The Plan of Salvation
![]() The Romans Road is a straight road that leads in one direction. To an abundant, eternal life with God. Romans 3:10 "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" These verses tell us quite clearly that we are all in the same category...we are all sinners apart from Jesus. We are sinners because we have broken God's law. Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." According to the Bible, death is separation from God...our sin separates us from Him. Sin separates us from God in this life...and if we die physically, we will be separated from God eternally in the lake of fire that the Bible calls the "second death". We are all sinners, we all deserve death...the wages of sin is death..."wages" being something we deserve...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. It is through Jesus, because of what He did for us on the cross...He paid the penalty for your sin. Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." "Commendeth" here means that God proved His love for us...when we were not even thinking about Him...He was making a way for us to be forgiven and receive eternal life...Jesus paid our sin debt...He died in our place...He died in your place. Romans 10:8-10 "But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Notice how close you are to salvation right now. This passage says that if we confess that Jesus died for our sin...and believe that God raised Him from the dead..."thou shalt be saved". You see...the Bible says you will be saved if you confess and believe. Do you believe God wants to save you? Do you believe God will save you? Do you believe God will save you right now? Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." This verse tells us that whosoever calls upon the Lord will be saved. That means you. The decision is yours. Will you continue straight ahead and call on him or will you turn back. Please don't turn back. Pray the following prayer to be saved. Heavenly Father, I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus Christ shed his precious blood and died for my sin on the cross, and rose again on the third day. I believe in the Gospel. I accept Jesus Christ as my personal savior and ask him to come into my heart as my personal savior. I pray in Jesus' name, Amen. God Bless You! If you said this prayer and really meant it, the Mansfield Free Will Baptist Church congregation would like to be the first to welcome you to the family of God. If you would like further counseling feel free to contact Pastor Mark Bailey at 419-589-6634. I'm a Christian! Now what must I do? Read your Bible every day to get to know Jesus Christ better. Be baptized, worship and serve Christ in a church where Christ is preached and the Bible is the final authority. Tell others about Jesus Christ. Talk to God in prayer every day. ![]()
