AND GOD SAID
____________

Each time God created something during His six days of creation, He spoke. He said "Let there be" and it was done.

This WORD that He spoke was God Himself. It was God speaking. When a person speaks, we say that "he said this and he said that". It was that person speaking. I think we all agree don't we? There are some who read the wrong bible, and may think different. But then, their bible cannot make any sense because it is contradictible.

Now let's try to understand the first verse of the gospel of John.
"In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and the WORD was God." (John 1:1).

So we understand that the WORD always existed (John 1"2), that it was always with God, and that the WORD itself was God...(Please notice the capital "G" in God...and don't let anyone tell you different).
We can also understand that this "WORD" is the one that created when it was spoken...and it came to be whatever the WORD said.

Now, what happened to the WORD? You know, this was the greatest thing that could ever happen for each one of us.
"And the WORD was made flesh, and dwelt among us...(John 1:14). This is connected to Genesis 3:15 when God promised a way out from death for us.

This "WORD" John is apeaking about is familiar to most people. He is speaking about Jesus Christ of Nazareth. But the question one may ask would be, "Well that is Jesus and not God...God is God, and Jesus was a man created by God". Let's go a bit further and find out.

"All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made" (John 1:3).

Therefore John is saying that the WORD was God, that the WORD created everything, that the WORD was made flesh in the body of Jesus, and that without Him, nothing would have been made. Therefore, the statement is saying that Jesus is the CREATOR. He is second to none, and He is the Almighty God. He is equal with God the Father and I can easily understand that. Can you?

Same people with their messed-up bible may say that Jesus is a god (notice the small "g"), or they may say that he is not equal to God the Father. Well let's go further still and see what makes more sense to you and which statement is the correct one.

I hope you believe in prophets at least. Isaiah was one of these famous prophets. He prophesied about Jesus many years before Jesus was born. He gave us this prophesy:
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called WONDERFUL, COUNSELLER, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, THE PRINCE OF PEACE". (Isaiah 9:6)

That statement surely verifies that Jesus is the same mighty God that created everything, and that He is equal with the Father.

Also, Isaiah tells us that "unto us a child is born" and "unto us a son is given". Have you noticed the "is"... in the present tense? He did not say "unto us a child will be born" neither that "a son will be "given". The "is" tells us that the child is already in existence and that the son is already given as promised, even though ISAIAH wrote that prophesy years and years before the child's birth.

So Jesus is God Himself, and there is no other way we can describe Him no matter which way we try to turn it. Let's get one more proof.
"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one". (I John 5:7)
There is no way that I for one can understand it different. The FATHER is God, The WORD (Jesus) is God, and the HOLY GHOST is God, three in one which we call the Trinity. (Of course the word Trinity is not found in the Bible, it is just a word so that we can understand three persons in one). That saves us getting a lecture about the Trinity.

So now, we know who Jesus really is. There is more about Him and what He did personally for you in another page which I hope I will be able to put together very soon. I hope we get the message and begin to think about that Wonderful Name.
