FIRST DIOCESAN SYNOD OF ICABF
His Excellency, Archbishop Joseph Verzosa Galaroza, CSC, D.D., Primate of ICABF has formally announced the launching of FIRST DIOCESAN SYNOD OF ICABF to be held on September 13-November 29, 2008 in Quezon City. The Synod will be launched to align the ICABF program to the VI World Council of National Catholic Apostolic Churches in Guatemala in August 12-18,2008 which will be attended by all Bishops of ICAN Communion.
MANILA, PHILIPPINES-Monsignor Benjamin Baria Juson, CSC receives his new faculty to celebrate Mass and other sacraments from his Excellency, The Most Rev. Joseph Verzosa Galaroza, CSC, D.D., Primate of the Brazilian Catholic Apostolic Church in the Philippines or Igreja Catolica Apostolica Brasileira(ICAB).
Msgr. Juson joined the Congregation of St. Charles of Brazil, a missionary arm of ICAB last April 28, 2008 and was elevated to the rank of Mitered Archpriest and Vicar Forane of Mindanao dated October 11,2008 According to Msgr. Roger Martinez, Chancellor of ICAB. "How can he(Msgr.Juson) be excommunicated if he already transferred to ICAB prior to November 11,2008 Excommunication issued by Bishop Elenito Galido? It is completely moot and academic for it is impossible to impose discipline to a person who is no longer your subject."
"It is not true that Msgr. Juson was recruiting new members to our congregation as alleged by Fr. Naron. Msgr. Juson issued an invitation to inform the Diocese of Iligan of his new affiliation. It is also not true that CSC is deceiving our people as alleged again by Naron.
"The Catholic Church,” said Martinez, “is not only the Roman Catholic Church and should not be exclusive word to the Romans. A Roman might be Catholic but not all Catholics are Roman. Remember, there are Orthodox and Old Catholics, Aramaic Catholics etc. Tell again to people that ICAB is not Catholic and we will announce to people that Roman Church is not Christian"
Meanwhile, The Primate of ICAB in the Philippines, Archbishop Galaroza added "Even Mary, The Mother of God is not a Roman Catholic, also St. Joseph , St. John the Baptist and others are not Roman Catholic but they are in heaven. Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for my sake" quoting Matthew 5:11.

NO LONGER CSC PRIESTS
The Congregation of St. Charles of Brazil wants to inform it's faithful and the general public that Fathers Clifford Garcia and Richard Tabila are no longer connected to the Congregation and to the ICAB communion. Any transaction or commitment by the aforesaid priests will not be recognized by CSC/ICAB effective January 27, 2009.
ORDINATION 2009
The Brazilian Catholic Church is now again blessed with two great men who were ordained deacons last April 23,2009 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Kapatiran Village. The new deacons are Reverend Bong Caluntad., LLB and Rev. Cris Canopen, LLB. Congratulations!
| Presbyteral Ordination '09 The Solemn Ordination to the Priesthood of Reverend Benedick dela Cruz and Reverend Bong Caluntad was held last July 4,2009 at the Holy Family Parish, Kapatiran Village, Pasong Buaya, Imus, Cavite. Together is the installation to the ministry of Lectors and Acvolytes of Sem. Harvey Lagarse and Sem. Roel. The Congregation is happy for the newly ordained priests and newinstalled seminarians. May more vocations to come for the glroy of God! |

| DIACONAL ORDINATION and INVESTITURE Bro. Harvey Legarse will be ordained deacon on October 24, 2009 at the Our Lady of Fatima Parish, San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan at 9 in the morning. Bro Harvey underwent his seminary program in St. Jean Marie Vianney Institue of Pastoral Ministry. On that same day, two aspirants will be invested of their soutane, namely Bro. Lher and Bro. Lito, both are preparing for Permanent Diaconate is undertaking their formation from St. Jean Marie Vianney Institue of Pastoral Ministry. Congratulations and may God Bless you and your ministry! |
