1-People who gossip give themselves away. They tell how they truly feel about someone, but tell everyone BUT them.
2-People who gossip don't want to know the truth. If they did they would ask the one involved.
3-People who gossip believe lies, WANT to believe lies, and persuade others to believe lies.
4-Gossip is censorship and gross injustice. The one involved has no right to defend themselves. Gossip is a Kangaroo Court.
5-People who gossip deceive themselves. They deny it is gossip by calling it by something else to justify it.
6-Gossip is conspiracy. "A plot by two or more people against..."
7-Gossip doesn't want to know "The rest of the story."
8-Because of judgmental attitudes, the one who gossips will avoid and alienate the subject of the gossip, believing lies. Usually, how much they gossip is proportional to how much they avoid them.
9-The one hearing the lie, then finding out the truth later on - will continue to cling to the original story, and will wind up still avoiding the one involved, since it's too humiliating to admit they were wrong. Subsequently, the subject of the gossip is the one who suffers alienation.
10-If you are carnally minded, your thinking will "Dovetail" with the mentality of the gossip system and it's whole network of lies. You will twist convenient pieces of any argument to support preconceived thinking.
11-Gossip sows seeds of mistrust. The ones involved cause the subject of the gossip to lose faith in them.
12-There is no accountability and no responsibility with gossip. A tabloid mentality says anything about anyone for any reason, and answers to no one.
13-However, gossip is worse than tabloid newspapers! At least with them, you can go to the local newsstand to find out what they are saying about you!
14-Gossip polarizes people. The gossiper winds up resenting the subject of the gossip, true or not.
15-Carnally minded people who hear the gossip know that it is a lie because they don't inconvenience themselves to find out the truth..
16-If they do hear "The rest of the story" they "Play the devil's advocate" against the victim.
17-Gossip is a "loyal" one way street. Mrs. A is loyal to Mrs. B. If you tell A something about B, she will check with B to verify it. But if they talk about YOU (an outsider), they will NEVER tell you what they said to verify anything. To question it would be for them to betray each other.
18-Gossip goes into denial by sticking to the original story, and grasping for straws to avoid truth.
19-Gossip has the uncanny ability of drawing more and more conclusions on less and less info.
20-When gossip reaches "Critical Mass", you have a lynch mob mentality. (Remember Rigoletto?)
21-Gossip has a "Built-it seeking mechanism". It gravitates toward those who promote it, and avoid those who expose it.
22-Gossip has a built-in protection mechanism:
a-Pride stands in the way of admitting that they gossip - so never find out the truth from "The horse's mouth".
b-Pride stands in the way of finding out the truth for fear they may have been wrong.
c-The more time goes by, the more cemented they are in their belief that it is true. Hitler once said "If you tell a lie long enough, people will believe it."
d-Pride stands in the way of apologizing to the subject that they drew conclusions without knowing all the facts.
e-The more loyal they are in their relationship, the more protected the gossip is. Just like the "Solemn oath" all the elephants took when gossiping about "Mrs. Jumbo and Dumbo". If the gossipers have a strongly established loyal tie with each other, the gossip is like protecting a secret oath.
23-Why is it when one gossips to another about a third person, it alienates that person. If they tell C what A said, they alienate themselves from A, if they tell A what B said, it alienates them from B.
24-Gossip uses sincere people unwittingly, causing lies to be more convincing, since those who hear them think they are the truth, and only perpetuate the scenario.
25-Gossip has the uncanny ability of benefiting the gossipers in areas of approbation, flattery, "mutual enemy society", all at the victim's expense.
26-After so much time goes by, people only have a general opinion of you (bad) w/o remembering the details and lies. Consequently, attempts to set the record straight is futile. (ie. The 10 O'clock news)
27-By taking part in gossip, in the final analysis you are an "Accessory to the crime".
28-Because of this, there is a "blackmail" protection built into it because each party can preventing them from "blowing the whistle" on each other.
