Food for Thought
We found out in Mk.11:24 that we have to believe we receive, when we pray. There is only one power that can give me that ability, and that is the power in the Word. The bible is the revealed will of God, we don't have to pray about that, our job is to believe it. If you have a need, you must first consult the Word to see if it is His will for us, this is vital, to know what He said in His Word. Then comes the difficult part and that is to believe it. The bible says in Acts 2 that it is the will of God for all believers to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, yet multitudes follow their denominational teaching, holding it above what the bible says. James 5 says we are to pray in faith for the sick, you can't possible pray, "if it be thy will" if you are going to pray in faith. The key to how to pray is this: Find a scripture, believe it, then pray it, then stop worrying, because He said you will receive if you believed. Next week we'll talk about praying in tongues and with our understanding.
