An Emergency Call to Prayer For Christian Leaders in the UK
When a nation is in trouble it is right for leaders to call the people to prayer. Our nation is in trouble - more than most people are aware.
In December 2008, 80 leaders from churches, politics and business, who are concerned about the state of our nation met in the House of Lords to seek what God is saying to us today about our nation. Those present agreed that:
The current financial situation is primarily the result of the pursuit of moral choices and values that do not accord with the word of God
God is calling all churches in Britain to repentance and a season of prayer and fasting for the nation
The Christian church should reach out to those who are already suffering as a result of the present financial crisis
The United Kingdom, once a missionary powerhouse of the world, is now morally and spiritually bankrupt and our children are left without security, stability or hope. We believe, however, that it is still possible for this nation to be turned around if we turn to God in repentance trusting in His mercy.
The House of Lords meeting is sending out this call to mobilise Christians across the land for prayer and action.

Pray for London - Feb 15th 2006
It has been an interesting week in London.
On the 20th Jan 2006 a whale was spotted in the Thames outside Greenwich and then outside the House of Commons and then it died and the nation mourned. Since this spotting of the whale there have been several other sightings of whales in unusual places across the nations over the last 3 weeks. Whales have been seen in the Humber, beached in New Zealand and Florida, Japan and Australia have also had ‘whale’ activity. Is this just global warming or the world gone mad or could it have a spiritual significance? As a group of us have prayed we felt God say it is the sign of Jonah for the cities.
It is interesting that all the places that have had whale activity are 1st World nations and the whale appeared in areas not normal visited by whales at this time of year if ever. The first sighting of the whale in London was the 20th Jan 2006 and so if we are in a Jonah season now is a time to pray for our city. The city of Nineveh was given 40 days to repent. If we count 40 days after the sighting of the whale, we discover the date is the 1st March or Ash Wednesday and the commencement of Lent. So I believe that we need to pray for our city of London. There are 2 books in the Bible which write about Nineveh – Jonah and Nahum – in one book Jonah, the city repents and God relents and 150 years later a prophet comes and the city does not turn and the city experiences judgement. It would be good to read these books and ask God to speak to us about London.
Also as the same time I was receiving these words and information about London I have had various people, all unconnected speak to me about London and a possible flood warning. Several have felt that London will experience a flood, which will affect the financial security and structure of the city. It is also interesting to note that 40 days from the sighting of the whale and this ‘sign of Jonah’, which falls on 1st March is also the 4 days of the high Spring tides in the Thames. These high spring tides will be from the 1-4th March this year. I have listened to several radio programmes as I have been driving in the nation over the last days and one particularly on the Thames Barrier and discussing what would happen if the barrier did not hold. Everyone says the barrier is secure and it cannot be breached, and that it is more than strong enough but somehow all these signs cause me to want to pray and ask God to help us.
So in this season I ask you to pray and seek God while HE is near. There is a time to pray and there is a time to work but I feel that this is a time to pray and ask God to touch us and be merciful to our city.
(Isa 55:6 - 7 KJV) Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Well, Tuesday the 31st January is likely to be the final day in the life of the proposed Racial and Religious Hatred Bill.
The Government has tried every which way to manoeuvre this bill through Parliament and the House of Lord and in the last round in the house of Lord, the bill was rejected with a majority of 111. The Lord sent the bill back to Parliament with a lot of amendments which basically would have gone some way to protect or at least more clearly define Christian Liberties in UK law.
Shortly before Christmas it became clear that the Government was planning to send the bill back to the Lord, with all of the proposed amendments stripped out, with the ongoing threat, that if the bill was not agreed by the Lords, in it's current format - the Government would use the Parliament act to over- rule the house and bring the bill into law anyway.
So this might well be the last opportunity we have to pray into and take action on this bill. The Christian Institute has as always been at the fore front of this issue, and makes several recommendations in the article below. If you live in the UK, you will need to send an email or write a letter and of course pray, if you are outside the UK, please pray for us at this time. The expression of the Christian faith in law, will be severely hindered if this bill goes through.