29-The door is now wide open for gossip to have free reign. Once one gossip session is permitted, a precedent is now set for others - even sessions about YOU!
30-Beware! How much someone talks to you about others may be how much they talk to others about you!
There are other ways satan causes division, but gossip is one of the most destructive ones - and this principle is used in all walks of life, not just some flower circle of the local society club.
"Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;  Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift."
"Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.  And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.  But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.  The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.  Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.  But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.  And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.  And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.  So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.  Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:  Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?  And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.  So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses."
These passages display the magnitude and importance of forgiveness in the Christian walk. Irreversible damage can result in relationships in lawsuits as well. If you were to "sue" someone - for whatever reason, for whatever actions, for whatever detrimental injury they may have done to you - you may win the settlement in a court of law. But you know as well as I do that the relationship with that person is destroyed.
There is no option to practice forgiveness or reconciliation - at least not on your part. You are in a deadlocked relationship of unforgiveness with that person for the rest of your life, unless you practice the principle of forgiveness toward him by "dropping charges" against him, or forgiving him of the debt.
If the other person counter sues you in the process, you are both hopelessly locked in a bitter feud that is cemented in concrete. But if the person who you sued does not "retaliate", he still has the option available to him to forgive you.
The only people I know of who battle something out in a courtroom, and then take each other to lunch after - are the lawyers who represent the plaintiff and defendant! Why is that? Because they are not personally involved in the situation. They practice law, and are just doing their job to represent their clients. Personally, they have no ax to grind in the scenario. It is unfortunate that the clients who are bringing the action cannot say the same. They most likely will never speak to each other again.
12-Pride - "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!  For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:  I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.  Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit." Isaiah 14:12-15. We are constantly being deceived through the pride of life as man leans on his own understanding, rationalizing, and resulting in different teaching, beliefs, differing views about life, salvation, and eternity. Because of pride, we miss the most basic, elementary truths in life.
The truth is always there, but pride stands in the way of finding it.
The masses of humanity are inundated by witchcraft, humanistic thought, idolatry, obsessions and self worship, they are "seduced" by an ideology that has replaced God. It is the epitome of idolatry. The whole philosophy of "tolerance" promotes idolatry.
The Pride of Life is something inside of us that struggles to stay alive, and we think God says what we want Him to. Pride prevents us from coming to our senses - and you refuse to face the facts. You often go into denial. Here is an example: You are familiar with the time-tried and tested story. Your doorbell rings one night. You open the door and a policeman is standing there with your son. "Is this your son?" He asks. "Yes...is anything wrong officer?" "He was caught shoplifting." "Oh, no! Not my son. There must be some mistake!" There is a sense in which we go into denial to protect that god in our life...the epitome of the pride of life.
Space, Time, Gravity & Light
This demonstration is dedicated to simplifying abstract and complex ideas to a level just about anyone can understand. The latter part of that sentence is with "tongue in cheek", as it seems to have a familiar ring. I once bought a copy of "The Theory of Relativity, General and Special". Below it read "A simple explanation anyone can understand." You cannot believe the complex formulas I found throughout - and I took Calculus!
In any case, I will not do that to you. This explanation will be brought to a level a typical twelve year old can fathom: On the following pages, I will attempt to explain some amazing things about our Universe, about "what is space", "what is time", and "what causes gravity". There are some concepts that will absolutely astound you - such as those in scientific circles make, such as "Is it possible for an object to pass from point A to point B without transversing the space between? The answer is yes, and hopefully I will address that subject here. However, to begin, let us start with this question....
