Who Are We ?
|
“And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15
We were called into the ministry in 1996 and began to travel about the United States sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the ministry of Preaching the Word and singing Southern Gospel music. The Lord called us as a family and therefore we traveled and ministered as a family everywhere we went. We have been blessed with many different types of ministry opportunities since being called to share the Gospel. The Lord very graciously allowed us to preach and sing His Word in Churches, Revivals, Coventions, Gospel Singings, Picnics, Homecomings, Homeless Shelters, Street Missions and Nursing Homes throughout Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas.
March 2001 was the last "big" trip we took for a while as we felt the Lord called us off of the road and to stay at home more. Since April, 2001 we have been "farming" (actually having a great time making pets of everything that moves around our place) and call our small homestead, "Gospel Witness Farms". We have a wide variety of animals and are enjoying each and every one. We believe that as we come into contact with the local community through our daily lives we should be a light and a witness for Christ. Our greatest desire is to share the Plan of Salvation with those who are hurting and lost. Time is growing very short and there are a tremendous amount of souls that need to be reached. We love the Lord with all of our hearts and are very focused, sincere and dedicated in what we are called to do.
“And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.” 1 John 2:17
We are located on a small farmstead in rural Grayson County, Texas. We are trying to raise quality animals that ourselves and others will enjoy and love. After many years of raising Dairy Goats, Chickens, Rabbits, Ducks and Jersey Cows we have changed our focus on just the Jersey Cows. It has been an incredible learning experience for our entire family and a tremendous blessing to be entrusted with God's animals. We believe that good stewardship of God's creation is an absolute must. Therefore the animals that we raise are very special to us and receive the best care possible.
The addition of Goat's Milk Lotions and Soaps to our farm has been a wonderful experience for us too. We have learned to handcraft each batch the old fashioned way with all natural ingredients. In June of 2004 our youngest son Michael was diagnosed with a very agressive form of cancer. He fought a very courageous and short battle before going home to be with the Lord on September 21, 2004. He was 10 years old. We have asked many times, Why ? We miss him so much but have faith in God that nothing happens without a divine plan being in place. To say that it's been easy since Michael passed away is simply not true, but each day God reveals Himself to us in a way that reassures us that He is a Living God that still loves and cares for us.
