DIRECTOR ![]() “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction...James 1:27. In the year 2001 February on a village called Kaliro, Bulamogi, Kamuli District in Eastern Uganda I met four orphan children whose parents had died of HIV AIDS.With the conviction of the Holy Spirit I decided to become a parent to them. They had nowhere to stay, they were malnourished and they had no one to care for them. I decide to bring them into my house to care for them, giving them food and rehabilitating them spiritually. After 2 months I discovered more children in the same village, they too had lost their parents to the AIDS scourge. Before long I was in charge of more children than I thought I would have so I decided to open up an orphanage (By the leading of God). In two years the orphanage was supporting over 50 children in our area. There are many more children who have become disadvantaged because of the AIDS scourge and also because of family conflicts since most of the families here are polygamous families. Political instability has also led to many children remaining parentless and homeless. The place we are renting for the orphanage is definitely small now because of the increased demand and yet constant supply. It can only accommodate about 25 children comfortably so we have left the rest in their guardian's homes and foster homes. However the conditions in these homes they are in are very miserable and have affected the growth of these children. We have seen that the children in the orphanage have an added advantage over those in the villages. We would want to create more room for the rest of the children. We are thankful to God for giving us this opportunity to serve Him by helping His lambs. We have been through tough financial conditions which forced us to reduce the number of children and cut the activities. At this point we have 80 children in our care.We desire to help many more children Partner with us through a financial gift to give Hope to these orphans.
