHING TO LOOK FOR.
There are no less than ten New Testament verses that relate directly to watching for the second coming, and the end of the age.
1 Matthew 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
2 Matthew 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
3 Mark 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
4 Mark 13:34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch
5 Mark 13:35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
6 Mark 13:37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
There is also a blessing for those that watch for his coming.
7 Luke 12:38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
8 Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
9 1 Peter 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
Christ actually repudiates those who refuse to watch for his second coming, and the end of the age. ie the preterists.
10 Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
The Lord gives four more general commands to watch.
1 Corinthians 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
Colossians 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
1 Thessalonians 5:6 therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
1 Timothy 4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
Again I say the Lord would not have bothered to tell us to watch, if there were nothing to watch for. When the Lord says something this many times I think the Christian should pay attention. Now do not confuse watching with date setting, some would accuse watchers of date setting
in an attempt to discredit those that watch, nothing could be further from the truth. Watchers are merely obeying the Book.

Big Time TV Preachers Strangely Silent

Why are almost all of the big haired televangelists like Paula White, Joyce Meyers, Joel Osteen, and all the rest of them not talking about the strange phenomenon going on in America today? Many if not most of them claim to have a word of knowledge from the Lord about the many ailments of their viewers. So they cannot possibly be ignorant of these various issues, as they are plastered all over the various media. What strange phenomenon am I talking about? I am glad you asked.
1 All the forest fires recently in South Georgia/North Florida, and currently in California. And many other places in 2007.

Because of these and many other reasons I call into question the credibility of these people.
I think I have enough here to get my point across. The televangelists put themselves out as men and women of God but do not address these very serious issues that the average Christian faces in 2007.
I posit a few possible reasons for their silence on these matters.
1 They do not ever discuss things of a negative nature. I myself have even been told that I am too negative. This comes from the “Think and grow Rich” crowd of Napoleon Hill, as popularized by the Hit TV (allegedly Christian) program of Robert H. Schuller, The Hour of Power.
My thoughts to the positive thinking crowd, the positive must be tempered with the negative to achieve balance.
2 The media demonizes Christians that talk about the apocalypse and the end of the world, and the book of Revelation. We are called doomsayers, and doom and gloomers, and made to look like fools, mere steps away from institutionalization. Maybe these TV preachers want to distance themselves from that portion of Scripture, so that they are not put into this classification.
3 The Rolex wearing televangelists are afraid that this message will not go over well with their congregation and this will cause donations to fall off. After all their main message is that if you give me (the televangelist) $100 first, God will then give you back $100,000.00.
4 Or the only thing that they know how to preach is the health, wealth, and prosperity, Gospel. They just don’t know how to address these tough issues.
Nevertheless the scripture deals with this issue thusly.
Isaiah 30:10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:...
Jeremiah 5:31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?
Translation into modern English.
Lies = smooth things, but the truth is rough.
Will these "Don't Worry be Happy" preachers still be preaching this nonsense as their television studios go up in smoke, in these end times? I guess we will have to wait and see.
Now you must ask yourself do I want the smooth things of the health, wealth, and prosperity Gospel preachers on the TV, or do I want the truth?
The Error of Seed Faith Giving

I began to notice something was happening to the Body of Christ that was having devasting consequences and causing incredible selfishness and its source was the very popular teaching of sowing seed or seed-faith.
Selfishness: caring only or chiefly for self; regarding one's own interest chiefly or solely, proceeding from love of self, influenced in actions soley by a view to private advantage. [Webster]
Sow a seed and meet "your" need violates the commandment Jesus left with us in Matthew 22:37-40, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment and the second is like unto it. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

It's very simple, matter of fact I will give a quote from one that called in to a local talk radio program I listen to, quote "they show us what we can get some day"

The question is, is it the end of the world?

This question is asked by many in recent days. What puzzles me most is that it is usually not asked by Christians, but by non-believers, people that don't know the Bible nor even know anything about eschatology. However apparently they do have enough knowledge of the matter that they can read the tea leaves, or in other words have at least a rudimentary knowledge of end time matters, to ask the question.
I will answer this question here. First we must determine what The Lord say's about the matter.
Mat 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer [is] nigh: Mat 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near,
[even] at the doors.
The parable of the fig tree is by almost all Bible scholars referring to Israel as when the count down clock begins, Israel regained it's land and became a nation again
in march of 1948 by United Nations decree. Now the Lord further states Matthew 24:34
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
So this tells me that some folk born in 1948 will still be around when the great tribulation comes and also some of these folk will still be here at the end of it all
at Christ's second advent at Armageddon. Now we also know that the lord promises mankind to live about 70 to 80 years.
Psalm 90:10 The days of our years [are] threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength [they be] fourscore years,
So now if we add 70 years to 1948 we come up with the year 2018, and if by reason of
strength we get to the year 2028. So these dates are well within the reach of many folk
born in 1948 living, to make to these dates. Please make note that I am definitely not setting dates of any kind here for the second coming, because of the conversion of
the Jewish calendar to Gregorian, and an alleged mistake of 240 years in the Jewish calendar and other factors this in my opinion is most likely impossible anyway, although many have tried and so far to my knowledge all have failed.
My purpose here is to simply to show that the time is so very close that it is time to start living for the Lord NOW. Backsliders are called to return to their first
love. Jeremiah 3:14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you:. Sinners on the verge of believing on Jesus are called to go ahead and committ to Christ, for you may not get another chance. You do not want to go into eternity "Almost Persuaded" trust me on this one.
So cut to the chase the end times are most assuredly upon us now, matter of fact I believe we are on borrowed time now, we are now 61 years out from the recreation of the nation of Israel.
