A Missionary at heart - although English Speaking - ministers and preaches in Afrikaans in order to reach those working on the Gold Mines in the Free State of South Africa.
In addition to pastoring the local Church, he also has an outreach to those suffering with the HIV-Aids virus and their families.
Pastor Cornelius Claassen was first ordained in 1973 while doing Missionary work amongst the Indian Community in Chatsworth, Durban in Kwa Zulu Natal in South Africa.
He went on to pastor Churches in Cape Town and Port Elizabeth before settling in Welkom.
