What is the answer???
|
In my search for God I wanted facts. I listened to people tell me what they believed but soon dismissed them when what they told me could not be experienced by me. I thought in my heart, surely a (the) Supreme Being can do anything He wants. Why would He not reveal Himself to His creation? No matter what book I picked up (Studies on Buddha, Mohammed, Hindu, Mormon, New Age, etc.) ... no matter how much I sought to find the true God, I could not find Him in books written by man. The only hope I got was when I read the Bible (the only truly Holy Spirit inspired work) and in its beginnings men talked with God. Oh how I longed to talk with God. Then in the new testament, I found out that my loving heavenly Father sent His Son Jesus to restore us (all mankind) back to God because man was separated from God by his disobedience and sin. Jesus was Gods love come to earth to suffer and die (pay our penalty) and reconcile fallen man back to our Father God. In the bible I found that this "Jesus came to save us from this world, our fleshly lusts, and a very real evil force called the devil. In the book of Acts I read that Jesus went about doing good and healing all those oppressed by the devil". I had to learn more about this wonderful God and Jesus the Savior of the world. I started to attend an wonderful church, got saved, and signed up (volunteered) for everything. If the church doors were open...I was there. I was a thirsty sponge and wanted to soak up all of God that I could get.
One night in 1983 I had a dream. I was floating in space high above the earth. I could see the stars in all their glory. As I was enjoying this beautiful scene, I saw a light closer to me than anything else and I began to move toward it like I was falling into it. Fear and apprehension was beginning to overwhelm me. But the closer I got to the light the more love, warmth, and secure I felt. What was this marvelous thing? All of a sudden I heard a voice come from the light saying "Whom do you say that I AM"? Instantly I answered without thinking "Its you Lord". Wham! I hit the light and awoke from my dream. I shook my bewildered wife awake (It was 2:30am) and told her every detail of my dream. She grabbed her bible and turned to Matthew chapter 16:15-17. There was the answer to my question of all questions. Jesus turns to Peter and asks him the same question. "Who do you say that I AM?" Peter answered correctly and said, "Thou art the Christ the Son of the living God." Jesus answered and said, "Blessed are you Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you but my Father who is in heaven." There it was. God had just spoken to me in a dream in answer to my yearning hearts cry. I wept. I was so grateful. Thank you Jesus was all I could say over and over again.
Two weeks later the Pastor announced that some foreign missionaries were coming to our church from all over the world and they needed lodging. We volunteered to keep two. The next day they arrived and as we got our two and started for the house, the leader (from Christ Church, New Zealand) said that God had directed him to share something in the bible with the couple with whom he would be staying. Great! I exclaimed, We shall sit at the kitchen table and Paula will make some tea. Then we will be your attentative listeners. We sat at tea this evening and the young evangelist opened his bible to Matthew 16:15 and began to read "Who do you say that I AM?" I screamed! Wow, I just had a dream about that verse, and God has sent a fellow from clear the other side of the world to confirm my dream. Wow , I have found Him, I have found the truth. I have found God...and He SPOKE to me.
Through the years God has reveled Himself to me many times in many different ways in spite of my short comings. John 1:19..."In the beginning was the Word and the word was with God and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory, full of grace and truth." He came not to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved. The bible says that no one can come to God unless the Holy Spirit draws them. Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life; and no one comes to the Father except through me." Jesus stands at the door of everyone’s heart and knocks...Will you let Him come in today?
Pray this simple prayer and ask Him to come in....
Father God, In Jesus name, I know that I have sinned and have come short of your perfect standard. Father in Jesus name, I ask you to forgive me and I choose to forgive every person in my life that has ever wronged me. I have tried my way and it hasn't worked. Dear Jesus I choose to follow you and I ask you to come into my life and change me. Make me the person of God you made me to be. My desire is to be full of your love, Jesus, full of your joy, full of your peace, and most of all righteous and holy in everything I think, in everything I say, and in everything I do. Thank you now for saving me; body, soul, and spirit. Thank you for your love, your grace, and your mercy. I ask you now to use me from this day forward as a tool and instrument in your hand to fulfill your plan and purpose for my life in the earth today. Lord I believe your word is true and that you have sent your precious Holy Spirit to fill this temple that has been cleansed by your precious Blood and... In that light I now choose to "walk in the Spirit and not follow after the lusts of the flesh. The hope of Glory resides in me. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. I am now a true Christian ( Christ man ) It is no longer I that live but Christ (Gods Holy Spirit ) lives in me. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Where I go; God goes...What I say; God says...What I do; God does because I am a yielded vessel full of Gods Holy Spirit.
