Poetic testimony of life with bipolar depression
guided by Christ revealing faith in the
Lord God's love and strength of the spirit to survive.
Hi my name is Sue I am married to Dave and a mother to T.J.
I am a Christian and I write poetry mainly regarding the strength I gained through my faith in helping me to deal with living with a mental illness on a day to day basis.
In my work I reflect upon the immense mental distress which I suffered and the impact it had upon me and those around me.
My poetry comes straight from the heart, aiding me in my struggle with manic depression/bipolar depression.
Writing helped me to identify the raw emotions of living with a mental illness, and the affects of childhood abuse.
This site is dedicated to my inspirational poems, many of which have not been published.
I believe my words are being used to guide those in similar positions to know Him, either as a new relationship or to further develop an exsisting one.
I truly hope that you are touched and encouraged.

PERMANENT INK
Words, just words pouring forth from within.
The ink carrying part of me, not yet seen,
being shaped into focus becoming sentences.
Undetected words, thoughts, emotions, feelings
rising up unchallenged,ready to be aired
within the confines of my room.
Ink solidifying past hurts healing within,
knowing, believing words that once
were ink are so much more.
GOD’S VOICE IN MY HEAD
God is talking to me again in my head
He assures me it is true it is he.
However, it is also a symptom of my illness
I want to believe him but as the meds take hold
the voice gets weaker
surely I say boldly even perhaps
that if you are God
you will still be able to speak
through the haze of drugs
I want to believe I will always hear His voice
but I wonder if this is too much to ask.
