Our Pastor
faith in Jesus Christ. We share an allegiance to
God's Word as our ultimate source of God's truth.
We share a need to learn, serve and grow in the
love and instructions of the Holy Spirit. These
are the same values we wish to impart to all
who enter into worship.
Pastor Scott has been in the ministry for over thirty six years. He attend Elohim Bible Inst., Pensacola Christian College, Bethany Bible College, Bethany Theological Seminary, and Andersonville Theological Seminary. He earned B.R.E, Master of Ministry, Master of Theology, Master of Divinity, Doctor of Ministry, Doctor of Theological degrees. He has ministered churches in the states of New York, Virginia, Delaware and Maryland.
God has given Pastor Scott a vision to reach families for Christ in the Baltimore County area. In a society which is trying to divide the family and separate the home, North Point Baptist Church’s desire is to see families brought together in Christ.
As Pastor, of North Point Baptist Church, Dr. Rowland Scott believes the Bible is God’s blueprint for the home, marriage and parenting. As we take God’s Word and apply it to our lives, we will see dramatic changes that can impact our relationships with others. Christ tells us to "love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and our neighbor as ourselves". As we begin to love God first, we will be able to love others the way God intended.
Pastor Scott and his wife, Helen, have been married since 1961.
