THE LOVE THAT FOUND ME....
|
I HAVE SEARCHED ALL MY LIFE FOR SOMETHING TO FILL AN EMPTY SPOT IN MY HEART.I LOOKED IN ALL THE WRONG PLACES...AND FINALLY SOMETHING MOST AMAZING HAPPENED TO ME WITHOUT ME REALLY KNOWING IT...THE LORD CAME INTO MY HEART...SINCE THAT DAY MY LIFE HAS CHANGED AND CONTINUES TO CHANGE EVERYDAY...I HAVE SUCH A PEACE KNOWING THAT SOMEONE LOVES ME NO MATTER WHAT...AND THAT HE WILL NEVER EVER LEAVE ME...NEVER!!!! NO MATTER WHAT I AM GOING THROUGH IN MY LIFE...KNOWING THAT GIVES ME PEACE...WITHOUT THE LORD I AM NOTHING...I NEED HIS LOVE...HIS GUIDANCE...HIS STRENGTH...I CAN NOT DO IT ON MY OWN...WITH HIS LOVE ALL IS POSSIBLE AND I LIVE IN PEACE...I LOVE THE LORD AND NOTHING WILL EVER CHANGE THAT...HE IS MY KING!!!!

CROSSING A BRIDGE
I was in a big dark lonely pit,
So dark I couldn't see, not even a bit.
Thinking why was I even born,
My heart had been broken and torn.
Then I seen just up ahead,a light,
It hurt my eyes because it was so bright.
I kept going towards the light struggling,
Being pulled back, not sure what it would bring.
I finally got to it and what did I see,
A bridge with Jesus on the other side, reaching for me.
"Come my child," He said,"cross over to this side,
Do not be afraid, you no longer have to hide."
As I walked across the bridge towards Him,
I could feel something happening within.
I felt my heart being set on fire,
And my soul being filled with desire.
He wrapped me up in His arms lovingly,
Held me close and took all the hurt from me.
Thank-you sweet Jesus for your love,
Through you I now know my Father above.

A PERFECT VALENTINE'S
Nine years ago, I wanted my life to end,
Alcohol was, I thought my only friend.
I had lost everything, it was the only thing around,
But what I thought was my friend was letting me down.
It no longer took any of my pain away,
So I decided to end it all that day.
I took a mixture of alcohol and pills,
Then went to my bed and layed perfectly still.
I stay there for hour till I could lay anymore,
I got up and then headed out the door.
My life did not end on that awful day,
Instead God took me and showed me the way.
He showed me how much my life was a mess,
And how without alcohol, my life could be a success.
On the day that people celebrate love,
I was saved by my Father up above.
He gave me the perfect Valentine's, you see,
He gave me a new life, He set me free!!

CLEANSING RAIN
I am standing here alone in the cool rain,
It is cleansing me, washing away all the shame.
It is sent to me from God, my Father above,
He is cleansing my heart, filling it up with His love.
With each drop He washes all my pain away,
Replacing it with peace in my heart to stay.
His love has taken all the fear from deep inside of me,
He has taken me out of the darkens and set me free.
So thanks to you Father for your cleansing rain,
With your love in my life, I will never be the same.

NOT A MOVIE STAR
Sometimes my self-esteem is not where it ought to be,
I start to worry what others will think of me.
Maybe I am not as smart as they are,
I do not look like a model or movie star.
I did not go to any fancy school,
And I do not have any degrees, as some do.
I do not own a big house or a boat,
I do not wear designer jeans or a fur coat.
I do not play music in a famous band,
And I do not travel to far away lands.
What others think should not bother me,
Just what God thinks is what matters, you see.
He knows my heart and sees within,
All my beauty inside,that is God-given.
I have a job that i would not trade,
That is being a mother to my children, God made.
I do have lots of riches that is true,
My husband's love, family and friends too.
Even though I am not a perfect size three,
God gave me many strengths, He gave me inner beauty.
So when I start to worry what others think again.
I will remember God loves me outside and in.

WOMAN IN ME
Today is the day you will start to see,
The woman that God put me on this earth to be.
The masks I have, I no longer want to wear,
Who I really am, it is time I share.
I am a unique person, with her own opions too,
I am not stupid if I do things different then you.
The wall I have built around me, needs to come down,
It is time my face has a smile instead of a frown.
There is only one that I have to please,
And knowing that puts my heart at ease.
God knows who I am and wants me to be,
The woman who has been hiding inside of me.
