What is a church? Is it nothing more than a structure built on a parcel of ground? A place filled with the finest of furnishings, with a fancy steeple reaching to the sky? Or is it more than a building, more than a place, more than what you can see with the natural eye?
We at the Mansfield Free Will Baptist Church believe it is more than that. We believe that the church is a living, growing, Life changing entity. A place of spiritual Growth and Strength, a place of Encouragement and Rest, a place to find refuge from the unrelenting storms that batter our lives daily. The Church is a gathering place. A gathering place for the weary and the hurting, a place where you can catch a glimpse of something more than this world can offer. A place where you can open the pages of your Bible and learn of a Savior that loves you more than you will ever know.
It should be a place that is free from politics and worldly agendas. It is a place where all men are still equal. Simply stated, it is a place that you can call home. Where you can worship and sing praises to an awesome God, where your heart can be stirred by the anointed preaching from the Word of God.
It is a place to serve and fulfill your purpose in life, where you can be stretched and challenged to reach this world with the good news of Jesus.
That is what we at the Mansfield Free Will Baptist Church believe that a Church should be.
