The Congregacao de Sao Carlos(CSC) is a Filipino Congregation of Old Catholic Clergy who derived their Apostolic roots and religious and cultural traditions from the ONE, HOLY, CATHOLIC and APOSTOLIC CHURCH of Antiquity through the lineages of St. Thomas the Apostle in the Syro-Chaldean Heritage, St. Andrew the Apostle through St. John Maximovitch of Russian Orthodox, St. Peter and through Bishop Carlos Duarte Costa of Igeja Catolica Apostolica Brasileira.
Inspired by the Moral and Justice Agenda, and the critical conviction and courage of Dom Carlos Duarte Costa of Brazil, Congregation of St. Charles of Brazil is commissioned to be the missionary arm of Igreja Catolica Apostolica Brasileira nas Filipinas (ICABF). With dedication and zeal brought forth by the Holy Spirit, CSC commits her resources, both human and material, in serving and reconstructing the local church of the Philippines and promotes the Ecumenism brought forward by sister Churches of the early centuries, especially in the first Seven Ecumenical Councils.
VISION
We envision a community of dynamic and zealous missionaries bonded together as witnessing disciples of Jesus Christ, who are fully committed with the Gospel imperatives of Freedom, Justice, Peace and Solidarity; constantly updated and critical of the signs of the times, and united with the Filipino people in their daily struggles towards the realization of their WELL-BEING in harmony with the whole creation.
MISSION
In the context of the situation and in the light of our vision, CSC enhances and promotes HOLISTIC-FORMATIVE VENUES that will facilitate each member and the people's inherent values of self-determination, Bayanihan, communal-transformation while reconstructing the local church to become a National Church that will reflect the indigenous and the religious and cultural values of the Filipinos.