Space and time does not permit details, but it boggles the imagination how LIGHT, (called Photons) are given off by every single Hydrogen atom on the Sun's surface. One reason why it is so incredible is because photons are given off from atoms when electrons shift in orbits, exchanging places with other electrons, ejecting them out of their orbits. Yet hydrogen atoms contain only one proton, one neutron, and one electron. What is causing the photon to be emitted when the single electron cannot and does not change orbits? Electrons "oscillate" as they orbit the nucleus Although there is a lot of dead space in an Atom, the "mass" (protons, neutrons, electrons) of the atom dictate the path that time takes. That is, time is forced to find a way around the mass - a path of least resistance, yet the shortest way.
What can we tell about time?
On occasion, you have traveled down a road and approached a tunnel through a mountain?
The mountain illustrated above has a high peak. The reason for this is to illustrate something about time.
Just as you are traveling down a road, so time is "traveling" as well, but at 186,282 miles per second.
Time cannot pass through mass
Every Atom contains a lot of "dead space". If the proton or neutron was the size of a basketball, the electron would be about the size of a marble 20 miles away!
Although there is a lot of dead space in an Atom, the "mass" (protons, neutrons, electrons) of the atom dictate the path that time takes. That is, time is forced to find a way around the mass - a path of least resistance, yet the shortest way.
If you were to take a trip from California to New York, what would be the shortest way to go?
1-You could take direct intestates from state to state, finding the shortest way through each state.
2-You could take a plane, and fly, avoiding curves, turns, etc. - flying directly.
Although option #2 is better, it is still not the shortest way to get there.
The plane must take off, getting to 15,000 ft., and flying straight to it's destination. But it still is not the shortest way.
The curvature of the earth dictates the fact that any option we take is still not the shortest.
The shortest way from Cal. to NY is to start digging!
Digging a straight tunnel 3,000 miles is the only solution, and positively the shortest way.
However, our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren (who follow in our footsteps after we are gone), will still be digging!
So, when we talk about the "shortest way" from A to B, we are talking about 2 different things:
1-The shortest way by distance.
2-The shortest way by time.
When we look again at our tunnel (previous page), I mentioned that this mountain has a high peak.
This is to demonstrate something about the "shortest way" through the tunnel, for this is a strange tunnel indeed.
1-There is a blockage made of some material that the construction crew could not blast through, so they had to go OVER it to get to the other side (although still inside the tunnel).
2-When we look through this tunnel, it is like looking through some fiber optic cable. That is, even if the fiber optic was tied in a knot, or rounded curves, it would still appear to be "straight" through. That is why it appears "straight" even though it isn't.
If this road through this tunnel was some "time line", it would be similar:
1-Even though it had to find a way over some mass in it's way, it still found a "shortest way" to the other side, just as if it went straight.
2-The "time" it took to find a way through was still as fast as if it went straight. In fact, since time cannot pass through the mass of an Atom, there is therefore no "shorter way" to the other side.
3-The straight line time traveled was "warped" in such a way that "straight" loses it's definition when dealing with phenomenon such as this.
"Space tells matter how to move. Matter tells space how to curve."
These concepts are sometimes difficult to understand in a three dimensional world we live in. For this reason, I will tell you the story about a world where people had this same difficulty. It is called "Flatland".
As we look down on this civilization called Flatland, we can see that they are living on a ball, just like our earth. However, their thinking was similar to Columbus' crew who thought they would fall off the end of the earth if they went too far.
1-A world where a civilization lived - who were "flat".
a-Only dealt with length and width.
b-No concept of height (a third dimension)
2-Their vocabulary only had two-dimensional words.
Their bodies, minds, etc. had only two dimensions.
3-One day they tried an experiment:
a-Began walking a "straight" line to see what would happen if they went far enough.
b-Eventually wound up back where they started, yet had no idea how this could be possible.
c-They drew "straight" lines to form a triangle, with sides that were miles long. The fact that their "straight" lines were actually curved, (yet they didn't realize it), an important point needs to be made here. No matter how "straight" they tried to make lines, they were destined to draw curved lines in a three dimensional Universe.
d-They knew in "Plane Geometry" (Euclidean Geometry - the only Geometry they knew) that all angles in all triangles add up to 180 degrees.
e-Measuring the angles in these huge triangles began to bring out some strange results: The angles added up to 200, 235, 270 degrees - up to 537 degrees! (TRY IT!)
f-There was a point that they reached, drawing each side of these triangles. If they went any further, they would wind up "coming back around the other side".