Religious Hatred Bill
The crucial vote by MPs on the Religious Hatred Bill will take place on Tuesday 31 January. The outcome will influence gospel freedom for generations to come. Every vote will count.
MPs will decide whether to accept the full safeguards introduced by the Lords or vote for a weaker amendment by the Government. The Bill contains an ‘incitement to religious hatred’ offence which could outlaw criticism of other religions and threatens gospel freedom.
In October the House of Lords voted to amend the Bill to protect free speech and evangelism. We want MPs to accept this amendment in full without any changes.
We are sending more information in the post today urging our supporters to contact their MP again. The information should reach our supporters tomorrow. In the meantime, please pray about this important issue.
Prayer points:
That God would have mercy upon our nation and that gospel freedom will be preserved.
That somehow the Bill will not become law.
Against ‘deals’ being done by the political parties where the Racial and Religious Hatred Bill becomes part of a political ‘trade off’ for other issues.

So often those in the position of authority do not realize the spiritual authority they carry which is why the Lord tell us to pray for all in authority that we may lead quiet and peaceable lives in all godliness and reverence and that all will be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth. ( I Tim 2:1-4). As we have studied transformed cities around the world, one of the hallmarks of transformation is civil government begins to align with the purposes of God.
"Lord, we pray for all those in authority in England this year. We pray they will be conscious of your increasing presence and their accountability to you. We pray for godly wisdom and guidance. We ask you to cover them with your wings and draw them close to you. Lord, we ask that their will be a great increase of a knowledge of you among the people so that all will be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth.
Lord, as your people come into a renewed relationship with you I pray that you would renew your covenant promise among the peoples of England/Wales this year as you have promised in Hebrews 8:10-12, "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel (England/Wales): I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. None will teach his neighbor saying 'know the Lord,' for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest (in the UK). For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more." Lord, we beseech you to restore covenant agreement between the UK and heaven this year! Amen!

California intercessors unite to pray Britain back
We sought intercessors from around the world to pray for England in the last month or so - inspired by the prophetic words of Chuck Pierce "a sword over London" and Wendy Alec who prophecied a link-up where American prayers would deliver Britain and later the reverse would occur.
One of the results of the initiative is that a Californian team are looking to do just this - in fact they are extremely well organised - 58 counties linked together for intercession - representing a huge powerhouse of prayer directed at this nation.
The Vision

