You Can Go to Heaven
|
Not everyone goes to Heaven when they die. Just being a good person or being a church member is not enough. Only people who are in God's family enter Heaven.
To be in God's family you must receive Jesus Christ.
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name. JOHN 1:12 NKJ
If you receive Jesus, you become a child of God. Romans 10 tells you how.
That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation. ROMANS 10:9-10 NKJ
Jesus died for you
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. JOHN 3:16 NKJ
God loves you and wants you to be in His family. That is why Jesus suffered punishment the sin of all mankind. Jesus did nothing wrong. He did not deserve to suffer. He died in your place, so you could be forgiven and join God's family.
Eternal Life
And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 1 JOHN 5:11-12 NKJ
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. ROMANS 6:23 NKJ
Eternal life is a gift -- not something you have to try to get. When you receive Jesus, you receive eternal life.
Pray This Now
Dear Father God,
I come to You in the Name of Jesus to receive salvation and eternal life. I ask You to forgive me of all the sins that I have committed against You. According to Romans 10:9-10, I believe that Jesus is Your Son and that He died on the cross for my sins. I also believe that You raised Him from the dead.
Jesus, I ask You to come into my heart right now to become my personal Lord and Savior. I confess right now that according to the Word of God, I am saved and "born again". I know that if I died right now, I would go to be with You in heaven. Jesus, please help me to live the remainder of my life for You, as a child of God. Thank You Lord. In Jesus' name. Amen.
Now begin to praise the Lord for your salvation. Thank Him for giving you eternal life with Him. The next step is to begin a daily walk with Him by learning His Word, by establishing a daily prayer relationship with Him and by finding a good church home where you can learn how to apply God's Word to your life!
