Is it OK to slam the door when you're mad? No. God wants us to control our emotions, not to let them control us. Emotions are good. We need to understand what we are feeling. It is OK to be angry. But we should also think about why we are angry, talk about it and work at getting over the anger. We have to be careful about how we express our anger. It does not help to yell, scream, call people names, hit or slam doors. The Bible says that we can and should control our anger.

Proverbs 16:32 Better a patient man than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than one who takes a city.
Proverbs 25:28 Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self control.
James 1:19-20 My dear brothers, take note of this; Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.