"Request from England: In addition, we have received a request from England to help them pray for their nation by coming along side of them to help them pray for their counties. I have been in contact with some of our regional leaders and our contact in England. Here is how we might respond to this request. I believe God is calling California back to its destiny. Below and in the attachment is a proposal for a Canopy of Prayer for England/Wales extended by Canopy of Prayer International & Pray California. This is a rough draft. In talking with leaders here, it is felt that we should place no burden on England to pray for us at this time. Instead, the focus would be on helping the counties of England connect and pray for one another with California standing by your side to assist, pray for, and strengthen what you are doing. In this way a canopy of prayer agreement will stretch across the ocean to cover your nation from our nation. I would only have one request? I would ask that in the event another nation would want a canopy of prayer that England would be willing to come help serve that nation. Below and in an attachment is the suggested strategy for a Canopy of Prayer Agreement over England & Wales. Let me know any suggestions or changes you see?
CANOPY OF PRAYER FOR ENGLAND
Purposed Canopy of Prayer Supported By: Canopy of Prayer International in Collaboration with Pray California.
Purpose:
California will join England and Wales in praying for their 52 Counties week by week during the year 2006. Prayer Agreement goes out to cover a new county each week until all of England is prayed for. This allows the counties to stand together in serving, praying for, and blessing one another. It encourages the building of understanding the needs of each county and relationship.
Biblical Bases:
Jesus promised that if two or three would come into covenant agreement His Father would answer and give them anything they ask for and He would come dwell in their midst. (Matthew 18:19,20). This is an application of an Old Testament truth. God told Moses, “Build a tabernacle that I may come and dwell in your midst.” (Exodus 25:8) The tabernacle was a place of covenant. If God’s people would enter into covenant with Him, He would come dwell with them. The word “tabernacle” is also translated “Canopy.” In the New Testament God doesn’t ask for a literal tent, but He still calls His people into covenant agreement as a condition for His dwelling in their midst corporately. He is still saying, “If you build it, I will come.” Wherever we place a canopy of covenant agreement, He promises to come and dwell in that place. If we want to change city hall, we place prayer agreement over it!
Function:
Prayer leaders are to be identified in each county to be prayed for to help involve the counties in prayer agreement. A report is prepared and sent out on the needs and concerns of the county to be prayed for each week to California and the other counties in England and Wales by the first day of the appointed week. The County report would include a brief description of its location, history of formation, prayer concerns and needs. Try to keep all of this report to a single page so as to not over whelm. This cover page would be attached. In addition to local problems and concerns the following prayer strategy would be encouraged in the prayed for county: A web site will help serve this at: http://aheartforbritain.blogspot.com
Justice & Righteousness: Believers pray for the dawning of justice and righteousness each morning over the prayed for county.
Pray in the Gates: Believers identify and visit the gates of their cities and declare Psalms 24. A Gate is identified as: a sphere of influence, a sphere of authority, a sphere of access. This is application of Isaiah 62:10.
Make sure to include major businesses, arts & entertainment, news & media, and schools.
A New Revelation of Christ: Call for God to reveal Himself in accordance with the New Testament Promise of Hebrews 8:10-12 “None of them shall teach his neighbor saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. For I will be merciful.”
Business Leaders Prayer Gatherings: In an effort to bless the cities there is need for business leaders to meet at the beginning of the week for a luncheon to bless the city. This gathering could be used to launch a “Blessing Coalition Fellowship” made up of business leaders, church leaders, civic leaders for a monthly luncheon to bless and pray for the city. The word BLESSING stands for B= Business L= Leaders E= Encouraging S= Selfless S = Service I = Intercession N = And
G = Grace.
There is a need for those who have authority in the different arenas of the city to use their influence and authority to speak life to the city and bless it.
5. Declaring the Word of God: There is a need for believers to declare the Word of God in the market place. Have believers go into the market place and read the word of God and pray. This is not done in a way to confront people or call attention to ones self. It is done to release light into the darkness. The promise of God is that His word will not return unto Him void but accomplish the purpose which sent. (Isaiah 55:10, 11)

M25 Prayernet - Together raising up one cry for London.

Dear London prayer warriors,
There is so much happening in our nation and London - it is a time of change. Driving on the M25 recently I realised that at last the road works near Heathrow had been cleared and the traffic was moving freely. Also the Wembley stadium is becoming more prominent on the skyline and it is beginning to stand and take it’s place. So externally we can see so much change – but then internally within institutions there is change too. Today the Tories vote for the new leader of their party, everyone predicts David Cameron will be the man. Yesterday the government finalised the legislation for gay couples to be recognised in civil partnerships. So changing the look of legal partnerships in Britain. So both internally and externally, our capital is under construction, as we are living in days of changing political, moral and ethical foundations. People and principles are shifting. So what is the correct Christian response in days of such change and how should we pray?
When we see changes that challenge our worldview of righteousness, it is often hard to keep an attitude of hope. But as we come to celebrate Christmas let us remember that Jesus does win the day. His beginning was not very promising – before he could hardly walk there was already a death against Him but He lived and totally fulfilled what God has planned for Him to accomplish. So, I believe that we must not be distracted by what is happening around us but we must know that God has spoken and we will win the day for London. This city will be a place where the presence of God is celebrated and Jesus is loved!
So, this week as you come to pray for London – pray with expectation that God is able to do what He has said He will do. God has a plan for London. As the lights begin to sparkle across the capital to celebrate Christmas – remember the Light of the World never leaves our city. His light will shine and London will be a city set on a hill radiating the atmosphere of God. Begin to celebrate the gift of Jesus to London – let praise and thanksgiving overwhelms you and take some time to consider the good things that have happened this year. Remember the lives that have been touched by the Alpha course written in London and it’s influence all around the world. Many have heard the Good news and been saved because of this voice from London. Thank God for the churches that faithfully serve London and pray for the various Carol services. Pray for the sound of God to be heard in the capital again.
(Isa 9:2 -3 NIV) The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned. You have enlarged the nation and increased their joy; they rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest, as men rejoice when dividing the plunder.
As you pray for London take this scripture and pray for the light of God to touch London. Let the pure Light of God invade the homes, business community and parliament. Let men and woman have a revelation of this light.
Pray for those who are living in the shadow of death – may be some are literally dying others are overcome by depression, others by fear and worry – let His light come.
Pray for joy to be released. We need to know the joy of the Lord to be our strength. Pray for an atmosphere of hope and encouragement to touch Christians – pray for a new sense of the presence f God walking in our city of London.

