Pray for Israel
All scripture are taken from KJV Bible.
All scripture are taken from KJV Bible.
* Gen 25:23-26 and the LORD said unto her, two nations [are] in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and [the one] people shall be stronger than [the other] people; and the elder shall serve the younger. And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, [there were] twins in her womb. And the first came out red, all over like a hairy garment; and they called his name Esau. And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac [was] threescore years old when she bare them.

As we look towards the east and see the road map that is suppose to bring Peace to “Jacob and Esau” Let us remember that we are not fighting against our own brothers and sisters but if not we fight as it is written in: Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

* Gen 12:2,3 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

* Gen 17:5-8 neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

* Gen 32:28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

* Gen 35:10,11 And God said unto him, Thy name [is] Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel. And God said unto him, I [am] God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;

* Psalms 102:12-22 but thou, O LORD, shalt endure forever; and thy remembrance unto all generations. Thou shalt arise, [and] have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof. So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy glory. When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory. He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer. This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD. For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth; To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death; To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem; When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.

* Psalms 105:7-15 He [is] the LORD our God: his judgments [are] in all the earth. He hath remembered his covenant forever, the word [which] he commanded to a thousand generations. Which [covenant] he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac; And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, [and] to Israel [for] an everlasting covenant: Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance: When they were [but] a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it. When they went from one nation to another, from [one] kingdom to another people; He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; [Saying], Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

* Psalms 122:6-9 pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. Peace be within thy walls, [and] prosperity within thy palaces. For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace [be] within thee. Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.

Here are some other scriptures that may help you understand why it is important that we as “gentiles” should keep God’s chosen people in prayer and cover them:

Isaiah 2:1-4
Isaiah 11
Isaiah 40
Jeremiah 31:35-37
Ezekiel 36-39
Zechariah 12-14
John 4:22
Romans 3:1-2
Romans 9 - 11
Revelation 12 & 19

These are but a mere few verses that speak about Israel, God’s chosen people.
If you are still failing to see the importance as to why one should pray for this nation that God has chosen. Then I hope that this “parable” might help you
If you look as Israel as a Tall Tree that is full of life and all the branches have vibrant green leaves on it. As you look around you see another tree that looks decrepit and its leave are dried up in a grayish brown color. Looking at it you notice that it is near no river and that not even the grass grows around it. You look at the other tree and see green Grass and that it is nearby a river, in which you can hear the waters flowing. I want you to watch as a part of that tree limb is torn apart and hear the crackling sound it makes. As you look at where the branch was once, you notice that it is whitish-green and that it is moist and tender. Now you see a branch that is dead, its leaves dried up attached, grafted to this vibrant full of life tree. As you watch, with time you start to notice that the dried up branch is growing. Now I want you to realize this was the same dried up branch that was dried up nearly dying and was next to the tree that is full of life. This comparison/parable is nothing new. It is exactly what Jesus Christ did for you and I. However I want you to understand that now we are “grafted”, “Adopted”, given a Hebrew citizenship. Imagine then…what would happen if that vibrant tree got chopped down, or that its leaves would be ripped apart by other that do not like the tree and are envious. Imagine then, you being grafted in to that “tree” what would happen to you?
I urge you to please keep Israel in prayer always interceding for this nation that has become a blessing of salvation for all the other nations.

* Isaiah 40:28-31 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, [that] the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? [there is] no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to [them that have] no might he increaseth strength Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.