If you prayed that prayer today and really meant it you are saved and if you died tonight, you will go straight to Heaven to be with your Lord and Savior Jesus who sits at the right hand of the Father ever to make intercession for us.
WHAT MAKES CHRISTIANITY DIFFERENT FROM EVERY OTHER RELIGION IN THE WORLD?
In the book of Acts in Antioch we were first called Christians. Why not people of the way? Why not Yashuans? Why not Jews or etc.
The word Christ means anointed one. What makes something anointed? Does God have to be in it or on it or around it to be anointed? Many believe it was because Paul preached that Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in us.
Jesus said in John 14:16 "And I will pray the Father and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever...the spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him: but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you." Glory! Christ in you the hope of glory...God comes to dwell in you. His purpose is to make you the finest example of Himself the world has ever seen. Why? "Because we are crucified with Christ, never the less we live, yet not I but Christ liveth in me.""Know ye not that you are the temple of the Holy Spirit." Where you go God goes, what you say God says, what you do God does. Jesus said that we are bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh and that He is the head and we are His body. He is in us and we are in Him. We are not our own. We were bought with a bloody price. Just as Jesus talked with the Father and did nothing but what he saw in the spirit the Father do so we are also to be so in tune with Jesus that we walk like Him, we talk like Him, and even greater things will we do because of who is in us...We as true Christians are one with our God. Bless His name!
The true Christian should be the most supreme example of Jesus in the earth today. How can the true Christian not be the wildest kind of optimist. In him dwells the King of the Universe. In the child of God is Jesus /HS and everything we need. GLORY TO GOD!!!
No Mohammed ever did that...no Buddha ever came into anyone, certainly no Mormon cult twisting the truth ever got anything from God. Some Hindu think pain is the way to truth and will lie on a bed of nails to suffer for their inconsistencies. Jesus took our pain and our sufferings so that we wouldn't have too. In fact He healed all who came to Him. New Age Crystals are just shinny rocks with no power. Islam rewards their followers who kill infidels (Jews and Christians) and die for their god Allah. The Christian God (Jesus) gave His life (He died on the cross) that we might have life and that more abundantly. He died for us and in His last breath He prayed ("Father forgive them for they know not what they do.") for all men no matter their race, color, or social status. Which God do you want to serve? The God of love who died for you or the god who wants you to die for him by killing and destroying innocent people.
The true Christian is a Christ man or Christ woman. The true Christian walks in love, joy, peace, goodness, kindness, longsuffering, forgiveness, temperance, mercy, and faith. The true Christian is salt and light to a lost and dying world. The true Christian guards the gates of his temple from all evil with the help of the Holy Spirit and will not compromise. If he does sin then he repents and asks the Lord to cleanze him from all unrighteousness. Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world...Glory to God!
My hope is in Jesus; My healing is in Jesus; My strength is in Jesus; He has become for us...Wisdom from God, righteousness, santification and redemption.1Cor.1:29..Glory!

Fulfilling Jesus' command to go into all nations!An awesome miracle has happened and the world news missed it. A small band of Tuned in, turned on, fired up men and women of God went to the mission field in Mosenbique Africa and thousands of Muslim unbelievers came to know Jesus as Lord, Savour, Healer, Deliverer, Provider, and soon coming King. Many sick were instantly healed. All who went on this trip are changed forever. They now have such a hunger and thirst for God as never before. May the Lord richly bless all those who have sacrificed and contributed to make this trip a reality. We especially pray that all your needs be met acording to His riches and glory through Christ Jesus. |