I (Kathi) just returned from two weeks in Britain and was a part of the national prayer gathering in Burmingham called "The Trumpet Call". It was amazing. I felt as though the Lord was offering Britain 15 years of health (out of Is. 38 when God heals Hezekiah and extends his life 15 years longer). There was a sense that God was extending the grace to come into alignment with His purposes throughout the UK. That doesn't mean that there will not be some judgements to help that alignment process but there was a definate sense of Is. 38 being over the UK.
We are praying and I hope to be back in England/UK

Dear Friends:
We must pray and intercede on behalf of those traumatized along the Gulf Coast areas. We are entering into a level of warfare in the earth that is beyond our present mindset and paradigm.
In these seven years of war, God has been preparing us for what is ahead. We are ending the fourth year and approaching the fifth year.
We need supernatural grace to deal with lawless structures in days ahead. I want to be real honest, when I wrote "The Future War of the Church" explaining the anti-Christ system and lawlessness, many criticized and scoffed at the concept of the level of warfare that we would be encountering in days ahead.
Please, please prepare yourself for these next three years. Use the prayer points below to begin to engage spiritual forces in ways that we have never understood in the past. The following prophetic word is from the revelation that came forth on August 12 in our FirstFruits Gathering built around covenant alignment.
WORD OF THE LORD THAT CAME FORTH ON AUGUST 12, 2005
To the United States of America ... "Know that today this nation is being realigned. Get ready, for refuge cities will begin to arise throughout this land. They will begin to rise up from state to state to state all along the East coast, all along the Gulf, and all along the West coast.
"I am raising up refuge cities. Florida is resisting the development of My plan, but I will cause a strong remnant to arise in this state. I AM even beginning to train those in cities that will know how to move forward. Many of you have wondered: 'Why am I not involved here or there - why do I seem to be shelved?' I will begin to assign you to be a part of those groups that will aid My next move in the earth.
"This will come because of great shakings, floods and disease structures that are forming. I AM assigning you now to spread My Good News. I AM developing ears to hear My grace. There is a shifting now of compassion and mercy, for I need My healers to be ready to be released throughout the land.
"...To those in law enforcement and public authority, lawlessness is beginning to rise and escalate. Many of you who have prayed will become discouraged as you see statistics change. Lift up your heads. This is the beginning of dividing and exposing the real source of covenant breaking and violence that is seething in this land. I will give you strategies over how to defeat major lawless structures. These strategies are but temporary measures, so remain on alert from this day forward."
Ask God to teach you about lawlessness.
Ask the Lord to build a shield of faith around you.
Ask the Lord to have you be more responsive to prophecy. (The word to Baton Rouge in 2003 was "you will become a refuge city" [referenced in "Releasing the Prophetic Destiny of a Nation"]. Don't lean on your own understanding. We are entering into a supernatural dimension.
Bind the accuser who is working in the earth realm to bring division in the midst of crisis.
Begin to set a blood line barrier at the 150 mile radius around the victimized area. How do you do that? You get up and decree by the Spirit of God that there is a supernatural shield set so that the enemy's plan cannot invade that barrier. Cry out for angelic forces to visit individuals that are crying out in these areas. Ask for angels to HELP in this structure of lawlessness that is operating in this part of the earth.
Pray for those that are serving as refuge cities – Houston, Baton Rouge, and others.
In the midst of trauma, always let God show you areas in our lives that can be purified. Bind condemnation and ask God to purify us where we have been weak in the past. In intercession, what you identify ... purify. Ask God to purify areas where we have allowed the enemy to take control.
Pray for supernatural, unexplained healings to start occurring in individuals.
Ask for the Holy Spirit to invade this situation.
