Please keep in the Martain family in your prayers as well as my brother, James, and his wife, Marizza. My sister-in-law's father, Johnny, had a major stroke today and as a result of the stroke the doctors found bleeding below his brain. The doctors have already "called the family in" and they do not expect Johnny to live much longer. Please also keep Betty Ralston in your prayers. She is my husband's mom. She has a lump on her thyroid and is scheduled to have it removed November 12, 2009. So far all biopsies have found the lump nonmalignant. Love in Christ, Rachel

I am quite sick with high blood pressure and am about to run out of my blood pressure drugs (the ones with awful side effects). I have to go back to a doctor to get a new prescription (you know how it goes). I'm thinking I'll change doctors this time and hope to find an older doctor who will take me since the young ones seem to tend to think our blood pressure should be about 115 over 75 or less, and this is just not possible for me. The ones I've gone to the past few years prescribe these drugs and then for all intents and purposes call me a liar about taking them when they don't get my pressure down to the ridiculous low level they think it should be. The nurse at the doctor I went to last actually used the "L" word referring to me. I TAKE the drugs as prescribed and can't help it if they don't work so well. They've tried me on every kind of b.p. drug, some with horrible side effects. I'm about in despair. Today, depression almost overtook me (I won't take anti-depressants). - Please pray for me that the herbs and supplements I'm trying now will work for me so I won't have to keep going through this. P.S. I just realized I needed to add to the prayer request the terrible fault my husband and I have had for over 40 yrs. of fussing and fighting. He shows very little respect for me, and I am not allowed to express myself to him all that much. He has always made me shut up pretty quick most of the time in favor of the radio, the t.v., the novel or the newspaper. It is better now than it was for a lot of years at first; but still is a difficult situation much of the time; is almost stupidly and unnecessarily complicated way more than it should be. (I started typing this, but hit a wrong key and lost it while ago. Hope this goes through.) Thanks. Wanda

Prayers requested for me and my husband to get in a good Christian fellowship situation, and whatever else is the Lord's will for us to do. "Church" has been rather hard on us as it is practiced in this current culture since childhood, I suppose. How I long for a peaceful fellowship without all the bells and whistles that are so much a part of most "worship experiences". I thought we had found a little country church near our home that would be okay, but there are so many denominational quagmires even there that we aren't going to be able to continue in that fellowship. Neither of us is all that well, and church related stresses especially in the last couple of years have really pulled us down a lot. I don't know what we're going to do, but am praying for the Lord to fix these problems - happily, hopefully; and agreeing in prayer for the Lord's will to be done also in all of your prayer requests. Hello, I enjoyed looking through your website. I have been to the Charity church in Lancaster Pa. I was intrgued by their lives and their messages. I have also read from those that have run into problems with them as well. I am diligently searching for the Truth and how God wants me to lead my wife as we seek to have a family. I am also in a group that is starting a non-denominational church here locally. I am struggling with some of the ideas that others in this group have as to what a church is to look like, and function. I am on the conservative side without a doubt. Just pray for us as we are engaged in this and for the Holy Spirit to give us the power in the words we speak when discussing the Biblical fundamentals about "Church". I know this seems to be quite contrasting but I also would like to ask you to pray for me as I am trying to overcome temptations that I face in working with the internet. Thank you and God bless you.
