We just had an overnight visitor and his horse on the corner of our property. We found his name on this websight doing a search on the town he was coming from. We had a very plesant visit with him and provided him with some feed for his horse. James Story is headed from Asbury, Mo. to Dalhart,Texas on horse. I am glad that you are interested in the Bible. I am looking into it myself and think it is very interesting. My mother is a Jehovah's Witness and she wants me to study the Bible with them. They are helping me as much as I want. I am deaf myself but I read a lot I believe what the Bible says in Ecclesiastes 1:4 that God created the earth to be inhabited by people forever and that his intentions will come true. We are now on a sort of "de-tour" because of what happened in the beginning. I am sure you have heard that Adam and Eve were created with a free will, and therefore could chose who they would listen to. Unfortunately for us, they chose to listen to a snake who is defined for us in Revelation 12:9 as Satan, the original serpent, and therefore God's enemy/opponent. To make a long story short, the Bible tells us that just before God will restore the Paradise on earth, it will be a period with great difficulties and problems on earth and among people, you can f.i. read about it in 2 Timothy 3:1-5. The Paradise God Will restore is the same as Jesus called "the Kingdom" when he taught us to pray: "let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth" (Matthew 6:10) And it is the same kingdom Daniel mentions in Dan. 2:44. Please answer me again because I hope that as many as possible can believe in the wonderful hope for the future. You can contact Jehovah's Witness where you live and I am sure they will answer all your questions about the Bible.

A day once came when I met a man, he said come down and visit if you can. I took a ride a couple hours or so, to an old haunted town I used to know. I walked up to see him, this guy I just met. I knew in a moment, this certain set. It was a cowboy from old who had changed his track, he now lived on a boat instead of horse back. I sat for a while with many tales to hear, it wasn't until Thanksgiving when it was made perfectly clear. I didn't see him much but on this special day. God sent a bible study to lead my way. The chapter to study was in 1st Corinthians 13, I thought it's not real it must be a dream. I let it go to see if God would put us together again, so I drove down for New Years Eve to visit my friend. Yep he was there God's word rang out. Revelations chapter 22, I ended my year with a shout. The next day I packed up to go home. Leaving this Sailor Cowboy on his boat all alone. I thank God for showing me life and love, and if he can hear my prayers, let him know he is blessed from above.

I wanted to let you all know that it was a man named Larry Mumford who witnessed to me in South Fork, CO around the time of 1995-96. I was stuck with a man I didn't love or care for and he was very into the Sundance tradition the the Ute pracitce each year. I was swimming in sin and had a soul as black as coal. Larry to a moment on his way home from a hard day of working on a ranch, to stop and tell me that Jesus was waiting to hear from me. That I could have a personal relationship with God. One on One! The time Larry took to witness to me, changed my life forever!! God sent me a husband that I love dearly and filled me with the THE HOLY GHOST in 1997! My life and my families lives have been forever changed, thanks be to GOD!! I heartfelt thank you to "cowboys for christ" for supporting Larry and his wife while they lived and working in South Fork Colorado. They did make a diffrence and I want every one to know that I will shout it from the rooftops. I will go forth and do the will of God. I will do the work that God sets before me. I know this is a long testimony but I believe it's worth reading, please take the time.In life there's ups and downs especially in the life of cowboys, in the up times everything goes your way lots of wins no injuries lots of good times, but then there are the down times when you struggle in what sometimes seems everything, moneys tight, your body hurts, bills are coming in, and your mental strength isn't as strong. Every cowboy has seen it. Last year in 04, I was having the best year ive ever had the month of june was great, going to three or four rodeos a weekend and winning a check at every rodeo that month except for the last rodeo of that month, needing less then $50 to cover ten thousand that month, but in the first month of july aka cowboy christmas, my head was stepped on breaking my jaw and putting me out that entire month, because I was at the time qualifying for six finals and leading 3 of them sitting top 5 in the others, it hit pretty hard, plus some big expences had to be paid while I was out. I still won the Three assoc. and went to 4 finals my year couldn't have been better. Many people have stories similar to mine because every body has highs and lows, and in rodeo you can not escape injury of some kind big or small, it how you handle do you praise the Lord for the month before and ask for a fast return and a strong mind, or do you get mad and ask him how this could happen to you and forget all he has given you. I hope you keep him in your praise rather then in question, the Lord loves you and will bring you out of any valley and over every mountain as long as you remeber to always let him lead you and don't try to lead him. He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty, PSALM 91:1, PSALM 91 is a great chapture. blessed are those that love the Lord!!

Met a gentleman at the Hoosier Horse Fair in Indianapolis 4-2 that took a picture of my 3 year old grandson standing by a little cowboy that was with him. He asked me if I minded if he put the picture on this web site and call it raising Cowboys for Christ. I have not been able to locate the web site with the picture on it, but I did greatly appreciate him telling about this web site. Hello cfC! I am a cowboy-missionary from the Netherlands-Eu. and I've just finished my Discipleship Training School at Youth With A Mission in Lindale-TX last week. Right now I'm back in Holland but I will be back,in TX,april the second to follow School Of Evangelism,also at YWAM. I was saved on September 18th of this year when I heard Dan Stiles tell his testimony at a Cowboy Church Service up at a rodeo in Kansas. I told Dan my testimony of how I was saved and had asked the Lord to come into my heart and my life. He told his traveling partner Seth Goodling about me and my testimony. Seth came up to me and we had a great conversation. He gave me his phone number and we called eachother so much until he wanted to come back up to Kansas to see me again. So now he drives up to Kansas to see me from Texas. I love him with all my heart, and he means so much to me. He has a perminate place in my life now and it is all because of the Lord. He is such a miracle worker, and my one and only savior.