Yes, this situation could be a result of the Gaza Strip crisis in Israel. Yes, this situation could be a result of the spiritistic decadence that goes on in New Orleans. Yes, this situation could be a result because of the slave entry through New Orleans. Yes, this situation could be a result of the gambling along the coast line. Yes, this could be because of the Circuit Court System in New Orleans taking its stand on behalf of abortion in the land. However, the issue right now is to let the Spirit of God rise up within you and for you begin to cry out in the midst of this situation in a way that you have never cried out before.
Job 22:30 says, "He will even deliver the one [for whom you intercede] who is not innocent; yes, he will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands." (AMP)
Once you have lived through severe trauma, you realize that pointing a finger is not necessary !!!
You actually realize that it is just the grace of God that any of us are not in these situations. Pray that the "spirit of man withstand this major wound and infirmity in this nation" (Prov 18:14).
THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE ONLY RESTRAINER OF EVIL IN THE EARTH REALM
Here is another portion of the prophetic word that came forward in our August FirstFruits Gathering on covenant.
To the CHURCH ... "I will reverse cessation thinking. Many have held onto a dead religion. Let go of old religious patters and embrace My resurrection and power. The wind of My power will begin to blow and it will not be able to be explained. There will be a desire for My Spirit. Those that do not repent of a religion that denies My Spirit in the earth will not embrace My covenant plan or people in the future. I have chosen Israel as the deciding factor in the earth. Those who do not acknowledge Israel's place in the earth will not understand the place that I have prepared for them in days ahead."
If there is one thing that we need to ask the Lord to forgive us for – it is the quenching and grieving of Holy Spirit in the earth.

I know many of us are in holiday at the moment but the exciting thing is this! I have noticed that many of you are praying for London and hearing God about protecting and praying for London in these days. Thank you so much for all your response. This week I have selected the following responses for you to read.

Accountable to the leaders of Caterham Community Church
I have felt a strong sense to pray protection for shopping centres in and around London. I also felt a call to pray for the protection of churches. I have been praying about the London bombings and attempted bombings. In the last few days I have had a burden to pray even more because there is more coming. I feel that what is coming may be a direct attack on the Christian community of London. I believe there will be an attempted attack on churches during worship times.
I believe the enemy is trying very hard to bring about "The End Time" before it's time. I believe there will be an attempt to start a religious war, which the enemy is hoping, will spread across the globe - the politics is just a smoke screen. We need to pray against this - it is not time for the end yet and many lives are at stake. The Lord is about to bring in a major harvest and the enemy is bent on destroying it before the churches bring it in. I was wondering if there should be a wider call to prayer. Please send out a call to pray against such attack if you feel it is right.
I think we are living in significant times. Eccl.11:1 "Cast your bread upon the waters, for after many days you will find it again. Give portions to seven, yes to eight, for you do not know what disaster may come upon the land." (NIV) It is a time in which the church will arise and shine and stand in unity against this evil, by God's mighty power. We need to be casting our prayers upon the waters, we will find answers, we need to support the body of Christ at this time in all areas especially prayer.... what we sow in prayer will come back to us when we will need it most. I had a very Vivid dream about 6 days ago about London, I used to Live in London and indeed my Dad was born there anyways I had a dream about a Bombing on the underground and it was very Vivid the line that it happened on was the East London Line ....this lines does exist in real life its a very small line and on the London underground map it is a orange coloured line now it is very intresting as East London has a High Population Of Muslims
Now I'm not saying this was from the lord maybe it was I dont know, thats why I'm emailing you about it But East london has a High population of Muslims is the lord showing me to Pray for the East London Line is this where the Next bomb will take place I dont know - I dont know if this is Just a dream or if this a dream from the lord I did actually over a year ago have a dream about the popes death .

