Science: Grades 5,6,and 8
Science 5: This week we investigated elements. We learned the history of the periodic table, the periodic table itself, and the structure of the atom.
Science 6: This week we investigated the useful properites of matter. We used paper as an example and did a series of investigations involving the strength of paper, the ability to absorb water, its ability to disintegrate, and its ability to repel water.
Science 8: We did a cooperative lab this week involving the greenhouse effect. We gathered data and made conclusions to determine if the greenhouse effect is responsible for global warming.
