Contributions are tax deductible...... ![]() We hope and pray that those who read this will make a contribution to Ezekiel House. Every little bit helps! Your contribution, whether funds or goods, is tax deductible. Ezekiel House is an Outreach Shelter Ministry Program of the Ezekiel Church of God in Christ, incorporated under man's law as a non-profit, religious organization. If you are contributing "funds," please make your contribution by CHECK or MONEY ORDER. We do not advise sending "cash" through the mail! Receipts will be issued and mailed the same day we receive your contribution. If you are contributing "goods," choose the least expensive method of shipment and have delivery made to Po Box 3282 Slidell La. 70459. Please include a letter with the goods giving an estimate of value, as your receipt will be based on the goods 'equivalent value in cash." If you are within a comfortable driving distance, and wish to deliver your contribution personally, please feel free to do so! We'd love to meet you and talk with you! The address above is the Parsonage. If you wish to contribute "goods," please keep in mind that "Ezekiel House" is actually now made up of THREE transitional homes....two for men, and one for women, and we can use just about any kind of household goods you can think of! From cleaning supplies, to smoke detectors, canned goods to household furnishings...we can put it to good use! As stated earlier, Ezekiel House is a LONG-TERM residential program. We do not just provide men and women with a few days "shelter and meals." We are geared to providing a meaningful opportunity for those we serve to productively rejoin society. For someone who literally has "nothing" to start with, it can be a very, very difficult journey rejoining society as an independent, employed person. If they don't have the "tools" to work with, it can be an IMPOSSIBLE journey!! We provide the "tools." A long-term residence, meals, clothing, telephone, transportation, job search assistance, community liason for other services and benefits including disability benefits if the person legitimately qualifies, medical referrals and more. Without these "tools," is is virtually impossible for a homeless person to gain a fresh start. When it comes to the "homeless problem" in America, very few seem to understand what it actually takes for a homeless person to get that "fresh start." We understand what it takes, and we are geared to providing the necessary long-term assistance. It does get a little sticky at times, financially, and that's why we hope and pray you will consider contributing and joining in with our efforts! If you have any questions or wish further information, please feel free to contact us! Due to the fact our staff are all volunteers, and the work load we have, we'd appreciate it if you would be so kind as to e-mail or write us, rather than calling. PRAISE GOD! ![]() |
