The Touch of God
|
“And there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched” (I Sam. 10:26)
Every one desires the touch of God on their lives and so in spelling out the word T-O-U-C-H we can begin to see how God‘s hand can and will touch us.
T--RANSFORMS
“…if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature” (II Cor. 5:17)
The touch of God brings forgiveness of sins to those who repent and believe. It will bring a cleansing and give you power to yield your self totally to God. This transforming touch of God will make everything new. We receive a new life in Christ Jesus, new desires, new activities, and a new hope of eternal life one day (II Cor. 5:17)
Any one who belongs to Christ is a new person. The past is forgotten and everything is new.
O—RDAINS… “…I have…ordained you that ye should go and bring forth fruit…” (John 15:16)
Many Christians will fail because they do not work for God. Some think only ministers are to witness to the unsaved and win them to Christ…Not so … the touch of God ordains all Christian’s into God’s service. Everyone can share something for God--- just a smile, or a prayer for someone, a helping hand.
I once heard Joyce Meyers say, “you have to reach out not in” think of others and not yourselves. Get your mind off your problem and get your minds on Christ.” How true this is and this is what God wants for us to do as Christians. When Peter was in the boat and Jesus was walking on the water… Peter got out of the boat and began to walk toward Jesus BUT when he took is eyes off Jesus he began to sink… keep our minds set on Jesus do not look to the right or to the left but on Him.
“You did not choose me I chose you and sent you out to produce fruit the Kind of fruit that will last, than my Father will give you whatever you ask for in my name.” Jesus said.
U—NIFIES "… How good … it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!!!”(Ps. 133:1)
There are many churches that fail because their members do not work together; they are divided some even pulling in different directions, one in one direction and the other in another direction. This can not work it only cause’s confusion and God will not work in confusion.
It is truly wonderful when you have relatives that will live together in peace. We are all relatives for we are Sister’s and Brother’s in Christ. We are a part of the Family of God.
The touch of God will bring harmony and love. It will enable us to accomplish His work in the “unity” of the “Spirit”… (Eph.4:2,
“With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; “ Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Always be humble and gentle. Patiently put up with each other and love each other. Try your best to let God’s Spirit keep your hearts united. Do this by living at peace.
C—ONQUERS… “…we are more than conquerors through him that loved us”. In everything we have won more than a victory because of Christ who loves us.
Many Christians give up too easily. They throw up their hands and quit when they are persecuted, rebuked, or when they fail to get their own way. We have probably all been guilty of this at one time or another.
This is when the touch of God’s hand gives us courage to go on and to conquer what ever it is that we have come up against, and than Christ will finish giving us the strength which will enable us to “keep on keeping on” (Phil.4:13)… I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Christ will give us the strength to face anything amen…
H—EALS… "…And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him…”(Matt. 9:29)…
There are many who have never experienced a divine healing BECAUSE of lack of faith. Oh how by times I have struggled with this. We all do for the humanness with in us makes us think well I really do not feel all better maybe??? We can not receive or expect a blessing from Him without FAITH (Heb.11:6)…"But with out faith no one can please God.we must believe that God is real, and that He rewards everyone who searches for Him.” I have a friend who is a preacher and he has so many times tried to teach me about the kind of faith we need to have to be healed. He has this faith and I see it work all the time with him this is what we all need this kind of no doubting at all faith. God said it … I believe it… and that settles it. Only by reading the Word and growing closer and closer to the Lord day by day will help us to have this kind of steadfast faith.
The touch of God will bring a physical, mental, and spiritual healing if we believe we will receive… God will touch us through His Word, the Bible, reading His Word will encourage us and cause us to have the kind of faith that we need to be able to win over all of life’s trials and needs that will come our way for remember (I Peter 5:8) Satan is going about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he can devour” and (John 10:10)“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I (JESUS) am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” He wants our lives to be healthy, happy and prosperous.( 3 John 1:2) Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
Praying believing, accepting, and obeying (Matt. 9:29)…“Jesus touched their eyes and said, “Because of your faith you WILL BE HEALED.”
… “And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.”
As we all grow in the Word of God we will begin to have the faith that will move mountains, we just need to keep our eyes on Jesus reading and studying the Word of God to make our selves worthy.
I to along with all of you have to daily pick up my cross and carry it. There may be times when I will falter but Jesus who is with me and will never leave me nor forsake me will always pick me up and encourage me and show me His ways so I can be strengthened in the FAITH. And He will do this for all. Prayer is the way to Heaven but FAITH opens the door.
May God add His blessings to these Words that have been shared here with you. Pray for one another in that way we can all be what God wants us to be. … “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; be not frightened, neither be dismayed; for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
And Jesus said, “If you can! All things are possible to him who believes.”
For she said to herself, “If I only touch his garment, I shall be made well.” And Jesus turned and said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And instantly the woman was made well.
The Touch of God…Transforms… Ordains… Unifies…Conquers…and Heals.
