Testimonies
I praise God for His healing provision through the precious sacrifice of our Wonderful Lord Jesus Christ, the Saviour of my soul. I also praise God for the power and unchanging truth of His Holy Word, the Bible.
From 15th to 19th January 2001 Family Life Ministries at Chester Hill conducted their annual Vacation Bible School for children and the theme was “THE WORD OF GOD”. On the first day I told the children about the power of God’s Word when He spoke into being all of creation and how all things are held up His Word. The second day I told them how the Word of God was made flesh and dwelt among men and His Name is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I told them of how He was born of a virgin (born without sin) and how He lived without sin and how He healed the sick and did many wonderful miracles showing men that God loves them. On the third day, I told them of the mission of this man, Jesus. How He became our substitute by taking our sins, our sicknesses, our curse and our pain upon Himself so that we could be forgiven of our sins, and our sicknesses could be healed and the curse removed from mankind. I showed the children flannel graph pictures of Jesus Christ on the cross and I was truly blest as I was teaching them. When I came home that afternoon I had a good sleep along with my grand-daughter, Melodie and when I awoke I could not lift my right hand nor move it. I could not bend my fingers even slightly for there was shooting pain from the tips of my fingers to my shoulder. I was first alarmed, and then I thought that I must have slept awkwardly on my hand and so it was cramped. I kept trying to lift my hand and move my fingers but each time there was much pain. Half an hour later I knew it was not cramps like I thought but this was something else. Then I realized that this is an attack from the enemy of my soul. I thought if he could cripple my hand he would hinder me from going to Vacation Bible class the next day and the faith of all the children and the teachers and helpers would be shaken. The Word of God would not be proved to them as a reality. Immediately I stood up and made a declaration to the devil that I stand on redemption ground. I believe that Jesus Christ has redeemed me, body, soul and spirit and I belong to Him. The blood of Jesus Christ has cleansed me from all sin and His Word is true. The Word of God is forever settled in heaven and God is not a liar. The Word of God tells me that Jesus Christ bore the stripes in His body for my healing and therefore in the Name of Jesus Christ I rebuked this pain and claimed healing. Even though these are children, I had been teaching them the truth that God’s Word cannot be broken. His Word tells me that 2000 years ago Jesus took my sicknesses and paid in full for my healing and therefore I claimed complete deliverance from this pain in my hand in the Name of Jesus.
All the while I kept making these declarations I have been trying to move my hand and my fingers and the pain persisted. Then I began praising God and thanking Him for His wonderful salvation and healing through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for me. I praised Him for the precious blood of Jesus that has sealed my provisions through the merits of Calvary. As I began to praise Him and rejoice in His wonderful salvation the pain began to ease up and I could move my fingers a bit more. By the evening I got the deliverance totally and I was fine and took the Vacation Bible class the next day and I have been fine since then. All glory and praise be to the God of my salvation and all glory and praise to Jesus Christ who took my place and set me free. All glory to the Holy Spirit who makes the Word of God real and confirms the same. How precious it is to have a relationship with Almighty God through our Wonderful Lord Jesus Christ.