Once they reached the limits of their "Universe"(a third dimension they could not comprehend), their mathematics not only lost definitions, contradicted their own math, but they realized the ultimate size and limit of it. Theoretically, they could draw triangles where each of the three angles were as much as 179 degrees EACH, totaling 537 degrees. Later, I will discuss some ramifications of this point, and some conclusions we can draw about our own Universe.
4-They did not have the slightest idea how or why this was true, but realized that whatever formulas they calculated with, they now had to figure in a "third" variable - to account for a "third" dimension!
a-They did not have the slightest comprehension of this third dimension, but
b-They knew it existed, and had to allow for it, to account for errors in their "limited" math.
Believe it or not, scientists who deal with the Universe around us have to do the same thing. Although they don't fully understand a "fourth dimension", it affects our mathematical world in three dimensions, so they multiply any quantities and results by the square root of minus one. Now, for you mathematical wizards, what is the square root of minus one? It is not minus one, for -1 X -1 = +1 It is not plus one, for +1 X +1 = +1
Scientists came up with a quantity that would not change the value of their results, yet was some mathematical figure outside of our math! This way, they could take into account a world beyond our own to remain consistent with results of calculations.
Suppose you had a friend who worked as an astronomer at some observatory. One night he discovered something new in the sky (some new comet, for example), and called you up to come and look at it through their telescope. But you live about one hour's drive away. He tells you that he has to leave, but will write down all the information you need to locate this new comet. X degrees longitude, X degrees latitude, and X miles away (three dimensional information)
You drive to the observatory, and find him gone. The information is there that he left, so you crank the telescope to the specifications he gave, but can't find the comet. Did he miss something? Did he overlook a 4th figure that must be calculated in? Yes. He did not account for the movement of the stars and galaxies that would change in the hour it took you to get there. This "4th dimension" is time. It is the other calculation in the universe that the 3 dimensions move through.
What Causes Gravity?
We have seen that time must find the shortest way around mass without going through it.
This is because it cannot pass through it. If we were to imagine time in the universe as some type of substance, we would see that any mass - planets, the sun, the stars - force time to "warp" around it. The phrase "time warp" is more fact than fiction!
It is like putting a bowling ball on a piece of foam rubber. The ball causes an indentation in the foam. As a result, anything coming close to it, (such as a smaller ball or marble) falls into it's "warp" and winds up in it's "orbit" (center left). Observing this in a three dimensional concept gives us the principle, although this "warp" is time - the fourth dimension - acting in all directions, affecting anything in it's orbit from any angle.
A collapsed star or "Neutron" star creates a "Black Hole", incredibly dense - so much that a teaspoon of it's mass weighs as much as the earth! These Black Holes create such a warp that the gravitational attraction is so great, light itself cannot escape it.
Almost 2,000 years ago, the famous philosopher Plato made the statement that heavy objects fall to the ground faster than light ones. No one questioned him because of his reputation, until Galileo dropped a couple of rocks off the Leaning Tower of Pisa in 1638, demonstrating to the world that all objects fall at the same speed (32 ft. per sec/ per sec.). This means that an object, regardless of its weight, falls 32 ft. the first second, 64 MORE ft. the next second, 96 MORE ft. the third second, etc. In a vacuum, a feather will fall at the same speed as any other object (fig. above). Einstein in his Theory of Relativity in 1916 brought out some brilliant insights about Galileo's discoveries, showing that the objects in question are not acted on by a "gravitational attraction" within the earth, but rather a force which affects all matter equally. One might liken it to a river current traveling at a certain speed. All objects in the river - whether an ocean liner or a ping pong ball - flow at the same rate downstream, acted on not by some attraction at the end of the river, but a force at the immediate vicinity of the objects.
