Jackson Tn 9-25-2008 ~ Bishop C. P. Vandiver passed away at a little after 9am wednesday Sept. 24, 2008 Please Pray for the family and the Church Of God in Jackson Tn. He was a great man of God, a true soldier of the cross. he served many great years as pastor of the Church of God in Jackson Tn. and helped many find there way to the lord. he will be dearly missed by family friends and all that knew him and loved him again we Ask that you pray for the Family and the Church in Jackson Tn.

"IF THE ALTER COULD TALK"

The first altars in the bible that we read of were just piles of stones. People built altars and gave sacrifices to the living God. The altar was a place where sacrifices, gifts, and prayers were given up to God.
Today some churches don't even have an altar in their church so therefore not much praying, giving gifts, and sacrificing is going up to God. Sometimes I wonder if the altar could talk what would it say. Many soul sick sinners have knelt to pray there. There are many more that need to make an altar and pray to God for salvation. So let's be sure where our altar is and use it. If the altar could talk, it would be able to say many prayers and tears have been left here
