"TEACH ME LORD" and "THANK YOU JESUS"
|
Teach me Lord to follow you……And humbly walk your way
Guide me down your righteous path……Don’t let me go astray
My walk may not be steady……I may stumble, I may fall
Help me Lord to stand right up……And give to you my all
Teach me Lord just how to love……Thy neighbor and thy foe
To love them unconditionally……Where ever I may go
Your love is an example……Of how to treat each other
So help me Lord to pass that love……On to another brother
Teach me Lord to obey your rules……The commandments you have given
But if I fail and break a rule……I pray that I’m forgiven
You know that I’m not perfect……But I’ll strive to do my best
And if I sin against you Lord……Forgive me when I confess
Teach me Lord forgiveness……When a wrong is done to me
Give me the strength that’s needed……To forgive and be set free
So when someone tries to hurt me……When at me they attack
Teach me Lord forgiveness……And In how I may react
Teach me Lord to be humble……Be submissive to your will
And not to gripe and grumble……But to listen and be still
Don’t let pride stand in my way……I have so much to do
Don’t let me boast when I am done……For all works come from you
Teach me Lord how I’m to pray……my mind has gone astray
Sometimes I’m at a loss for words……And don’t know what to say
So if I sit in silence……And don’t know where to start
I hope that you will listen……Hear what is in my heart
I‘m but a growing Christian……the bread of life I yearn
Teach me Lord I‘m asking……I have so much to learn

Thank you Jesus for all you’ve done
For the life you have given for me
For the sacrifice you gave on the cross
Up on the hill of Mt. Calvary
You endured all the lashings and beatings
You knew that this had to be
You accepted your fate and hung on the cross
All the while you were thinking of me
Your blood that was shed on that fateful day
Is the blood that has cleansed me within
The day I accepted you Lord of my life
You washed me and forgave all my sins
So I thank you again my dear Jesus
For the life you have given for me
It’s because of the greatest love ever
That I can claim victory!!!