Relativity and Gravity
Suppose you were on a train which was designed in such a way that it was one single continuous car from the front to the rear. You were at the front, and your friend was in the rear. The train is traveling in a straight line across the flat plains of the midwest. You are holding two helium balloons, one the size of a small ball, the other a huge beach ball. How fast are they traveling? 100 MPH. However, someone is standing on the ground outside as the train passes, and perceives you (and the balls) passing by at 100 MPH, but you perceive them as "standing still" - (from your viewpoint).
Now you let the balls go. Slowly at first, they begin to drift toward the rear of the train - perhaps 32 ft per second, for the sake of argument. The next second, they are BOTH drifting faster, 64 ft. per second - both at the same rate. They are both accelerating equally because there is not some force at the rear of the train pulling them back, but rather a phenomenon acting on them right where they are.
Eventually, they accelerate faster and faster, until (if the train was long enough to demonstrate this) they would eventually reach 100 MPH, flying past your friend in the rear of the train, and out the back. Now from the perspective of you and your friend, they eventually reach 100 MPH, but in reality, the person standing on the side of the track sees these two balls fly out the rear of the train, but not because they are now going 100 MPH, but because the TRAIN is going 100 MPH and is essentially "pulling away" from two stationary helium balloons over the track.
If you can grasp the concept being communicated here, you will understand something of the concept of gravity, and what is happening. Suppose one were to orbit the planet Jupiter, and were somehow able to hover high enough over it in his space ship. Then dropped a bowling ball out, permitting it to fall toward the surface, it would begin accelerating, faster and faster. At what speed would it reach before it could go no faster? There is no air resistance, and nothing to prevent it from accelerating. The answer to that question can only be answered if one was to ask "what is the speed of gravity?"
If you know what causes gravity, you know the answer to that question. Considering the fact that (over the earth) objects accelerate at 32 ft per second, per second. Each second, the object is accelerating 32 ft FASTER. For the object to reach a speed where it could go no faster, would take approximately 355 days. Calculate 32 ft. per second X 60 seconds (per minute) X 60 minutes (per hour) X 24 hours (per day) X 355 days. The answer: 186,282 MPS - the speed of light - also the speed of time.
This figure is about as unfathomable as PI - 3.141592... - a transcending number which has no end. But 186,282 miles per second (approx.) is a speed which not only is the speed of light, but...
1-Three things in the Universe travel at 186,282 MPS:
a-Light b-Time c-Gravity
2-The simplest experiment in the world can demonstrate some amazing things about these:
A-An object permitted to FREE FALL will demonstrate some characteristics:
1-Above the earth, it will accelerate at 32ft/sec/sec. The first second it falls 32 ft./sec. The next second, it falls 64 ft./sec. The third second, it falls 96 ft./sec, etc. If it had no air resistance, at what velocity will it reach, theoretically? 186,282 mps. We know this to be true, because of the relationship between time and gravitation. Space/time warp created by mass in the Universe creates the "warp" into which bodies of mass fall.
2-Permitted to free fall, any object will be "gravitated" toward mass. If one was on a traincar traveling in a straight line, and allowed a helium balloon to "free fall", it would eventually travel toward the rear of the train, and would eventually approach the speed the train is traveling at (from the observers standpoint). This logic demonstrates the fact that (from our perspective), gravity is traveling toward mass at 186,000 mps, but in reality, WE are the ones on a "journey"!
3-Knowing what we know about TIME in perspective to our existence, it reaches zero at the speed of light. Applying the above traincar experiment, we can conclude the same facts about time, and our perspective to it. In reality, WE are the ones on a "journey" through time.
