DRAW THE LINE ![]() Mar 14, 2002 12:32 pm This is a little booklet I put together and though it is longer than our usual postings, I hope it will minister to you. THEY'VE JUST GONE TOO FAR! Remember in your youth when the school bully would try to pick a fight, the poor victim would either have to respond with action or retreat. Sometimes the action would be immediate and decisive, but sometimes the challenged-one would draw a line in the sand and dare the bully to cross the line. If the challenged one knew he had no chance, he may draw several lines until recess was over. The comedian would draw a line and then when the bully would cross it he would say, "Now your on my side", in hopes that humor would calm the savage beast. Of course there were those who never drew lines because they never took their stand. They would rather lick-boot than possibly be licked. Of course this person would usually talk a great war when the bully was nowhere to be seen. Then there was the guy who didn't go looking for trouble, but wouldn't run from it if it found him. He wasn't going around with a "chip on his shoulder," with an, "I dare you to knock it off," demeanor. But everybody knew that he had already drawn a line, and crossing it was no joke. While most of the time it really wasn't worth taking a stand, occasionally a person had no choice. Even the non-violent person sometimes must take a stand rather than run. There is more than one way to fight, if flight is not an option. Well, public schools (actually government schools) have bullied their way into private lives over the past years, intruding into private affairs, destroying family values and undermining religious beliefs and practices. There have been very few who have drawn a line in the sand, while some drew lines for wrong reasons. A line should be drawn when the bully is challenging our Biblical faith. Whenever I say "Nobody drew a line" there are many situations about which I do not know, but I am dealing with the general populous, rather than specific, isolated cases. And when I say, "Nobody drew a line" I am really asking, "Did you draw a line?" In the late 1950's and early 60's we allowed the educational system to gear up it's Humanism, (with studies like humanistic psychology) and secularism, (the separating of the "sacred" from the "secular"). Nobody drew a line. In 1962 the Supreme Court, at least that is their opinion, ruled against God's Word in the public schools. We let the State i.e.government, whether local, state or federal, outlaw the Ultimate Authority and make criminals of those who hold It as the essential fare for the mind and soul. Nobody drew a line. In 1963 the same "Supreme Court" outlawed prayer in the public school. I know there are many who will argue that it never happened, but denying a reality doesn't make it any less real. Even though God's Word says to pray without ceasing. Nobody drew a line. You may want to argue that a great number of church schools were started in the late 60's and early 70's, but many, if not most of those schools were "white flight" schools, racist backlashes to integration. That was not a Biblical reason for Christian's to draw a line. The theory of evolution of the species accelerated during the 60's. Rather than teaching that man was created in the image of God and then fell from his exalted position because of sin, which the Bible clearly says, evolution advances the fantasy that man lifted himself by his own bootstraps from some primordial slime, thus making God the creation of man and man not in need of a Savior. Nobody drew a line. Academics was no longer the hallmark of the public school system. Reading, writing, and arithmetic was not the objective of teachers, but rather affecting change. It got to the point where studies were made on why American students couldn't read, couldn't do math and didn't know the advantages of the American way of life, and Nobody drew a line. Young people would go to school and have their faith, not only challenged, but mocked, scoffed and derided by highly esteemed teachers, well beloved music instructors, authoritarian office staff and popular coaches, all trained in the Secular-Humanistic State teachers' colleges. The only voices that would even dare to lift up the Bible or the name of Jesus were often the hair-netted black ladies that worked in the cafeteria and the old fuddy-duddy teachers of whom everyone made fun. Soon those voices were muffled and eventually silenced, and Nobody drew a line. Children were sent off in buses where older children from pagan families who had been abused and exposed to all manner of perversion would victimize the smaller children with violence, sexual assault, humiliation, and verbal abuse, and Nobody drew a line. The text books attacked the true and living faith of the Christian children, and Nobody drew a line. Mysticism, and mythology were introduced as viable belief systems while experimentation in eastern religions took place, and Nobody drew a line. There came a time when the Ten Commandments were not allowed to be posted in the schools, and Nobody drew a line. Children from Christian homes were not allowed to write about Christian subjects, read Christian books at reading time, mention Christian concepts at graduation ceremonies or pray for their meals, and Nobody drew a line. Though some of us remember when chewing gum was the big crime in class, as time passed, it came to the point when kids walked the halls and sat in classes with a pagan student body who was allowed to behave in a way that was totally contrary to the home life and church life that some parents were trying to pass on to their children. Obscene language, vulgar gestures, promiscuous behavior, verbal and physical sexual assault, fondling, peer pressure, alcohol, drugs, sodomy were not only present and available, but forced on the kids during school hours and that not only by the students but the teachers as well and Nobody drew a line. Projects and activities were assigned which pried into the personal and private lives of the family and undermined the authority of the parents and Nobody drew a line. Classes which trained the children in values clarification or Fletcherism or situation ethics, began to replace the absolute authority of God and His Word, and Nobody drew a line. The tearing down of our National sovereignty and the exalting of a one world, socialistic system went on under our very noses and Nobody drew a line. The sanctity of marriage was being destroyed while the abomination called homosexuality was being promoted, and Nobody drew a line. So-called sex education, actually training in sexual promiscuity, which was supposed to save us from the problem of unwanted pregnancies actually accelerated the problem and ushered in a new openness to abortion, the killing of our children's children, and Nobody drew a line. If a child goes to school and develops a headache, he is not allowed to be given an aspirin, even by the school nurse, but if a girl complains of other problems, she can be taken off campus, examined and given an abortion, without the parents ever being notified, and Nobody drew a line. Classes in "death education" were introduced, showing kids how to plan their own funerals, taking them to funeral homes and doing papers on what it might feel like to die or commit suicide and then being taught the "safest" way to kill oneself, and Nobody drew a line. The suicide rate among teens has continued to skyrocket relative to the anti-Christ teachings in our schools and Nobody drew a line. Kids were allowed to start wearing clothing which depicted satanic and violent themes, drug use, sexual decadence and racial hatred, and Nobody drew a line. Library books and computer programs gave access to materials which promoted paganism and degraded Christianity, and Nobody drew a line. The school yard became a war zone where metal detectors, armed guards, strip searches and every other kind of "preventative measure" is used to none effect, and Nobody drew a line. The current state of affairs in our society is a morbid monument to the counterculture foisted on the unsuspecting students who have been enslaved in the name of education, and Nobody drew a line. THIS JUST SCRATCHES THE SURFACE. A Few Observations * Due to the impact of several incidents of school violence since the late 90's, various steps have been taken to stem the red tide of killing, but Jesus is still expelled. Parents still bus or cart their children to a place where Jesus is not allowed. * Most parents would not work in an environment as dangerous as the "government schools" and they would not accept the oppression which is foisted on their children. * Though the Bible says that "Bad company corrupts good morals", parents claim that their children are "witnesses" or "missionaries" in these hostile environments, and yet they would not stay in a job scene that was half as dangerous or oppressive. To send children into this environment and call it "missions" is a cop-out. The children are not missionaries, they have not been trained or called or prepared for the work and they are not supported by any board or group. They are not there by God's sending but rather by state and parental decision. Where do they get the idea that they can offer the souls of their children on the altar of Moloch. * Parents actually send their children to these "butcher shops of the mind, soul and family" because they are too lazy or too scared or too selfish to do the right thing or because they don't know any better. IT IS TIME TO DRAW THE LINE!!! WHEN WILL YOU DRAW THE LINE? ![]() |