"It was like God just came down and ripped off the roof" was one man's testimony after witnessing a rare tornado in the centre of Birmingham, England, Thursday.
It's very rare that you get tornados in the UK particularly in a city centre in the middle of summer. I find it interesting that this happened the week that one of the London bombers was caught in Birmingham. Birmingham is home to one of the largest asian and muslim populations in Britain. Pray that the wind of the Holy Spirit will hit the streets of Birmingham, England.

Nineteen people have been injured - three seriously - as a tornado ripped through the streets of Birmingham.
The storm hit with very little warning "It all happened in just a couple of minutes. There is a tree through a car and trees on houses - it looks like something from a film set."
A Met Office spokesperson said: "From the reports we have heard we would estimate that this is a tornado with a rating of T3-T4, that would mean it had wind speeds of between 93-114 mph for T3 and 114-130 for T4.
"A typical description would be that motorcars were lifted and destroyed, roofs removed from buildings and weak buildings destroyed.
"We have an average of 33 reports of tornadoes in the UK each year but these are especially rare in built-up areas and there has not been one of this strength in many years.
"City centres are not the natural habitat of a tornado; the tall buildings would normally stop their formation."

A Word For Intercessors
I am calling you to a deeper level of intercession. I desire for you to humble yourselves on your knees. Humble yourself to me and get on your face. Come to My throne room, as that is where I will meet you. I will meet you
where you are now, but My desire is for you to come closer. Come deeper,step into My dwelling place.
Now I need My warriors to cry out for justice. Cry out for those things you have desired. Cry out for My people to be set free from sickness, poverty, death -- for freedom. You are the intercessors I have called. Travail is now.
Now is the time, now is the season. Mighty warriors never give up or lose hope, so send up the war cry.
Go to your prayer closet. I have been calling you in there for some time now. I stand there waiting to show you My secrets. I stand there calling you by name. You know it is I who calls you because you know My voice. You hear
the Shephard when He cries and calls for His sheep. Be careful little one, for when the sheep don't heed to the shepherd's voice, the wolves stand close, watching, waiting, salivating out of their mouths. Those sheep that
don't adhere to My voice are the ones who will be taken down first. Don't allow yourself to become like the weak sheep. I will only keep you for so long before I will allow you to have your way.
Tune your spirit to hear My voice more clearly. Come to Me when I call you. Gather together with other warriors and come against the attacks of the enemy. For when two or three come together touching and agreeing on anything, I am in their midst. So come together all who are of one mind and one accord. You have the power to counteract the attacks of the enemy. Go forth, mighty warriors, declare and decree. Pray the scripture. Pray without ceasing, for faith without works is dead. Call forth things that aren't as though they are. Use the power of prayer. Break out the anointing oil. Till the grounds that are fallow. Tear down the strongholds and build up My Kingdom.

7th July 2005 a tragic day for London - terrorism - more than 50 killed in London.
21st July 2005 - Thank God for mercy - 4 more bombs detonate in London, but charges don't explode ... this time no one is hurt ... "extraordinarily fortunate!" claims a bomb disposal expert. Is Prayer over London - our supernatural protection ... Thanks for your mercy Jesus. Thanks to intercessors in the UK and worldwide on behalf of Londoners.
KEEP THE PRAYER SHIELD UP THAT THE PLANS OF THE EVIL ONE WILL BE THWARTED. PLEASE PRAY FOR THE POLICE FOR BREAKTHROUGH AGAINST TERRORISM.