"An experiment performed in 1966 in an accelerator at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland, verified this result, in which the travelers were unstable elementary particles called mu mesons confined by means of magnetic fields to move in circular paths with velocities 99.6 percent the speed of light. The returning muons were found to be younger--that is, to have decayed more slowly, than muons at rest in the laboratory. Thus, both experiments and a correct application of theory verify that there is no clock paradox."

4-Using "flatland" we can observe some interesting phenomena about our Universe:
A-The individual with his experiments in plane geometry finds that his mathematics is revolutionized when approaching the limits of his Universe:
1-Triangles that he draws total angles that increase in size as his triangles increase.
2-When he reaches the limits of the "third" dimension (which he does not understand, but knows it exists), he finds angles in the triangles that have totals approaching 540 degrees (although they never will). At the limits of his Universe, he finds he can draw two straight lines that connect each other at both ends, and have two angles totaling up to 358!.
B-The individual also finds that, as he approaches the limits of his Universe, he can find an infinite number of ways from point A to point B (on the opposite side).
5-Using "flatland" we can understand some amazing conclusions about our Universe:
Approaching the limits of our "fourth dimension" (time), we will theoretically be able to find an infinite number of ways from point A to point B. How can this happen? We see it demonstrated with LIGHT:
A-Since light travels at 186,282 mps, it has reached the limits of it's existence.
B-With this in mind, and based on what we observed about flatland, we can conclude that light can find an infinite number of ways from point A to point B. Light is traveling in a "STRAIGHT" line, in an infinite number of directions, throughout the Universe.
Note to the reader:
Much of the following information is based on findings described above, Einstein's theories and other speculations. Much of it is theory - since it has never been, and may never be able to be demonstrated or observed.
6-Light, time and gravity are creations of Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning (time-consciousness) God created the Heavens (existence) and the Earth (substance). All three travel at 186,282 mps, all three had an origin from the Atom, and all three are finding an infinite number of ways to the far corners of the Universe. This helps us understand something about the size and shape of the Universe. Everything will ultimately culminate at the "other end" of the Universe, in an instant, with the most unbelievable cataclysmic termination, as described in II Peter. "The heavens will melt with fervent heat, and the Universe will be rolled up like a scroll." (at the end of time). Observing flatland - his two dimensional world in a three dimensional Universe, we see that his Universe will ultimately culminate at the ultimate limits, just as ours will in the fourth dimension (time), which will be no more after the final event in Revelation 22.
The Unified Field Theory:
A-Since there is a direct relationship between the four forces that exist in the Universe; light, gravity, and the strong and weak nuclear forces,...
1-We find that we are "trapped" in an existence that we are bound to in a realm called "time".
2-We travel in space in "straight lines", but are trapped in an existence that we are bound to in a Universe that is shaped like a sphere. Mr. Flatland is destined to draw "curved lines", regardless of how straight he tries to draw them.
3-We travel in a Universe we observe as three dimensional, but theoretically, would eventually wind up where we started.
B-In Genesis 1:1, God created a realm for us to EXIST in (space), created a consciousness for us to perceive that existence (time), and a mass for us to live in (substance). Given the experiment I proposed at the outset, if we were permitted to have all three of the above to "free fall", what phenomenon would be observe? We would find that we live in a Universe that is traveling (from our perspective) at the speed of light. But in reality, (from God's perspective), He is standing still. He has only created a world for us to live in by His omnipotent ability to "fling" as it were, a Universe into existence, giving inhabitants the concept of space, consciousness and existence. It is all beside the point, or rather, "relative".
An Explanation of the Constant Speed of Light
In using the model above with you on the train with helium balloons, let us substitute a different model. Suppose, rather than having two helium balloons, you have a gun. However, this gun shoots bullets at 100 MPH. You aim it toward the rear of the train, just over your friend's shoulder (hopefully), and shoot your bullets out the back door. You and your friend perceive the bullets to be flying past, and out at 100 MPH. But in reality, the one standing motionless on the side sees the bullets simply motionless - ever since they left your gun, all the way through the train, and out the back, finally falling on the ground in front of him. In the truest sense of the word, the bullets didn't go anywhere. They simply came out of the barrel of the gun initially, but from that point, remained totally motionless to their resting place on the track in front of your friend.
