Community Christian School
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE SINCE 1980
Serving our community since 1981. Providing education for preschool through eighth grade. Community Christian School seeks to develop in the student, a world view of God as the center of all things about the human existence. Gives a unified world view helping to provide a sense of security and a foundation of hope and knowledge important for encouraging students to a positive identity and sense of purpose and value.
The commitment and sincerity with which our teachers and staff care for students, demonstrates servant leadership, warmth and security and deep desire to help each student grow to become able to reproduce love, sincerity and compassion learned at CCS. As our 2007 valedictorian stated, she wants to share with others the care and knowledge of the teachers who taught and shared so much with her here at CCA.
Many of Community Christian School graduates found their way to academic honors in the Senior High schools of Amador county, fifteen of our students were honored in 2007 at Amador High School's awards ceremony. Community Christian School's Stanford Achievement Tests resulted in a consistently positive score for our students. In 2007 our graduation class had scores in the 70% in all subjects but math, where they scored in the 90th percentile.
Private schools in general, have consistently produced more well-balanced, goal and mission minded students with knowledge and perserverance to accomplish and grow in their education and life skills.
We are affiliated with Association of Christian Schools International.
The mission of Community Christian School, a ministry of Community Church, is to educate and develop the whole student for the glory of God. The school adheres to a Christ centered curriculum administered in a disciplined, caring atmosphere. CCS addresses educational practices from a Christian perspective, encouraging the student to be a productive, responsible citizen with a dynamic Christian worldview. Education being the pursuit of truth is provided in the context that Jesus Christ is the absolute truth. The ends are to facilitate the development of the child spiritually, academically, psychologically and socially.
WHAT WE PROVIDE
We are building electives for all grades to include art, theater, music and sports. Our seventh and eight grades participate in mission outreach. The sixth grade class travel to the ghost town of Bodie to learn more about early California history. The fourth grade class travel to Coloma for a weed-end of a learning adventure.
OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES
We belive God wants us to know Him through the scriptures and in all ways learn about Him through discovering His creation in Math, Science, Literature, History and sports participation.