G8 Prayers for world leaders and justice for the poor

What attitude should we have toward World Leaders?
God loves these world leaders. We want their decisions to be a blessing to the world. They cannot be a blessing unless they are blessed. Our prayer for them personally is that God will release wisdom and understanding and courage to do what is right in God's sight. We are not coming against flesh and blood. Our heart attitude determines the effectiveness of our prayers. Our prayers can either release the Lord's hand or strengthen the enemy's! The power of life or death is released through the tongue - Proverbs 18:21.
Our aggressiveness in prayer comes against the spiritual demonic forces who desire to blind and manipulate these leaders for destructive purposes.
Prayer
God has invested in us authority by which we may determine the destinies of nations and governments. We are expected to use it. Perhaps the most outstanding example in the Bible that gives light to this is from Jeremiah 1:10,
See I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms to root out and to pull down and to destroy and to throw down and to build and to plant'.
The goal of our prayers is for the government of God to come upon these world leaders and determine their decisions so that 'His Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven' (Matt 6v10)
Many groups from around the world will be in prayer before and over the days of the G8. The exciting fact is that when, through our prayer and acts of obedience God changes the hearts of those in global governmental positions, then indirectly the destiny of all nations change. Let us take this opportunity and seek the Lord for the prayers that match 'His Intent' regarding this G8 global summit.
· Pray for each Head of State and their advisors (I Tim 2 v1-4) Pray that God will intervene in their opinions and the positions
they form over the major issues that will be on their agenda. As a help to prayer for the Heads of State download photos of
each and keep them in your bible as a reminder. Names and photos of each attending Head of State can be found on the websites mentioned above.
· Set aside the days of 6th-8th July to focus on prayer. There will be several national and international prayer movements joining together to pray over these days.

• The G8 forms the most powerful annual gathering of Heads of State • They represent the majority of the UN Security Council • They are the main financial givers to the World Bank and International Monetary Fund • They control 95% of the world's nuclear arsenal and can dominate all the other global governmental organisations
These global government summits emphasise the principle that 'power attracts power'. When the G8 is held it always draws other power groups to its doorstep e.g. in past G8s over 100,000 protesters, 2000-3000 media, international occult groups, 20,000 security personnel. There is a high level of tension during a summit.

In Edinburgh 24/13 29th June-10th July. Local churches will be joining in 13 days of prayer cover. Pray for God to raise up those to take part and for people to be able to get to the venue Salvation Army City Corp Building, East Adam Street, Edinburgh
In Gartmore near Stirling 24/3 6-8th July where over 120 people from UK and overseas are meeting for 3 day worship and prayer summit to pray for the G8 leaders and the agenda.

"Cry out, cry out, turn back to me" says the Lord." God I cry out for my nation right now. Turn us and we will be turned. Change our hearts and forgive us for the wickedness that we have allowed to come forth. Remember your promises and heal our land . Remember the prayer's of your people, come quickly and answer us. Forgive us for our iniquity and break the power of wickedness and witchcraft in our country. Shake everything that can be shaken oh God. Forgive your church for it's apathy. Raise up dread champions from within, who will confront with a strong anointing, the deeds of darkness. Break the power of deception and the religious spirit that is over your church. Change the government oh God. Lord I pray that you will fall upon Tony Blair right now and his cabinet. Convict them of sin and lukewarmness. I pray that you would use George Bush to speak into his life concerning you. Do not forgot the labour's and the promises that you gave to saints there in years gone by. Fulfill the destiny that you have for this nation oh God, for your names sake I pray. Amen.

