The spring of my life has sprung,
And summer too is gone.
I’ve traveled through the autumn,
And straight ahead I see,
The winter of my life is waiting there for me.
But at the end of the journey,
Only joy forever more,
When I meet Jesus, on heaven’s glorious shore.
Lillian Carol Russell 1980's

This was in a younger day, long before my hair turned gray and wrinkles like old friends came to stay.

Would I go back and live it all over again? No, I choose to go on in spite of the pain.

The road on which I travel is heaven-ward bound and I would not want to slow it down.

"Butch" Andrus Russell

Husband and soul mate, this picture also taken in the 80's. We were born in 1944

The first time I saw him

we were only age ten.

I had my first case of butterflies then.

God meant for me to love him,

and I did right from the start

Soul to soul and heart to heart.

Our daughter, son-in-law and our three grandchildren. the reason we decided to pull up roots and move to Texas. A decision we are so glad that we made!

Our son who lives too far away, wish he were here in Texas too.

My sister Stella
I only have one sibling, she had a close brush with death having spent 3 months in a coma along the time this picture was taken around 1949. She has no children but has devoted her life to helping others by taking care of sick relatives, more than I can count and she is still at it to this day.
A work in progress
This is my first attempt at sculpture, done August of 2005. I love working in clay.