In Genesis 1:1, God flung this Universe in motion - somehow beyond our comprehension - in space at the speed of light. Every light particle emitted from every single star and galaxy is only emitting particles that, to us appear to be going 186,282 MPS, but in reality are motionless.
Light particles "appear" to be traveling at 186,282 MPS. However, using the above model, we are able to understand at least in part, this fact: As we create a scenario, such as turning on a flashlight, just as the individual shot a bullet toward the rear of the train, the fact is that the light in essence, never went anywhere. All we are doing is permitting the photons to initiate from a source, pass by us and what we perceive as 186,282 MPS. But in reality, in God's realm, they are standing motionless, just as He is.
Suppose on the 4th of July, you demonstrate something with sparklers and flares. You are holding a sparkler in your hand and light it. The light particles are emitted from it and spray in a pattern coming from the sparkler at 10 MPH for example. However, you take the sparkler and wave it around you at 10 MPH instead. What is happening. The spray of light particles hover motionless over the ground as you wave the sparkler. Instead of creating a scenario where the spray of light is traveling at 10 MPH, you have provided the motion instead, leaving the light essentially motionless around you.
This is a crude illustration, but helps to understand the phenomenon taking place.
Space is an "illusion"
Our ability to move an object from point A to point B exists only because God provided a "place" for us to do so - called "space". From God's perspective, He is obviously not limited to space. Our ability to move about and live in a concept called time - exists only because God provided a concept called time to do so. From God's perspective, He is not limited to time, and exists in the present. Our ability to exist in a Universe which moves in "space" only exists because God provided it for us. In God's realm, He is not limited to, and does not exist in "space".
In the Unified Field Theory, the proposition is made that objects move from point A to point B without transversing the space between them. Not only is it possible to do this, but also, it is possible to move an object from point A to point B without transversing any TIME to do so either!
Not only is space an "illusion", but time is an "illusion" as well, and the Universe we exist in, called space, in the final analysis is just exactly that - nothing but empty space - composed of "nothingness", but must provide the existence for time and mass. I use the term in quotes in order to make a point. I do not imply that God is "deceiving" us with illusions. The point is that He provides a realm in which the human race can exist. At the end of Revelation - at the end of "time", He will roll up the Universe as a scroll, and time shall be no more.
The following illustration may help in understanding this phenomenon:
One can conceivable play an individual's entire life on a video tape. But it would not be an ordinary video tape as we might understand it. Rather, some futuristic "hologram" that we might find in Star Trek. Every event, every second of every day in his lifetime is experienced on this tape. At the end of his life, giving his last breath, he dies. The tape ends. The "tape" is ejected, and that entire life span is frozen in an instant. Any moment in that time frame is essentially the present in the final analysis. He only "experiences" the concept of time because he is bound by a realm created for him - a concept of consciousness, (time) an "existence" or realm to live in, (space) and a world to provide that existence, (substance-the Earth).
WHY does a gyroscope behave as it does?
Use of gyroscopes to demonstrate time
"The gyroscope acts according to the law of conservation of angular momentum. It will resist any attempt to change the direction of the axis about which the rotor turns. For example, as long as the wheel of a ground-based gyroscope is kept spinning at constant speed, its axis will continue pointing toward the position in the sky at which it was aimed when it started rotating. The gimbals, however, will change their angles relative to that point as the Earth turns. The angular momentum, or spin vector, points along the spin axis, whereas the direction of the applied force is called the torque vector. The gyroscope's motion in response to applied force is called precession."*

We have noted from the above the use of terms "angular momentum, spin vector, and precession". I don't mean to be outrageously elementary, but why does a gyroscope stay up? "Well", you may say "Because it is spinning, and when it slows down, it falls over." To the reader that replies with that kind of answer, I say to you "WHY does it stay up because it is spinning?" What does "spinning" have to do with it? I suppose you may accuse me of complicating the scenario, but believe, me, this question has puzzled me for years, and I have yet to find anyone who can answer it. That is not to say that someone isn't out there, but I just haven't found him yet.
