God's Free Gift
The Bible tells us:
1. That all people are sinners;
Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
2. That sin leads to death;
Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
3. That God loves us and He provided a way of salvation for us;
Romans 5:8 says, "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
4. That salvation is available to all who believe in Jesus;
Romans 10:13 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
5. That salvation comes through believing in Jesus and confessing Him as Lord;
Romans 10:9-10 says, " That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Again, very little in this world is truely free, but Jesus gives us the gift of eternal life, and through His word shows us how simple it realy is.
