4 prophecies
Basel, Switzerland
4th Dec 2005
The following was received during a ministry trip to the city of Basel this December.
1)God’s timing
“You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky , but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. “
Mat 16 v2
I heard the Lord on several occasions say that the Swiss are the watchmen of Europe. When we think of Swiss watches we think of a high degree of accuracy, quality and durability. In a picture the Lord reminded me of this and showed me a vision of the entire nation where time had suddenly started to play apparent tricks with the people. I saw people shaking their trusted watches and wondering why they had appeared to have stopped. Nothing -even the shaking - could persuade them to start and behave normally.
Then people began to look up at the heavens and realise that something of great significance was happening.
And I heard the Lord say “ It’s My time”. Ordinary time as we know it had just collided with one of the Lord’s kairos moments for the nation and it cannot be ignored. Switzerland is going to have a meeting time with the Lord and His people need to be ready.
2)More tricks of time
Then during the worship I was standing next to the Rhine. It was dark and the atmosphere was charged with tension and danger. I saw the waters of the Rhine appearing to run backwards. When I looked closer though , I saw Jesus standing there and in fact he was making a way right across the Rhine. The waters were in fact going back on themselves on either side of Him and making a way across. Jesus appeared very tall. He was standing right in the middle and seeming to protect people who were trying to cross. It reminded me of the crossing of the Red sea except this was in Europe and the sense of urgency was very great. People in this nation are not used to having to move as fast as this.Jesus was the only light. It was coming from a menorah in one hand and the other was held up as a sign of authority -I took it to be over the river.
Then I heard a voice saying “What will you do Switzerland in the day of Jacob’s troubles ?” I realised that this had to do with the End times and the Jewish people having to flee in a time of great danger. Everything was shaking but Jesus still remained there. People were passing through what looked like a gate but I could not tell how long it would remain open.
At the same time I saw the rest of the city. I saw the Lord’s people under a protection. I saw buses suddenly being diverted, clocks showing the wrong time so they were late or early. I saw road blocks rearranging peoples’ journeys. Things that looked as if there had been some sudden flood or accident . I knew though that this was the hand of the Lord protecting people for His purposes and that they were not going to regret this at all. The whole time this went on I felt a shaking but it seemed that not everyone was aware of this.
3)The Eagle
“The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox,the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle. “

Right through this year, the Lord has used this picture of the four faces to speak to me about balance. He used in again for me in Switzerland. The lion is for royalty, for the governmental side of the Lion of Judah. The ox is for patience, toil and for treading out the grain. He is a servant. The man is for human compassion, the eagle for the prophetic.The Church needs all of these to be reflected but of course we get things out of balance. Too much emphasis on the governmental and we have dictatorship. The servant can be abused and become a slave with a false work ethic. The man can become human sympathy with out God and the eagle with out the governmental can become isolated. The Lord showed me that in here the humanistic side had dragged the Church off balance in the past and he is about ready to correct this. As I saw a battle beginning with this humanistic side, suddenly a huge eagle rose up from under the ground, shook the dust off its feathers and took his stand .I last saw him spreading his wings -one towards Germany, the other towards France. He looked as if he had been asleep a long, long time and was assessing the situation before taking flight.
The Church and the city are going to be shaken and challenged but the purpose is the balance of the Lord. It is his plumbline.
Part of this shaking is to shake the nation free of the things which have prevented her realising her true identity in the Lord. As always, the Lord begins in his own household.
He spoke to my heart about the Swiss being ones who would be a refuge –for the Jewish people and for a new breed of reformer. He spoke of their generosity -they are wealthy because there is a Joseph anointing there on them which will be so needed in the years ahead. Most of all, He said, these people are meant to be carriers of the glory of the Lord, jealous for His presence.
3)Dragons, Gold and Basilisk
Basel stands at the gate to the nation. For those who do not know the city, the symbol of the city is a dragon who appears on statues, fountains and images throughout the city. I wondered at this, also at the size of the banking system here.
