THE LIBERTY BELL - GOD'S TRUTH CAN NOT BE HID!
|
HOW, WHY AND WHAT TO DO
The 10 of March, 1999, A.D.
I have visited Independence National Historic Park, Philadelphia, Penn., USA (Independence Hall) several times in 1996 with my family to see The Liberty Bell and other landmarks. I noted the following U.S. Federal Government misrepresentations of our American History, which I now testify to in all good faith:
I. THE FIRST ISSUE: HOW

ONE: At The Liberty Bell, The Federal guards omit the correct reason for The Pennsylvania Colonial Assembly ordering The Bell in 1751: to celebrate 50 years of liberty in Pennsylvania under William Penn’s 1701 "Charter of Privileges." (2,3,13) A Federal guard stated to me,
"The Bell was not a symbol of liberty to anyone, and was just an ordinary bell, until an abolition group in Philadelphia in the 1830’s adopted it as a symbol of their cause." He further stated to me, "There is no evidence that The Bell was actually ordered by the Pennsylvania Assembly to celebrate the 50 year jubilee of Penn’s 1701 Charter: it is coincidental."
This is the same supposedly "ordinary bell" that was rung in July of 1776 to alert the people to the first public reading of The Declaration of Independence. This is the same supposedly "ordinary bell" that was hidden from the enemy in the basement of Zion’s Church in Allentown, Pennsylvania when Philadelphia was occupied by the British Army! (2,13)

TWO: At The Liberty Bell, The Federals omit any mention of William Penn’s 1701 "Charter of Privileges," who founded the Colony of Pennsylvania (2,3):
"Almighty God being the only Lord of Conscience...and Author as well as object of all Divine Knowledge, faith and worship, who only doth enlighten the minds and persuade and convince the understandings of people, I do hereby grant and declare: that no person or persons, inhabiting in this province or territory who shall confess and acknowledge our Almighty God and Creator, Upholder and Ruler of the world; and profess him or themselves obliged to live quietly under civil government, shall be in any case molested or prejudiced in his or her person or estate...
And that all persons who also profess to believe in Jesus Chirst, the Savior of the World, shall be capable to serve this government in any capacity, both legislatively or executively."

THREE: At The Liberty Bell, regarding the inscription of The Bell, "Proclaim liberty to all the inhabitants throughout the land," a Federal guard stated to me,
"There is no evidence to show that The Pennsylvania Assembly or the average person on the street knew or were aware of why The Bell was ordered and why this inscription was chosen."
When I noted that the then Speaker of The Pennsylvania Colonial Assembly himself – a Mr. Isaac Norris – chose the inscription for The Bell from Leviticus 25:10 of The Bible (2,3,13), the Federal guard replied,
"The only person who knows why this inscription was chosen to be placed on The Liberty Bell was Speaker Norris himself. We deal in facts – not folklore."
Yet, I personally noted the inscription on The Bell is visible for all the world to see and reads:
"LEV XXV/X. PROCLAIM LIBERTY THROUGHOUT ALL THE LAND UNTO ALL THE INHABITANTS THEROF. BY ORDER OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE PROVINCE OF PENSYLVANIA FOR THE STATE HOUSE IN THE CITY OF PHILADA."

FOUR: At The Liberty Bell, I noted to a Federal guard that, in "The Rewriting of American History" by Catherine Millard, the first half of Leviticus 25:10 was added to a base for The Bell in 1873, "And you shall keep holy the 50th year." (2) I observed that this clearly shows why The Pennsylvania Colonial Assembly ordered The Bell with Leviticus 25:10 inscribed on it in 1751. To this, the Federal guard replied,
"The Bell was actually made in 1753. If it were made to celebrate the 50th year of Penn’s 1701 Charter, it would have been made in 1751."
I protested that The Bell was ordered in 1751 to no avail.(2) He further knew nothing of The Bell’s old base with the 1873 inscription. (2,3)

FIVE: At The Liberty Bell, the Federal guards fail to clearly identify The Source of "Proclaim liberty throughout the land…" and fail to mention the "And you shall keep holy the 50th year" in verbal presentations. The source is, of course, Leviticus 25:10 in The Holy Bible (1). In this way, the obvious motivation for The Bell having been made with Leviticus 25:10 inscribed on it is hidden from public consideration.

