St.Charles of brazil or Archbishop Carlos Duarte Costa(1888-1961)was born in Rio de Janeiro,Brazil,July 21,1888.At the age of 22,He was ordained priest,April 1,1911.He was apointed Bishop of Botucatu,Brazil on July 4,1924.Consecrated Bishop at Rio de Janeiro,Brazil by Sebastiao lame de Silveira Cintra,December 8,1924.
As a result of Ecclesiastic and civil persecutions in Brazil,he found the Igreja Catolica Apostolica Brasileira(ICAB)in July 6,1945.Carlos Duarte Costa was involuntarily separated from the jurisdiction of Roman Catholic Church.This schism was an act of Pius XII and was not iniated by Duarte Costa.March 26,1967,Costa Died at the age of 78 due to liver ailment.He was canonized by the Brazilian Church in 1970.

We are Old Catholics whose valid lines of Apostolic Succession is derived from Archbishop Duarte Costa known as "Rebiban Apostolic Succession" and St.John Maximovitch,Russian Orthodox Bishop of Shanghai,China.
CSC belongs to Catholic Church. The word Catholic which means universal, belongs NOT only to ROMAN Catholic Church alone.Roman Catholic might be Catholic but not all Catholics are Roman. In reality the Catholic church is the Total church of Jesus Christ undivdided, Whether it is from the EAST or from the WEST.