The Lord gave me this word -the dragon is guarding and hoarding the gold. In mythology, that is what dragons do. The power behind this dragon has also put a kind of curse on the water here.
I had a sense of a very ancient pact having been made here long ago between the enemy and the inhabitants. It is as if they were tricked into thinking that they needed the security of finance. The result has been an enslavement of the people and they get nothing from this wealth. On the contrary, it has brought pain, slavery and depression here with so much occult and other bondage.
4)Old and New Order
“ At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split. “
Mat 27 v51
A recurring picture here is of division, new and old wineskins, God’s order and mans’ order fighting for the city and the nation. I saw two battles. The first was the battle of the Church between the old and new wine and also the conflict between New World Order, with all its emphasis on worldly systems and power and and the order of God.
I felt again that there had been old pacts made here -maybe before Switzerland was ever a nation and the enemy has chosen this place as his own. I sensed a huge battle going on over this gate. Whoever controls the gate here has great influence into thee nations and indeed over many systems leading over all of Europe.
I saw in the Spirit the moment God’s order came in -the moment the veil of the temple was rent from top to bottom as assign that all was now finished. Here too I saw rending but physically that here there will be a time when the order of man and the order of god clash wholesale. What we call the New World order would like a seat of power here and they shaking will be immense. God’s people need to be wise.This is an important gate. Some of the shaking I felt throughout these visions is physical. I felt that the enemy had already spotted this are as one where there are underground faults. I did feel danger of another earthquake in this place but have no set date. It speaks of times of trouble and choices to be made.
I felt that here is a place where there is going to be no room for compromise in God’s people. The battle is just going to be too huge. They need to be in that place with god where he will hide them in the cleft of the rock and in such a place of alignment with His purposes that they will be like a crowbar. The huge load the enemy has imposed here on the city, at the gate to the nation can be held by a people who know their God, have a real intimate relationship with Him, love His presence. They might not be many but just as the small crowbar can move a huge object, they will have a strength upon them to move mountains.

SWITZERLAND AGAIN

1)
BURDEN BEARERS
During a time of prayer and repentance for the nation, the Lord gave me an indication of what He has in store for the Swiss. He wants the nation to open to Him, to be a blessing to the nations and to enter into a new time of reform. The floodgates have to be opened and at this time it is important to pray that the hidden sins which are so offensive to the Lord are dealt with or the ensuing flood risks being very destructive.
I felt for the first time that the nations had abused Switzerland. We have known some of the things which have gone on behind closed doors, the cover ups and the false refuge given to affairs the Lord cannot approve of. Yet we have given a tacit assent to these things and done nothing to intercede. It reminds me of the way we send our nuclear waste to other nations, hoping nobody will notice and they have to live with the pollution and danger to health. We know it is wrong yet we turn a blind eye. We put our rubbish in other peoples’ dustbins and pretend we know nothing about it.
I saw in my spirit that sculpture of the dying lion in Lucerne which is so famous. Yet it cries out to nations that they too have had a hand in the double dealings in this nation. The Swiss Guard perished defending a foreign king. We cannot stand back and let them alone bear the brunt of the consequences of what came to their soil because of man’s politics and compromises. We have to be burden bearers for them to carry our part of that sin. We all need to own up to this one.
The Lord wants this nation to be like a river, teeming with life for Him. All Europe will benefit but the river needs cleansing. Are we willing to cry out for them? Are we willing to remove the stones and obstacles which block the river and admit we had a hand in putting them there?

THE SPIRIT OF THE SOVEREIGN LORD IS UPON ME..
ISAIAH 61
This small nation has a mission and destiny to fulfil. They are to be ambassadors of the Lord, His watchmen and warriors. One short look in the natural at this nation shows their mercy heart and their desire to help those in distress and the best part, the truth of their destiny is yet to be fully realised in the heavenly places. They will indeed bind up the broken hearted for the lord and take vengeance on the Lord’s enemies. They will provide for those who grieve in Zion and bring gladness. They are wealthy for a reason - to bless others. There is such an anointing of the Lord on them to do this. The nations need to pray this upon Switzerland instead of being jealous of their wealth - at least in my nation we are guilty of this.