Sooooo....I propose to answer the question myself with a theory and as I have said, to this date (April 26, 2002) I have not come across the answer. Based on some phenomena I have found on the concept of "time", I have come to realize that "time" is like some invisible "plasma" (for lack of a better word) in the Universe which has a definite effect on mass - and mass has an effect on time. It is the same with light - which we can observe - but we have dealt extensively with that subject.
Suppose you are standing neck deep in a pool or lake, and try to wave your arms back and forth. The water prevents you from doing so as easily or quickly as you might in the air. Although not as noticeable, your ability to wave your arms back and forth in the air is affected as well, compared to being able to do so in space above the earth (because of air resistance).
One phenomena about "time" is that it is just as real a "substance" as water might be in the lake. If you were somehow able to spin some streamlined circular object in the water which had some design of blades built into it, the blades would propel water downward, thus forcing the object upward. It would not be so much as to elevate it, but only enough to give it "buoyancy" - thus able to remain balanced on the floor of the lake, just as a top might be on top of the ground.
So, from this, we see a phenomena that water acts on our "top" that makes it behave like an ordinary gyroscope or top. So, perhaps we are on the track to find the solution to our question. But only to the extent of simulating the effect - not answering it.
The fact that the gyroscope must spin gives us some hint about what is making it "levitate" as it does, especially when that levitation diminishes as the speed of the spin diminishes. We know from Newton's laws of momentum and inertia that an object traveling in a certain direction, tends to continue in that direction until an outside force acts on it. This usually applies to an object traveling in a straight line. But the same principle can apply to a spinning gyroscope, continuing to spin as well. So that solves the question of it's momentum.
Buy why does it stay up? Because the momentum is consistently at a fixed axis and angle from the floor or ground. But it still does not answer the question WHY there is momentum in the first place.
An object put into motion has peculiar characteristics because it is affected by time. By virtue of the fact that it is in motion through space, it has somehow created a "path of least resistance" for itself - explaining why it tends to continue traveling in that same direction. Similar to some bobsled along a bobsled track, as long as it doesn't encounter any curves - since it would create centrifugal force if it did.
So we suspect that a "resistance" of time in the area where the object exists seems to be less than that ahead, behind or to the side of it. To be honest - at this point - I do not have the entire answer - but suspect it may have something to do with this: Since mass decreases in size as it's speed increases, perhaps an object traveling in a straight line is creating a phenomena with respect to the "space/time" around it that is reducing resistance against it, much like air pressure acting on a wing designed to force "lift". So a gyroscope is only doing the same thing, only in a circular path, giving it the effect of "levitation" through the same principle. This does not mean that if it could spin fast enough, it would elevate off the ground, since it is not acting like an object underwater with blades on it to force it up. But rather, it is only reducing a path of resistance where it spins at, creating the effect of momentum - and in the case of a gyroscope - angular momentum.
Suppose for the sake of clarity, you have a small glass case. You suspend the gyroscope, touching the bottom but standing straight up. While suspended, you fill the case with a clear cast Lucite liquid and allow it to harden. The gyroscope is now sealed in the Lucite, although not "epoxied" to it. Now place the case in a freezer, cooling down the case, Lucite and gyroscope. Theoretically, the Lucite won't contract as it cools, but the gyroscope will, thus leaving it suspended loosely in the "mold" it created. This mold that it exists in is essentially allowing it to be freely moving, yet preventing it from falling. This is what is happening in essence. Hopefully this is one illustration that helps understand the phenomenon that is taking place.