Prayer for the Youth
Father in Jesus name we come before your throne room of grace as you have instructed us in Scripture because of the blood of Jesus that was shed for us. We thank you for the youth of England. Lord we thank you for the great fire and zeal you have placed within many of them. Yet Lord we see these qualities used for all the wrong reasons today in pursuit of something that will never satisfy their hearts. Lord many of the youth are empty and are searching for their identity Lord and because of this the enemy has preyed upon them. But Lord we take a stand against the enemies plans for Englands youth. We stand in agreement and take authority over the demonic spirits that have been sent to draw the youth into drugs, sexual sin, witchcraft and rebellion. Lord we repent on behalf of our children for all the wrong that they have done and pray that it would not be counted as a foothold against their lives. Lord we call forth your holy anointed youth to take cities, schools and communities for the kingdom. Lord we remember your word in Joel 2:28 that declares that our sons and daughters would prophesy. Lord we pray for an increased zeal and hunger for more of Christ. We break every curse of dullness and a passive spirit over the youth and we pray that the Holy Spirit fire would break forth from within and cause them to be mighty prayer warriors for you. We rend the veil in the spirit off of the eyes of every unsaved youth and pray that Lord Christ and the cross would become a reality to them. We pray a mighty conviction to come upon those that do not know you to come to know you. We call the prodigal sons back in Jesus name! Satan release them in the name of Jesus for they belong to Christ. We take them back for Jesus in Jesus name. Now Lord we prophesy the infilling of the Holy Spirit within every youth, that Lord they would not move with just power, but with HOLY SPIRIT power. You have said in 1 Corinthians 1:27 that God has chosen the foolish things of this world to put to shame the wise, and Lord many have declared that our youth have lost direction, that there is no hope. Yet Lord we speak by faith and we declare that there is hope. We pray that Lord you would take the youth and use them to put to shame the wisdom of this world. That Lord the nation would not see a group of young people but fiery soldiers of Christ moving in the power of the Holy Spirit. This we declare for our youth Lord. We nullify and bring to naught all that the enemy has planned for the destruction and distraction of the youth. We thank you that you are fulfilling your word via the Prophet Joel. We thank you that Lord what we have prayed and prophesied over our children shall come to pass. Once again we declare that the youth of England shall no longer be called the X-generation, but the Jesus generation of warriors, kings and priests who shall rule and reign with you in high places. Lord we have prayed by faith and we know that it is by faith that it shall be accomplished. We cancel every word of negativity, every word spoken in unbelief and contrary to what the Word of God says about our children, we cancel those words in Jesus name. We bind every spiritual principality and power that has been set over the youth of England and we declare with bold authority that the youth of England belong to Jesus. Father we thank you, we bless you and praise your holy name for it in that name, the name that is above EVERY name, that name Jesus that we indeed pray and believe by faith.Amen. Spiritual Warfare - how to be part of the winning team
Isaiah 61:1 The spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord has anointed me; he has sent me to announce good news to the humble, to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to captives, release to those in prison.
In entering into the battle against the forces of darkness to set the captives free, we need to take great care how we handle ourselves. In a normal cell situation during a time of discussion, worship and ministry everyone relaxes and says what they think freely.
When dealing with spiritual warfare we must be wise to the fact that we are dealing with real opposition that, although conquered by Jesus' sacrifice, does continue to try to out-manoeuvre us, bringing destructive consequences. The most devastating is divisiveness, our unity must be held if are to stand up to the enemy effectively.
Matthew 12:25
Knowing what was in their minds, he said to them, `Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and no town or household that is divided against itself can stand. 26:And if it is Satan who drives out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then can his kingdom stand?
Although watchful for opportunities the enemy cannot trap us if we are operating against Him under the cleansing blood of Jesus and with the authority of the church, using the Word of God to serve notice to encamped forces, under the anointing and specific guidance of the HOLY SPIRIT.
To hold such a united position of strength we must place ourselves in the fortress of God's protection, the only position to gain us an assured victory.
Psalm 91:1
1 He who lives in the shelter of the Most High, who lodges under the shadow of the Almighty, 2:says of the Lord, `He is my refuge and fortress, my God in whom I put my trust.' 3:He will rescue you from the fowler's snare and from deadly pestilence. 4:He will cover you with his wings; you will find refuge beneath his pinions.