3)
BULLS AND CELTS
A persistent picture which has come to me is of a bull, a principality in the Alps. Not just for Switzerland but other Alpine regions too. The Helvetae were a fierce tribe noted for their strength and independence. They thought nothing of trying to take on the might of Rome itself. They were not to be easily intimidated. Yet what the Lord showed me was a bull being led around by a ring in its nose. I since found out that this is the symbol for the canton of Uri, one of the first three cantons of the nation. So what happened to change the fierce tribes into a tame animal used for ploughing? The destiny of the Swiss is not to be docile but enforcers of the Lord’s kingdom. I felt the Lord showed me the labours of Hercules, the strong man who had to tame a fierce bull as one of his tasks. Hercules has had a cult in the Alps. Then the Lord reminded me of the wild ox, “rimu “in Hebrew. Job 39 v9-12 speaks of this animal as being one it is impossible to subdue, impossible to tame. I felt the Lord saying that the destiny of the Swiss is to be conquered by the Lord only, their fierceness and strength in war to be subject to him. Yet the enemy has come in and turned this into a servitude and a passivity. The ox has been muzzled and lost its freedom. In order to bring freedom, the nation needs to know freedom. Work is good and honoured of the Lord but it is not a god. The Helvetae were Celts, like so many of the tribes around at that time. They worshiped trees and had sacred glades and rocks. They worshiped the stars. It is interesting that in the heavenlies, Hercules, the strong man himself bows down to a crown - the Queen of Heaven I believe. I stress here that I am, not speaking of astrology which is most obviously forbidden by the Lord. The Lord intended that the heavens would be for signs and markers, like a giant clock speaking to all of creation of the Creator and His plan for the redemption of mankind through Jesus.
May the Lord restore what has been lost so that this nation might bow the knee to Him and use their freedom to set the captives free.

FOR SWITZERLAND
FEB 2004
A few years ago I was given a vision of Europe. All the nations at the right time in the Lord received a rainbow over them, which indicated that the Lord was ready to move over the nation. Switzerland was the only nation where instead of a rainbow; I could see nothing except what looked like a white lid. I was not allowed to see what was going on under the white lid.
In prayer today I saw the Lord with what looked like an enormous battering ram at the gate of a walled city. The walls had turrets and towers made of mountains and city gates. The heavy gate was made of wood and had a huge knocker on the front. I understood in the Spirit that this represented Switzerland. The Lord was shouting out to the nation for them to open to Him and give Him what belonged to Him. He used the term “ Helvetia” instead of the modern word. For a moment I saw a glimpse of a scene from the film “ Lord of the Rings “ where the race of kings seems to have died out in a city and there are stewards in place. Nobody believes the race of kings will ever return. I felt that this was the case here. The King was knocking at the door but the people had become so used to having stewards in place that they were none too sure of this demand. They had forgotten that the treasures did not really belong to them. I was not too sure either what the Lord meant when He asked for what belonged to Him but behind the walls had a picture of a huge dam of water which was meant for the nations but which was held inside.
Then the Lord started to show me that the nation was indeed a place of refuge, just like the cities of refuge appointed in Numbers 35 v11. This is a part of the nation’s destiny in God. There is with this, as with all callings, a down side. The nation has been a refuge in a godly sense but has also been used to give refuge to things ungodly. I had the word “hoard” - that this is the counterfeit of the gifting and calling when people forget the giver of the gift and pervert the calling of refuge to hoard what comes in instead of giving it away. I was given the reminder that even godly manna goes mouldy when it is not eaten or is left until the next day and that this is a danger here. You could find yourself looking after mouldy manna. This nation had a struggle to establish her borders in the first place and guards them jealously. Again this can be a good or a bad thing. Godly limits are fine but when we keep things in which should be released it goes against us. I had a brief picture of the Red Cross which I felt the Lord was saying was a good example of the nation’s destiny - mercy, refuge and compassion for others who have had their borders breached.