SIX: At The Liberty Bell, the Federal guards conclude,
"The Liberty Bell is a world symbol of freedom."
This may be so, but only because it is first an American symbol of liberty based on The Holy Word of God to The Israelites in Leviticus 25:10 and The Christian liberty proclaimed by William Penn’s 1701 "Charter of Privileges." The Bell is thus this American symbol first. Yet, the Federals suppress this information, which – if honestly laid before the public – would clearly acknowledge The Source of American liberty. (1,2,13).

SEVEN: Most shocking of all, the Federal guards fail to mention the correct manor in which The Bell came to be known as "The Liberty Bell." William Federer, in "America’s God and Country Encyclopedia of Quotations," printed by Fame Publishing in 1994, reports on page 370:
"The Liberty Bell got its name for being rung July 8, 1776, at the first public reading of The Declaration of Independence…" (3)

EIGHT: The famous statue of George Washington by Joseph Alexis Bailly stands between The Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. Under Washington’s right hand is a book identified as The Holy Bible by historian Catherine Millard. (15) The identity of this book is crucial because it was George Washington who began the custom of U.S. Presidents swearing allegiance to the U.S. Constitution with their hand upon a chosen verse from The Holy Bible (2). Washington placed his hand upon Genesis 49:22-25 in 1789 when he was sworn in as our first President under the U.S. Constitution (15). Yet, when I asked Federal guards the question, "Is that a Bible under Washington’s hand?", one Federal guard stated to me,
"I don’t know…I can’t say." Still another Federal guard replied to me, "It could be a Bible…or it could be a U.S. government law book. We have no way of knowing for sure."

NINE: The famous print of "The First Prayer in Congress" by T.H. Matheson depicts our 1st Congress in 1774 at Carpenters’ Hall, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania being lead in prayer to The LORD by the then Pastor of Christ Church of Philadelphia -–Jacob Duche'. Before proceeding with the most urgent of business, the Representatives at our 1st Congress in 1774 first sought Divine Guidance & Delivery: Pastor Jacob Duche' read Psalms 35 and then lead our 1st Continental Congress in prayer to God. (1) This print clearly shows from Whom our Founding Fathers put their trust for delivery from tyranny (2,3,8,12).
Yet, this national treasure is NOT on display in Carpenters’ Hall, nor anywhere else at Independence Park. Rather, it is stored in a vault by the Federal Park Service in the building that was once our first national bank between Carpenters’ Hall and the "Visitors’ Center." Following is the conversation I had with a Federal guard at the Visitors’ Center when my family and I asked to see "The First Prayer in Congress" print:
"You can’t," responded the Federal guard. "Why not?" I asked. "Because it’s not on public display," replied the Federal guard. "Why not?" I pressed. "Because we’re not allowed to display any thing that has to do with Religion because it might be offensive to people who don’t believe in God, " explained the Federal guard. In my utter shock, I replied, "Ma’am, this government is an offense to God!" I further objected that this was an outrage and disgrace, pointing out that our very coins state, "In God We Trust!" To my even greater shock, the Federal guard replied, "Sir, I agree with you. But, we’re not allowed to talk about anything related to God or we could loose our jobs! I’m risking loosing my job just talking to you now!"
The same Federal guard then advised us to call the park curator for an appointment to see "the First Prayer in Congress" print. I turned momentarily away from the desk. When I turned around again, the Federal guard had been replaced. When we finally viewed this historic print a few weeks later, the curator maintained that the print is not on public display because,
"The artist was not an eye witness and the print is only an idealization of this historic event." This apparently justifies keeping "The First Prayer in Congress" print in a U.S. Federal vault and out of the public eye.

TEN: Near Independence Hall stands a Federal reconstruction of the Graff House where Thomas Jefferson penned the Declaration of Independence in 1776 (2,3,15). The main attraction is a film which focuses on Jefferson’s noble attempt to abolish slavery in his draft text. Yet, the most important fact – that the final draft of The Declaration of Independence makes 4 references to God – is completely ignored (4,9). This is crucial because the foundation of American Freedom is that Liberty is a gift from God, not government. The words that Jefferson penned for our 3rd Congress speak for themselves:
"…the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God…"
"…endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights…"
"…appealing to the Supreme Judge of the World…"
"…with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence…" (4,9,41,42)
II. THE SECOND ISSUE: WHY
Why is a historically correct account of our Founding Fathers’ efforts and words so important to Americans today? Why are the Federals going to such extremes to rewrite American history?
Consider the words of George Washington at his Inaugural Address of 1789 as our 1st President under The U.S. Constitution:"The propitious (favorable) smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained." (2,3,5,14)
Washington had just lead our nation against overwhelming odds to battle the then mightiest military power on Earth – and won! Washington, a devout Christian who often worshipped at Christ Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (1), clearly recognized and acclaimed by what Power our Nation was delivered from tyranny (2,15).
At his first inauguration, Washington's hand rested upon a Bible opened to Genesis 49:22-25a (15).

Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall
The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:
But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the Hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (From thence is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel:)
Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee… (1)

Note the opening lines of our Declaration of Independence (4,9,41,42):
"We hold these Truths to be self-evident: that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness..."
Thomas Jefferson, in "Notes on the State of Virginia" said (2,3): God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can these liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are a gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed, I tremble for my Country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever."
Consider The Bible Scriptures read by Pastor Jacob Duche' of Christ Church of Philadelphia to our 1st Congress at Carpenters’ Hall (2,3,12). He read all of the 35th Psalm. Consider Psalm 35:1-5.+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
PSALM 35:1-5:
Plead my cause, O LORD, with those who strive with me; fight against them that fight against me.
Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.
Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me. Say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.
Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul; let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.
Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the Angel of The LORD chase them. (1)

The same Pastor Jacob Duche' then lead our 1st Congress in prayer (2,3,12), the beginning of which reads:
"O LORD, our Heavenly Father, high and mighty King of Kings, Lord of Lords, who dost from Thy throne behold all the dwellers upon the earth, and reignest with power supreme and uncontrolled over all kingdoms, empires and governments, look down in mercy, we beseech Thee, upon these American States who have fled to Thee from the rod of the oppressor, and thrown themselves upon Thy gracious protection, desiring to be henceforth dependent only upon Thee…"
I conclude that the Federal guards at The Liberty Bell are NOT there to guard the exhibits from the citizens; rather, they are there to guard US – the citizens – from the truths of the exhibits! But what is the purpose of trivializing, secularizing, omitting and outright lying by the Federals about American history at The Liberty Bell? Why not simply present the correct and honest history of America? Why to the Federals wish to filter and interpret American history for us?
The answer to my question is this: If the Federals can convince Americans that our Liberties are – not unalienable Rights endowed to us by our Creator – but rather gifts bestowed upon us by our government, then whomever controls the reigns of government in America will be free to change, suppress and redefine our Rights for their own ends!
Here is the danger: civil justice not based on the Absolutes of Judeo-Christian Standards of The Holy Scriptures, but rather on godless secularism, will lead only to darker and more painful tyranny in America. We need only look to the French Revolution, the Russian Revolution, our own American Civil War, the Reconstruction of The South, and Nazi Germany to see clearly the Evil results of such paths. It is reported that, in the 25 years since the infamous Roe vs. Wade U.S. Supreme Court decision to make abortion legal, America has murdered 35 million unborn babies (16,17).
A recent study by Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership (JPFO) documents that about 56 million civilians have been murdered in 7 major 20th Century GENOCIDES; these civilians were murdered by genocidal governments after having been disarmed through "Gun Control." (18) The brutal murders of American Citizens recently by our own U.S. Federal Government at Waco, Texas (19,48) and Rubie Ridge, Idaho (20) are but a foretaste of what such an America would look like.

Righteousness exalteth a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people. (1)

Consider what happens to a nation that rejects Biblical righteousness and embraces sin. The Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson, in the July/August, 1999 issue of "Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny," warns of the dire consequences today to all American families of rejecting God's Laws for family and society. For example, when husbands & fathers are absent from their God-ordained roles in the family, society crumbles into chaos: "Examples of this chaos abound: angry mothers, sex out of wedlock, abortions, gang violence, low self-esteem, drug and alcohol abuse, government dependency, dependency on leaders to guide one's life, and an abundance of weak men. The attack on the father is a spiritual attack; a warfare, as I often say, between good and evil. There is an order to life and that order is God in Christ, Christ in man, and man over woman and family. When that order is broken, a household, and a society, cannot help but have increasing levels of chaos. No other order will work other than the one I have just described." (58)
However, there is yet hope. Note Psalms 125:3 & II Chronicles 7:14.

For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity. (1)
II CHRONICLES 7:14:
If my people, which are called by My Name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (1)

Americans today must take a stand – not just to insist that our National history be correctly preserved and displayed – but that we as individuals, families, communities and as a nation choose Good over Evil, Righteousness over Sin, God our Creator over the devil. We must then insist that our government & its institutions do the same. It is only in doing so and following the examples of our Founding Fathers’ Faith that America will survive and prosper again. We may serve either The Light or The Darkness, but not both.

