New Life Church Ministries
|
an annual two day women's conference to praise and worship God and minister to all the women who attend. Their compassion and caring helps shows the community the importance of leading a Christ like life in ministering to those who are in need.
Prison and Jail MinistriesOur prison and jail ministry reaches out to those behind bars, with the Love of Jesus Christ. We pray to show them how the Word of God can change their lives. Our prison and jail ministry allows us to tell the incarcerated that there is only one way a man can truly be free and that is through a personal relationship with our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ. As a part of our jail ministry, Project New Start donates Bibles to eveyone who needs one so they can have the living Word of God with them at all times. |

Nursing Home MinistryWe visit the rest homes in this area. We meet at Newport Healthcare to minister to the residents there the last Saturday of each month at 1:30 pm. If you have a friend or family member in a rest home in the Newport Arkansas area, please let us know if they would like for us to minister to them. Our mission is to be taking the gospel to facilities where residents are no longer able to attend church, thus providing an opportunity for the elderly to assemble themselves together in love and fellowship while offering a time to worship and receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. The resdients at nursing homes have given so much of their lives to our local communities. It is such a wonderful blessing to talk to people who have so many experiences in life and give them a kind word and a smile and give something back to those who have given so much to us. |

Praise & Worship TeamOur Worship Team's job is to lead the congregation into worship of Almighty God. Psalms chapter 150 tells us to worship Him with song and praise. Kai and Tonya Haley have been called to lead people into the presence of God and we are seeing God move often during our praise and worship. Tonya, a number of years ago asked God to give her the talent to play the keyboards and He anwsered. Tonya has been playing for the Lord for 25 years. Kai has been playing music virtually all the years of his life and has for the past 16 years dedicated his playing for the Lord. Our worship team glorifies God with traditional hymns and contemporary songs. Kai & Tonya have also written original selections to bring glory to His name. |

God's Storehouse, Our Weekly Food BankGod's Storehouse is affliated with the food bank of Jonesboro, Arkansas. We have a small room set aside in the church for food the storage of food. A 5,000 SF separate building for food storage and distribution is currently under construction and should be completed by late fall. Part of the concrete slab for the foundationhas been poured. With this new facility we will better be able to meet the need of the hungry in our area. Part of this new building will also be dedicated for a clothing ministry, the Shepherd's Closet, where we will be able to provide free clothing to all the needy children in our area. We help families who are in need of food assistance on Wednesdays between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. We are feeding around 250 people a month. Anyone that would like to contribute food or donate money for food to help feed the needy in this area, please contact us. |

| Hospital Ministry We visit hospitals wherever we go. One hospital, in general, in the Newport area that we visit is the Harris Hospital. We pray, visit and encourage those who are sick. Please let us know if you have a friend or family member in this area that you would like for us to visit and share the Word of God. As it is in written in the 25th Chapter of Matthew, we should visit the sick, pray for them and give them an uplifting visit. |

| Evangelism Team We have an evangelism team. We are reaching out to help those addicted to drugs, alcohol, grief stricken and depressed. Our goal is to show everyone that anything is possible with God. We hold Breakthrough Meetings on Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. and Bible studies on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Anyone that wants to come and participate or reach out to others in some way, please come and join us. Mark 16:15 tells us, "And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature." The purpose of the evangelism ministry here at New Life Church of God is to equip church members to be compelled to go out into the community and encourage those who are lost to return unto God upon hearing the Gospel. Every member is a minister, a servant of our Lord. |
