![]() Travel and Student ExchangeProgram
![]() gives chances Ukrainian orphans ages 6-16 to the United States to participate in and cultural exchange with and American host family, and community. This exchange allows children to have a better understanding of American life in regards to family and community and gives the child, as well as the American families,a chance to learn first-hand about other cultures. We encourage volunteer host families who have a genuine desire and interest to host an international student. Our students participate in orientations to help them prepare for exposure to a different culture. Host families are not paid; they host our students to learn about another culture, to share their life with a student from another country, and to reap the many other benefits of hosting. Host families and their children really enjoy the opportunity to learn first-hand about another culture while sharing their own culture with the student. Host families are expected to provide room and board and to treat the child as a family member, not as a guest. We also ask that families try to involve the child in as many social activities as possible, so that he/she may get the most out of his/her exchange experience. It is our profound hope to see every potential change in living standards and opportunities that a child and host family will have a pleasant and memorable experience. Host family Requirements: State Police Criminal Background Check from State. Child Protective Services Central Registry Search from State. Home Study. Families who can host 10 children and two guardians in a geographic are in for 30 days. We look forward to hearing from you and sharing more information with you about the joys of hosting an orphan and exchange student. ![]() |
