Divorce...think about it
Divorce is the only socially acceptable form of child abuse allowed in this country. Divorce is not a cure, - it is a process that never ends. It is not a solution, it is more like a cloud. A cloud that just keeps growing bigger until it bursts and puts a hole in your heart. It's like a swap shop. TV makes light of divorce, it is no joke. In frustration we often make discouraging comments and these comments reflect our own anger or pain. In this situation it is important to remember that Dad's don't just love their sons now and then, it's a love without end, a love without condition and not based on what they do or a reward for good behavoir or academic achievement. Not equal to but in a way like our Heavenly Father's love. Malachi 4:5-6 Divorce is not God's way. 1 Corinthians 7 v: 10 &11 .. a wife is not to depart from her husband. But if she does depart let her remain unmarried OR be reconciled to her husband. And a husband is not to divorce his wife. v:15 But if the unbeliver departs let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases. Mark 10 v:5-10 And Jesus answered and said to them, "Because of the hardness of your heart he wrote this precept. v:6 "But from the beginning of creation, God made them male and female. It is a selfish act,...what about the children, how do they feel? It is worse than a death in the family. It is brokenness a shame a disaster, just ask me. The damaged and destroyed lives of our children. Without question the number one problem in our society today is the break down of marriage and the family. God's Holy institution of marriage between a man and a woman for life is His perfect plan. A husband and wife having children and raising them in the admonition of the Lord is God's plan for the family. This instituted in the Garden of Eden and marriage has never changed throughout generations regardless of how man has tried to redefine marriage. God's definition of marriage has never and will never change. The current breakdown in society can be directly linked to the breakdown of marriage and the family. There are an alarming number of children who need professional help and are on some sort of medication daily for emotional and behavioral problems due to divorce. Physical, emotional and sexual abuse are happening to a growing number of children due to the fact they are living with adults who are not their natural parents and the God given natural love that a father and mother have for their child does'nt exist in such a situation. Pray about humbling yourself before the Lord asking Him to bring healing and restoration to your marriage, not just for you but for the children. Having been through the pain of divorce (I did'nt want it, she did) let me assure you that the Lord loves you and wants to help you heal. Go to Him in prayer, GOD answers knee-mail.
