LITURGIST: O God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Creator and Sustainer, we thank You for the families of the world and for our family.

PEOPLE: We celebrate strong families everywhere and their future generations; we celebrate today, the Riley and Lockwood families.

LITURGIST: We understand the negative impact of poverty, poor education, teen pregnancy, inequality, and all evils on families today.

PEOPLE: We acknowledge that of ourselves we can do nothing, but with You all thinks are possible.

LITURGIST: We pray for every family member’s inner strength, faith, love, wisdom, and power.

PEOPLE: Our prayer is that You would renew our minds, uplift our hearts and create a growing spiritual life for our family today and for future generations.

LITURGIST: Bind us together, this Day of Worship. Give us a Worshiping spirit and a spirit of unity as we Worship You, O Lord.

PEOPLE: “Blest be the tie that binds, our hearts in Christian love! The fellowship of kindred minds is like to that above.” We worship and praise Thee, Hallelujah!

I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried. The third day He arose from the dead; He ascended into heaven and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Church Universal, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting. Amen

The St. George’s Motto
“God’s Lighthouse On The Shore”
What does it mean to be God’s Lighthouse on the Shore? First, the thought of this phrase is that God possesses the Lighthouse. The Lighthouse belongs to God—it is God’s and God’s ALONE. We seek God’s infinite counsel in order to carry out God’s work in spreading God’s message of salvation and healing. Second, the Lighthouse is a beacon of hope. It gives direction to the tossing ships on the stormy seas. The only way a ship can find its way to the safe shores is by the light of the Lighthouse. Third, is that the Shore signifies the primary harbour where the ships dock for security and comfort from the harsh waves. This harbour is very active and ma ny ships come from abroad to land and take anchorage here. A final thought is that WE are God’s Lighthouse—a beacon of hope which seeks God for wisdom in order that we may direct the weary and lost souls who are desperate for a safe place to anchor. St. Goerge is divinely placed on the Shore to be a harbour for those in hopeless need.
