Can God Touch Me?
|
His spirit helping me to grow. Thoughts fizzing in my mind, I can feel the pops exploding. Can God do this?
I believe So.
Whilst also questioning, doubting my sanity, is my label of being mentally ill correct?
God reassures me that His truth will see me through. Biblically I know God has talked to others in the past, today this is seen as odd. The Bible is seen as the only way to discover God and for him to speak to us.
Is the bible a guide book, a reference book on the history of god teaching us about him, but does he reach out to us today in different ways too.
I believe that God speaks to us in many different ways if we care to listen.
Literature, music, nature, the arts.
God is the creator and I believe he shows his children his love in many different ways, and he loves us to worship him in various ways too.
As a child making a simple thumb pot out of clay to present to a parent feels as though you have made the greatest of all gifts.
As a parent receiving that gift, is one of the greatest gifts to be held dear perhaps for many years.
I believe God cherishes the simplicity of our worship and love, and he encourages us to see the same in him. In regarding his presence in an autumn sunset whilst acknowledging him within a destructive hurricane.
God loves us unconditionally, seeing beyond our limitations, he knows why we rage, gossip and treat others unkindly.
We do not understand why he does. I believe we need to accept he does, an act of god is just that. I believe we take too much emphasis off god by saying god is perfect in all ways so therefore he wouldn't allow this to happen.
I believe he would.
It is not for me to understand, just to have faith that God has everything in hand.
God created people, his children. Some are just unwilling to accept that yet.
Being a child of god is not what we do, the thumb pot could be in tiny pieces, but he would love it, it is all about our relationship with him.
In building the relationship all things begin to fall into place.
IN THE BEGINNING
God created me.
He created all.
A purpose in mind.
Building relationships.
We are in His image.
We are not God.
God is everywhere.
Within us.
God knows all.
All know God.
How much of God within?
GOD IS
God creates all, God within us.
People communicating, God sharing was God lonely.
Everything comes from, returns to, God
God created us we did not create God
Can we perceive God
He protects imparting sufficient knowledge
our perception differs truth will overcome by faith
grown, unexplained faith come from God
a gift once discovered unable to be lost
collective faith all things possible.
GOD SPEAKS
Voices whisper in my mind,words uttered
truth, reality fiction, fantasy
worse still delusion.
Cryptic messages scrawled upon blank canvas.
My inner world perceptive, intuitive,
are these the words my psychiatrist would use?
Perception of the world differing so.
Languages spoken interpreter needed,
deciphering void between us.
How does God speak? What does He say?
I try to explain puzzled faces talk of risk harm to others.
How can I help you to understand?
I cannot.
I think perception is fixed, perhaps a pill will help you too.
