My wife and I are born again christians and I just stumbled across your web site! We started the adoption process today, selecting a company for home study. We are going to adopt, Lord willing, in Ukraine independently, without an adoption agency, per say, here in the USA. We would be interrested in any and all help/advice you can provide. Do you have a fee schedule/ estimate for the services you provide? Also, do you know hom many dossiers they are totalling at present(you said 558 max from USA in 2007). First of all we want to thank Iryna for her generous support on the adoption of our two children from the Ukraine. We noticed clearly, that it was her wishful wish to carry out the adoption of the children quickly and preferably without any burdens for us. With this letter, I would like to recommend the work and services Iryna is carrying out with regard to adoption in the Ukraine. She has accompanied me in the last week of adoption of our son Daniel, 7, in March 2002, when I had to stay alone with the child in Kiev. Only after my husband had returned home for work it turned out that I had to stay longer in the Ukraine than initially foreseen. During this time, Iryna did her utmost to ease the situation for the two of us. She came when needed, regardless the time of the day. She helped in a very attentive way by commenting on how to manage the new responsibility, taking into account previous experience but without insisting unnecessarily. She helped us with special buying and organized two days out for Daniel and me, which we enjoyed a lot. Iryna is very much interested in seeing the neglected children of her home country in good hands, and therefore cares very much about the couples and children she is working with. Iryna speaks excellent English, which is rare to find in the Ukraine. Although she was not responsible for the organizational side of our adoption process, I can say from our discussions that she is fully in the picture about the steps and stages of an adoption process on an organizational and institutional level. I was very excited to learn of your website. We adopted a beautiful little boy from the Ukraine a year ago in May. He is the light of our lives after Jesus Christ. We know that he would have been dead if we had not adopted him. He was so malnourished and only 15 pounds. He had to have 7 surgeries upon returning to USA. He is now a very healthy and happy 30 pound 2 year old. He came from the Oblast Orphanage in Svalyava near the Romanian border. May God abundantly bless you in your vision and ministry.
