My grandfather, Joseph Crank, came from Ky and helped found Free Will Baptist on Hoover Rd. Is your church the same as the old one. I believe the old one was established in about 1955 (i was only about 7 years old so my concept of exact time was affected by my age at that time. If you know about him and the Church, i would appreciate the information. Thanks ans Shalom!!!

FREE WILL (NEVER FORCES) One of the more important doctrines of christianity is their, “free-will” doctrine [also called the “never forces” doctrine]. This man made doctrine gives christians the right to “do it their own way”. They believe God never forces anyone to do something that a human being doesn’t want to do. So, christians choose to be just as sinful as they want to be. And it is a fact that God isn’t forcing christians to do something they don’t want to do, since christians haven’t been predestined to be like the Christ was as walked this earth! Rom.8 [29] For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the first-born among many brethren. [30] And those whom he predestined he also called; and those whom he called he also justified; and those whom he justified he also glorified. (Any “glorified” christians around?) Why not ask “Saul” (who became “Paul”) if God never forces a human being to do something that is against one’s will? Saul was forced to become Paul because Saul had been predestined to become Paul. Saul had been forced to give up his free-will because he was predestined to become Paul. Only Saul could have become Paul. And what about the free-will that Jonah had? Was he, or, wasn’t he, forced to give up his free-will? Why was he forced to give up his free-will? He was forced to give up his free-will since he had been predestined to do what he did. No other human being could have done what Jonah did because only he was predestined by God to do what he did. But sinful christians aren’t forced to give up their free-will since they haven’t been predestined to become “Pauls” or “Jonahs”. Christians are free to do anything they want to do. Right? (If one church doesn’t allow certain sins, just go to another church where the sin is allowed. Right?) But they have been predestined: 1 Peter 2:8 and "A stone that will make men stumble, a rock that will make them fall"; for they stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do. And many of them even believe that some day, either at “rapture” or resurrection, they will, suddenly, in the twinkling of an eye, accept being forced to give up their freedom to sin. But why would they accept being forced to do right, at either of these events, when they refuse to accept “God’s Word” at this time? How could a free-will christian ever accept being forced to do right? What might the destiny of today’s free-will christians be, who use their free-will to be as sinful as they want to be [because they believe there is forgiveness for all their sinful actions]? Great tribulations for free-will christians are on the way! (If christians would be “raptured” before the judgment of God’s household begins, how could that condemning judgment of sinners begin at God’s household?)