The Lord sometimes gives me little puns and plays with words. The next thing I heard in the Spirit was a question - “ What do the Swiss do? “ I did not have to answer though because the answer came so quickly – “ The Swiss guard “And immediately I saw the Swiss Guard in action. The Lord loves them. They guard the King, His treasures, His interests. They are loyal and faithful unto death. And I felt the Lord say that this is a part of their calling too. But not to guard in any earthly sense things which do not need guarding any more. It is a new day.
He then went on. The Lord said that the Swiss were the “watchmen of Europe”. Not for nothing do they make the best watches. I believe this nation will produce some of the best spiritual watchmen in Europe. I had a picture though of watches stopping all over the nation. Puzzled Swiss people shook their formerly trusty watches and wondered what had gone wrong. The Lord told me that he was breaking into their time with His time. No longer earthly time but kairos time in the Lord.
I then saw Geneva. The water is to do with reform and this city has blessed many in its past history. I saw salmon coming from all over Europe swimming up to Switzerland to lay their eggs. They need to have access to the pure water sources where the salmon can be born. If the salmon do not get to the sources where they were born, they will die out. Switzerland has to open the sources to the nations.
I had a reminder too of the nation’s love of cleanliness. It is a sign of something spiritual, a desire to be a holy people for the Lord. Taken too far though water can be so disinfected that it becomes sterile and in spiritual terms this will lead to empty, clinical, sterile religion instead of the living waters of the Spirit teeming with life.
It was only then that I realised what the white lid is. It is not a lid at all. It is a seal. One which has to be opened at the right time. It is like the whiteness of virginity and the King wants access to this. . He is there right now, wanting what is His. He wants to make the nation pregnant with His plans and purposes.
There was activity behind the wall of the city. Much is happening spiritually but it is nothing to what the Lord is wanting to do. No doubt when the gate opens, much will come out that is impure but the Lord is wanting to refresh and flood with His Spirit. He wants her to flood her borders with the freshness of the Spirit.
So what is the Lord saying to Switzerland? Old manna too much guarded becomes mouldy. Virgins who do not give in to the King become sterile old ladies. You have had much but now is a new day and the Lord wants you to overflow your banks and borders to bless all of Europe. The water is starting to flow but it is nothing to the dam which needs to go. Don’t be content with where you are at now.
Finally two words the Lord reminded me of;
“ Test Me in this, “ says the Lord Almighty, “ and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing, that you will not have room enough for it “.

THE UNITED KINGDOM
The Vision

Vision given around 1970
During those weeks a vision came to me. It appeared three different times, during prayer, and it was the same vision each time. Now most of my revelation from the Lord is what I just 'know': He makes me know something, and I speak it forth. But now and then I have a vision, and when I do I have a pretty good one! Some people have a very garden-variety type of visions: they're getting them all the time, you know. But I just have them now and then. And it's usually a milestone: a turning point or very large directive in my life.
And what I saw was the British Isles, as in a bird's eye view. A kind of haze was over the whole, like a green fog. And then little pinpricks of light began to appear from the top of Scotland to Land's End. Then the Lord seemed to draw me closer to these lights, and I saw that they were fires that were burning. They were multiplying from the top of Scotland to Land's End. Then I saw lightening come and strike those fires, the brightest spots particularly, and there was a kind of explosion, and rivers of fire flowed down. Again, the sense of direction was from the top of Scotland to Land's End. But some of those rivers of fire didn't stop there. They went right across the Channel and didn't stop there. They went right across the Channel and spread out into the Continent.
Phase One: The Glowing Fires
The Lord impressed it on my Heart that those fires I saw were groups of people whom He would make intensely hungry for New Testament Christianity. They would start reading their Bibles and saying, for instance, as they read the book of Acts, 'Well, where is this happy church? Where are these people so full of the power of the Holy Spirit? Where are these miracles? Where is this growth, this vitality, this courage, this boldness that these people had? Is that for today – can we have it today? Should the church be this way?'