III. THE THIRD ISSUE: WHAT TO DO
How can we accomplish this? Note Romans 6:6-13.

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him:
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over Him.
For in that He died, He died unto sin once: but in that He liveth, He liveth unto God.
Likewise recon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. (1)

Pastor Richard Allen, founder of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, wrote in 1777 (11): "…My sins were a heavy burden. I was tempted to believe there was no mercy for me. I cried to The LORD both night and day. One night I thought hell would be my portion. I cried unto Him Who delighteth to hear the prayers of a poor sinner, and all of a sudden my dungeon shook, my chains fell off, and, glory to God, I cried. My soul was filled. I cried, enough for me – the Saviour died. Now my confidence was strengthened that The LORD, for Christ’s sake, had heard my prayers and pardoned all my sins…"
The words spoken by Abraham Lincoln on 30 March, 1863, in which he proclaimed a National Fast Day, carry a conviction that – although sadly not then adequate to cause him to halt The Civil War – speaks to us today and to the cause of our present suffering in America (3)"...We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven. We have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power as no other nation has evern grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious Hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vaily imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us! It behooves us then to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national sins and to pray for clemency and forgiveness..."
Yet another American in the dark days of The Civil War – Robert E. Lee – once implored a number of our fellow countrymen to observe a day of fasting, humiliation and prayer on 8 April, 1864, proclaiming (3,21,22,23):"…Let us humble ourselves before The LORD, our God, asking through Christ the forgiveness of our sins, beseeching the aid of the God of our forefathers in the defence of our homes and our liberties, thanking Him for His past blessings, and imploring their continuance..."
Returning again to the year 1776: after the signing of The Declaration of Independence, a committee in Congress was formed to draft a national seal that would express the spirit of America. Both Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin were on this committee (3,24):
Thomas Jefferson proposed for our national seal (3,24): "The children of Israel in the wilderness, led by a cloud by day, and a pillar of fire by night."
Benjamin Franklin then suggested (3,24): "Moses lifting up his wand, and dividnig the Red Sea, and Pharaoh in his chariot overwhelmed with the waters. This motto, 'Rebellion to tyrants is Obedience to God'."
PROPOSED US SEAL BY FRANKLIN & JEFFERSON IN 1776
from "Religion and the Congress of the Confederation, 1774-89"Further, in 1787, after prolonged, bitter and futile efforts by delegates at the Constitutional Convention, Benjamin Franklin rose to plead that all present turn to Divine Guidance for help (3,14)
"…In the beginning of the Contest with Great Britain, when we were sensible of danger, we had daily prayer in this room for Divine protection. Our prayers, Sir, were heard, & they were graciously answered…And have we now forgotten that powerful Friend? Or do we imagine we no longer need His assistance? I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth – that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow can not fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? (see Matthew 10:29-31)

We have been assured, Sir, in the Sacred Writings, that except The LORD build the House, they labor in vain that build it. (see Psalms 127:1-2)

I firmly believe this, and I also believe that without His concurring aid we shall succeed in this Political building no better than the Builders of Babel…(see Genesis 11:4-9)

I therefore beg leave to move – that henceforth prayers imploring the assistance of Heaven…be held in this Assembly every morning before we proceed to business, and that one or more of the clergy of this city be requested to officiate in that service."
It is revealing to note that Benjamin Franklin himself, in his official capacity as an ambassador of The United States of America, publicly compared George Washington to the Israelite leader Joshua. At a dinner for foreign dignitaries in Versailles, the minister of Great Britain proposed a toast to King George III – comparing him o the sun. The French minister then proposed a toast to King Louis XVI – comparing him to the moon. Franklin then stood and toasted (3):
"George Washington, Commander of the American armies, who, like Joshua of old, commanded the sun and the moon to stamd still, and they obeyed him." (See Joshua 10:12-14)

Then spake Joshua to The LORD in the day when The LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajaion.
And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
And there was no day like that before it, or after it, that The LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for The LORD fought for Israel. (1)

No, America’s Founding Fathers were NOT perfect, sinless, Saints. However, they knew of certain Truths which we today in America have forgotten. The question must now be asked: what Truths did our Founding Fathers know that we today in this Nation have abandoned?
Consider Joshua 24:14-24.

And Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you The LORD to serve Him. And they said, we are witnesses.
Now, therefore, put away, said he, the strange Gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto The LORD God of Israel.
And the people said unto Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and His voice will we obey. (1)

Lest America suffer the just fate of Sodom and Gomorrah for our sins as in Genesis 19, let us repent while there is still time. As Joshua once called the House of Israel to pledge themselves to God, did not George Washington call Americans to do the same before God? Yes, he did many times over!
General George Washington wrote regarding God’s Deliverance to America in 1778 (3): "The hand of Providence has been so conspicuous in all this (the course of the war) that he must be worse than an infidel that lacks faith, and more wicked that has not gratitude to acknowledge his obligations; but it will be time enough for me to turn Preacher when my present appointment ceases."
Yet another of Washington’s many petitions to God for America, circa 1792 (3,5,6):
"May the same wonder-working Deity, who long since delivering the Hebrews from their Egyptian Oppressors & planted them in the Promised Land – whose Providential Agency has lately been conspicuous in establishing these United States as an independent Nation – still continue to water them with the dews of Heaven and to make the inhabitants of every denomination participate in the temporal and spiritual blessings of that people whose God is Jehovah."
Washington’s National Thanksgiving Proclamation of 1795 begins (5):
It is in an especial manner our duty as a people, with devout reverence and affectionate gratitude, to acknowledge our many and great obligations to Almighty God, and to implore Him to continue and confirm the blessings we experienced. Deeply penetrated with this sentiment, I, George Washington, President of the United States, do recommend to all Religious societies and denominations, and to all persons whomsoever within the United States, to set apart and observe…a day of public thanksgiving and prayer…"
A prayer of Washington’s circa 1778 (3):
"And now, Almighty Father, if it is Thy Holy will that we shall obtain a place and name among the nations of the earth, grant that we may be enabled to show our gratitude for Thy goodness by our endeavors to fear and obey Thee. Bless us with Thy wisdom in our counsels, success in battle, and let all our victories be tempered with humility…Grant the petition of Thy servant, for the sake of Him whom Thou hast called Thy Beloved Son; nevertheless, not my will, but Thine be done."
Why did Washington have such strong conviction that America then and always would need God’s Deliverance, rather than calling on Americans to rely on their own strengths? President Washington wrote in 1792 (3,6):
"I am sure that never was a people, who had more reason to acknowledge a Divine interposition in their affairs, than those of the United States; and I should be pained to believe that they have forgotten that Agency, which was so often manifested during our Revolution, or that they failed to consider the omnipotence of that God who is alone able to protect them."
This is why Washington issued this Order to his Army in the dark days at Valley Forge in 1778 (2,3):
"While we are zealously performing the duties of good citizens and soldiers, we certainly ought not to be inattentive to the higher duties of Religion. To the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest Glory to laud the more distinguished Character of Christian…"
What drove this man George Washington? His love of God, confessing Jesus Christ as his Saviour! From Washington’s private Prayer Journal, in which he wrote 24 pages of Prayers, consider his entry from WEDNESDAY MORNING (3,5):"…Almighty and eternal Lord God, the great Creator of heaven and earth, and the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ; look down from Heaven, in pity and compassion upon me Thy servant, who humbly prostrate myself before Thee, sensible of Thy mercy and my own misery… Help all in affliction or adversity – give them patience and a sanctified use of their affliction, and in Thy good time, deliverance from them; forgive my enemies, take me unto Thy protection this day, keep me in perfect peace, which I ask in the Name and for the sake of Jesus. Amen."
All Americans of Faith must rediscover our Nation’s Godly Heritage and call our Nation back to salvation in THE LORD – while there is yet time! Let us thus today rededicate ourselves to again be a "Nation under God," for do our very coins and bills not so testify against us, "In God We Trust?" Or have we Americans forgotten this CALL?

I close noting George Washington’s Prayer for America, which is displayed in its entirety at Christ Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and at Washington Memorial Chapel at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania (2,3,5,6,10,14):
"Almighty God, we make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection…And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that charity, humility and pacific temper of mind which were the characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without which a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication, we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."
I conclude the Biblical foundation of Washington’s "Prayer for America" rests upon Micah 6:8.

On these two Commandments hang all The Law and the Prophets. (1)

"He who loves God must also love his brother." 
It is my earnest prayer, to God Almighty our Creator who gave us our Liberties, in the Name of Jesus Christ Our Saviour, that these words will be a help and an encouragement to all who read them. It is my unfailing conviction that, when we trust in The LORD, as did our Christian Founding Fathers, there can never be any doubt that GOD will deliver His people in this time and place - and in all times and places - who earnestly seek to love God Almighty and to love their neighbours! As Martin Luther once proclaimed, so now I am compelled to state, "Here I stand. I can do no other. So help me, God. Amen!" (44,45)With All Due Respect,