And as these questions were being planted in their hearts, the Lord Jesus said He would make them very hungry for the Holy Spirit; He would fill them with the Holy Spirit, and out of those gifts would flow ministries that would enrich the Body of Christ. The whole concept of the Body of Christ would come alive, and barriers between denominations and different types of Christians would break down as people met each other.
The Lord said He would move these people all over the country. After he had taught them gifts, he would move them to another place where they would carry that fire, and where they would meet others also who were being renewed by the Holy Spirit. He would put them in different situations from what they were used to, so that they would get to know people of other denominations, other cultures and other classes, and be able to communicate to them the blessings that the Lord had given them.
And then He told me that during that time He would also test them. There would be great testing of faith, great waiting times. He would teach them spiritual warfare. He would show them the meaning of the power of the blood of Jesus, the name of Jesus, the word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.
Phase Two: The Coming of the Lightning
Then I asked the Lord, 'What does the lightning stand for?'
And he said, 'Unlike the first part, in which I will be speaking to Christians and preparing My church and renewing it and reviving the saints, the lightning represents a second part of the vision, in which I will bring a spiritual awakening to the nation that will be a witness to the unsaved, to the un-churched, to the non-Christian.
Through these believers I will bring a witness to this land. They will be an army of witnesses. And I will begin to release their ministries so that when they give their testimonies there will be apostolic signs following and accompanying their testimonies. Where ears have been deaf and hearts have been hard and eyes have been blind, I will touch the people of this land and they will begin to hear the testimony of My people, they will begin to see the manifestations of My power, and their hearts will begin to believe. Thousands and thousands of people are going to come into my kingdom through this army of witnesses, through this people movement – not characterized by any particular evangelist or great organisation at the front, but just My people rising up, led by My spirit and beginning to move forward with a new faith for evangelism, a new zeal to share Jesus with others. And as they give their testimonies, I will release their ministries of healing and miracles, and there will be signs and wonders accompanying their ministries. So many people will be saved, in the villages as well as in the cities, in the schools, in the government, in media, in industry. It will affect the destiny of this nation; it will determine the course of the times.
Phase Three: Streams across the Channel
Then I said, 'Lord, what about these streams that go on across the Channel into Europe?'
And He said, 'That represents people who will rise up in the midst of this people movement, this army of witnesses in Britain, whom I will make My communicators.'
Now I hadn't used that word very much before in ministry I said, 'Lord, what do you mean by communicators?'
And he said, 'They will not only be people endowed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit, with strong faith, but they will also be people talented in the arts. They will be writers, musicians, singers and actors, and also technicians in television, radio and the mass media. I will call and send them and put them in strategic places. I will bless their natural talents with my Spirit, and they will be good: they will excel. They will be leaders in their fields. I will send them into Europe, where they will meet other people in the media, and through them I will release the word of God very fast in Europe. The result will be another wave of a spiritual awakening, with thousands coming to Christ throughout Europe.'

RAIN AND FIRE WORDS.
I can see a picture of the world. I can see spots of rain hitting different places in the world like you see spots of rain on the pavement before the main rain comes.
The spots of rain that have hit the world are Toronto, Sunderland, Pensacola, Argentina, a big spot there. China, a big spot there and many others. I can see that there are going to be more and more spots until the main rain comes in a rush like you get when a heavy rain storm comes.
Also there was a second picture of Great Britain with glowing embers all over the country.
A wind was beginning to blow upon them and as this wind blew upon them they were getting brighter and brighter hotter and hotter until the whole country became a mass of flame.
The wind that was blowing was blowing from Great Britain to Europe. The wind was carrying the sparks and flames over to Europe. The fire that was now on the other side of the channel moved across the continent like a wall of fire consuming all before it.
Great Britain used to be the missionary country of the World and will be again.
This country will be used to spread the fire yet again across the World only more so than the past for the Lord will be merciful to this county even though it has turned its back on him.
He will restore what the devil has stolen to you for the Glory of what is to come will be greater than what has gone before says the Lord.
